So fast and reliable. We weren't even expecting them to be done with our car the same day because we didn't drop it off until after 1pm and they somehow managed to have it ready before they closed at 4. Such a relief to know if something happens with our vehicle,we will be taken care of and back on the road fast.

Needed a tow from Huntsville to Fayetteville on a weekend night. Great service! Was there in less than 40 minutes.

My wife and I were stranded in Petersburg, TN on 1 NOV 24. I had no idea where I was at. The locals gave the names of some tow truck companiea to call. I called Cline and the woman that answered had major attitude issues and refused services. I called Stovall's and waited over two hours they never showed up. I finally called Carter's and they showed up within 30 minutes! I wish I had called them first!!! Please call Carter's first if you ever need tow services.

These guys are awesome, hands down. I bought a new work truck (pre owned, new to me) a couple months back and started noticing some noises from the rear end. My cousin and I looked it over and I knew it was bad and I was a little in over my head so I took it down to Carter Automotive. I ended up needing to replace the entire rear end so I opted to have these guys do it. They got me taken care of in a timely manner. A few weeks passed and I noticed a smell and saw some fluid leaking from the new rear end. It ended up being a manufacturer flaw that caused more issues. These guys came and picked me and my truck up on their tow truck and gave me a ride back. They kept it over night and had it fixed and returned to me the next morning. These guys are honest and stand behind their work and warranties. Hopefully I don’t have any other issues out of my truck any time soon, but if I do, I’ll definitely be taking it back to Carter Automotive! Thanks a ton guys! Y’all are awesome!

I had a new engine put in my truck. It took them 4 ¹/2 months to put it in. They wouldn't keep me updated on my truck, they screw up computer for push start and had to send it to ford to fix that problem. They screwed up my ac, had oil leaking on my exhaust, truck was smoking like a coil train, and the check engine light was on when I final did get my truck back. I kept taking it back to them and they said it was where it had been sitting for a while. So I took it to my mechanic to look at it and he put everything that was messed up on it down for me and took it back up there to them and they flat out told me they wasn't going to fix it. When all this was working fine until the engine blew up on me. I had to get my mechanic to fix their screw up which costed me another $4k and still added to it because I still haven't got all the bugs out from them. What should've been a $8000 job. They charged in the end $10k plus what I am having to pay to fix their mistakes. If I was you I wouldn't use them to put an engine in your vehicle if you want it done right or want it done in a timely matter, or someone that's not going to jump up their prices that you to pay or you can't get your vehicle back so they can sell them to make even more money off of them. Best thing to do, just don't do business with them.

Was passing through town traveling to west Tennessee when my car hauler trailer had a blowout. Down to my last spare, I did not want to risk another blowout. So I unloaded my 4x4 and decided to drive it to my destination. Being that all the tires were aired down and not road ready, I pulled in to Carters to see about getting the tires aired up. Jonathan stopped what he was doing and came outside in the heat and helped me get my rig road ready, no questions asked. It was such a relief to be able to stop and get such excellent customer service, especially when traveling with my family. Thank you for everything.

It was a blessing to come across this business , I needed my truck towed and they were very friendly, professional and did it in a timely manner. May God bless them always and I will continue to use their services and tell everyone about them.

I am so glad my friend told me about Carter's now I have a great place to take my car. They are honest and very nice people there. I thought I was going to be out a lot of money with my air conditioner and they found that I didn't, the reason I say they are honest they could have told me I needed a air compressor like I thought but they told me what was wrong and fixed it and saved me a lot of money. These people are awesome I was in a bind it was late no debit card on me no cash and didn't have a tire that fit the spare tire rim and I forgotten to get m to regular sized rim out of my bf' parents car who were just leaving Nashville and it was 10min til closing the owner put his personal brand new full size spare trailer tire on my car until the next day when I could come back with my purse and rim and buy a tire truly awesome people this is a great family y'all should really check them out ....bet you won't do business anywhere else

