Went there for a part was soppost to be $20, pulled it off the truck went to pay for tried to charge me more for it, told them thats not what i was told before pulling part and they told me they wasnt going to be called a liar and yanked it out of my hands told me to leave. Was told tires are $30-$40 a piece until I went up there and they tried to charge $70 for ONE tire when I was up there a week ago and bought 3 tires for $90. Why the upcharge from $30-$40 for one tire to $70? You lost business as we were planning on using this place as somewhere we could go with decent prices to fix multiple vehicles. Won't be going back to Purdys!
Best place there is to take all your scrap and ferris metals get the most for your stuff and never get cheated. Owner and staff are awesome people and you will always be treated fair.
I do alot of small car repairs for people on low income and helping the elderly, i went to purdys to get a AC line for a car i was fixing for a lady who didn't have much income After talking to the lady at purdys she found out i was doing the job for free she gave me the line God bless good people like purdys who still look out for one another i wont do business with any other place and you shouldn't either Purdys is A+ in my book the lady has cold air and karma just keeps going around.

Great place to do business. Always provides costumers the highest price for all recyclable material with no issues. Well equipped staff available to assist if they are needed. Completely professional, honest and fair. I highly recommend this place for all recyclable material for top pay.
I like going to purdy's because I like the owner he's a nice man but the only thing I have a problem with is people not wanting to help unload my truck now I just got done with chemotherapy and I have a hernia but I had to pay somebody $5 so they would help me unload my truck
Purdy's has it all in used parts as well as tire's also the most respectful employes as well as helpful information about used parts as well as recyclable capability .I thoroughly appreciate it all the greatness of American's at their best. Oh my goodness! I love this place. It's my home away from home. Its every repurposers dream. From antique hardware, bed frames, iron chairs to boat trailers just waiting to be turned into a car hauler. Also, while your browsing you can drop off the things you don't want and get some extra cash in your pocket. It's the bestest place in the world.
Why does this website say your open today? Just made a wasted trip there from Madisonville and no more money for gas..... Big disappointment!! Need to get that updated!!
At least when you go there and you weigh your stuff you can see what your stuff ways they don't hide it like the one here Lenoir City they put it in a metal bin and drive it around the building and won't let you see what your stuff weighs this place does
Has a little bit of every part...you could call ahead of time pay just few more bucks and they will pull your part for u...grate scrap yard very honest pay on scrap...
Went in one day right before they closed, priced a part for $25. Went back next day after work when I had more time and took it off and went to pay for it and the owner said it would be $40 I told him to keep it and that he should stick with the prices he had quoted. He went ahead and let me have the part probably because there were other customers in there listening to us. Would not do business with them again.
I don't sugar coat anything but this is the best salvage yard in Tennessee as far as friendly people fair prices and quick and easy to unload get paid and get out if you went to Greens and Lenoir City you would only get paid $2 for your scrap when they pay 6 someone's making a killing and ripping people off it's worth the drive
I went here today planning to get one or two used tires. The man I spoke to was quick to search for my tire size and provided simple, easy-to-follow directions. The lady who changed the tires was friendly and ended up finding me exactly what I needed swiftly. It would've only been $50 to get two used ones (including changing out the tires with my old ones), but I ended up leaving with a set of four brand new tires for only $200 (cheapest new tires I could find in my area were around $80 a piece). She changed all four tires more quickly than just getting two done at any of the "professional" places I've been.
I'll definitely come here next time I need tires or parts.
I called looking for a headlight assembly to which I was told they "should" have it. I called a few minutes later to make sure that they had the part so I wouldn't drive so far on a "should". I was told to call back in 30 minutes so they could go check. 30 minutes later I called back and was told to call back in 5 minutes. 5 minutes passed so I called back and was assured that they had the assembly, I drive from Lenoir City to Sweetwater only to find that the turn signal bracket was broken so it could not be attached to the fender to stay in place. The turn signal was also broken so that it did not attach to the headlight. After being told that they indeed had the part and that it was in good condition I was disappointed to say the least when I found it in the same condition as the one I was trying to replace. I will not go back and will steer anyone I talk to that is in need of a junkyard away.