This is a team of wonderful mechanics who deliver amazing service and treat people right! I’m so impressed with the pride they take in their work and how they treat their customers. I first came across Carter Automotive over the Summer when I needed help changing out the tire on my truck. I have a bad back and stopped by their shop to ask for help with my damaged tire. I had no appointment, and they were busy. However, Jonathan and his team made time for me. He and his team repaired my flat and changed out the new tire and sent me on my way. I asked how much do I owe you? “Thank you for your service,” he said. I was touched in a way that’s hard to explain but that’s why I’ll always come back to these folks. I had my 87 Bronco there last week and it would not start due to electrical problems. Jonathan and John put a brand-new starter and alternator on it. Even though they were able to get it started, they were not satisfied. The very next day they towed my Bronco to one of the best car electrical experts in town—and did not charge me for it. They only billed me for the alternator and new starter. Bottom line—I can’t say enough good things about these folks. They are the real deal and if you are looking for amazing mechanics—people with integrity, who stand by their word and service—then Carter Automotive is the place to come. This is the company you need to call. We had the starter go out on our 38’ motorhome while on our trip. We called carter automotive and they were there to help us quickly. They went above and beyond to locate the parts and replace our starter. This was all done while sitting in a gas station parking lot. On a side note Jonathan’s shoes looked so comfortable I went out the next morning and purchased a pair.

Fantastic customer service. Broke down and needed a starter for our rv. Carter Automative came out right away, removed the old starter and worked tirelessly to find a replacement to get us back moving. Went above and beyond and was very reasonable. I never expected to break down in Fayetteville but Carter Automotive made the experience as best as it could be. I can’t say enough about these guys. Stop reading reviews this place is what you need.

Affordable 24/7 towing! My family was in a situation where ALL of our cars had broken down, and they had just finished fixing one of them. I lived 3-4 miles away, but no way to get to the shop except walk! They didn't hesitate and offered to pick me up since I lived close by, but a little too far to walk. Very honest, friendly, and affordable car repair and towing. I would recommend them to anyone.

Two other mechanics prior to Carter Automotive and Wrecker attempted to fix my air conditioning. I don’t have money to keep trying to fix something. Carter Automotive listened to my family’s needs. I explained Scarlet (my daughter with Autism) likes to sit in the car with me while others shop. Jonathan interacted with her when we dropped the car off and now the air conditioning is cold as ice. It was actually a fan that needed to be replaced. Knowledgeable, efficient and great prices. I decided to get the car detailed while it was there and it smelled great and looked fabulous. I will trust this family with my car for all our automotive needs. The nicest customer service, too. A beautiful family with the customer in mind!

Carter runs an excellent honest and fair family business. I broke down 2 hours outside of town and not only did he give me a fair price on the tow he also made a quick on the spot diagnosis of what my car issue might be. Putting my mind at ease in the process because I guessed it was something way worse. He even offered to drop me off at my job interview the next day and pointed out the best local places to eat. This kind of service is unheard of. He took southern hospitality to a new level, my mind was blown ?. I plan on using him for all my auto issues while I’m in town because trustworthy mechanics are hard to find. He’s currently fixing my truck now. He got the part so quick, he’s extremely considerate. I will recommend him to everybody.

Brought my truck in to get new tires, and they had them ordered and arrived the next day! He let me know as soon as they came in and had them on and ready to go before I could finish my work out! Excellent service and great guys to work with

We are from out of state here for the weekend. We had a flat tire , we put on the spare and headed to town to get repaired. Then the spare blew out on the highway. Called triple A would have ended up taking them at least 3 hours. We called one tow service and they wouldn't help. Then we called Carter and they were Awsome! We asked if they could come air up our tire to get us to town . He listened to our story and then asked what size tire we have. He actually had a used tire that would fit. He came out got our tire took it back and put the used on on and brought it back. What great service! Super friendly guy! Very reasonably priced. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! Would highly recommend them! He saved our day! Thanks again!

I am out of state and bought a truck in Fayetteville that had not run for 14 years. I had John pick it up and take it to his shop. After a full tune up and oil change he got it running. He replaced all the whole brake system, changed the seal in the rear axel case, and all new tires. He was always available to take my calls, and did not pressure me to do work that wasn't essential. We even had some issues in the beginning meeting up with the seller and John was very flexible with us. I haven't even met the man but I will be sure to go and shake his hand next time I visit my brother in Tennessee to pick up my truck. Truly grateful to have found someone I could trust, and feel confident I got great service for a fair price. Strongly recommend!!

Came to the rescue when no other company would help. I was stuck in the mud for a week before I found them, they responded quickly and had the car out within minutes. Definitely doing all car repairs with them for now on.
