Great resource for NW GA and the Chattanooga area. Ponds and creeks to fish, trails to bike, jog or walk (my speed). Ball fields, events, and free to access most of it.
Went by the Freddy's tent they set up for the Apple fest it was so great the workers we're awesome free samples of their apple custard couldn't resist and had to buy some I suggest everyone go and hit their tent
This was a great space for the event I attended. The restrooms could use some updates but I did see the maintenance staff working to repair several items. Building is older but they seem to be trying their best to keep up. Plenty of parking.
Just came back from a curriculum fair at the Camp Jordan Arena. The facility is large and open, with sufficient space for a surprising number of booths. It was during the heat of summer, where outside temperatures were in the 90s, but the AC kept the place sufficiently cool.
Booth preliminary setup and after-event teardown was quick and efficient. Though crews were moving quickly, there weren't any accidents with the vendors moving their wares in and out.
There was sufficient power for the event, and plenty of parking for both vendors and customers.
Not a bad venue. We were there for the CSTHEA expo as vendors. Restrooms were a bit rundown but functional. The space was well light and easy to set up and tear down.
Me and my friend went to the Repticon that they held. It was very cool. Lots of snakes though?. Honestly good prices for the animals. There were some gifts and other animals that weren't reptiles.
We went to a Holiday Market here. It was a bummer that we had to pay $5 for kids to get in also. And we only had about an hour left to shop 130 vendors. I felt that we didn't get our money's worth, but that was my fault for not paying attention to the time. There were A LOT of vendors there that had some great products. Many of them were out of our budget, but I completely understand that people need to make a living.
My friend and I always walk here. The walking track is great. They hold nice events. Right now they are preparing for the Camp Jordan Festival this weekend and the Apple Festival next weekend. There is fishing, soccer, baseball, and disc golf! There is tons of food nearby after working up an appetite.
Love the master Gardner’s show. Great vendors and plants and tons or information about bees, butterflies, gardening and much more. It’s a beautiful area to have it at.
This is a very nice and big Arena. The sorts fields are spaced apart well and all the fields are very clean and kept up. We went here for the Hot Air Balloon Event.
It was very easy to find. We liked how the event had junior cassettes from different military branches helping out.
There were plenty of food vendors and other vendors selling things from "kid painted" see shells, candles, face painting, jewelry and more.
It was interesting to watch the balloons being set up. Its amazing how big they are.
Repticon was awsome. Got some new and exciting critters. Marble geckos, red eyed tree frogs,glass tree frogs, hour glass tree frogs, and leopaed geckos.
This is a well maintained venue. The Camp Jordan Arena hosts events such as Indoor Soccer(which is where my daughter plays), the Circus and Gun Show. They fully transform the Arena floor to suit the different needs of each event. With plenty of seating, parking and toilets it can serve hundreds of attendees.
Pretty cool spot unsure to why it’s not more widely available and or used for events. Could be some amazing shows and experiences here but never see anything advertised. My daughters school did their promotion ceremony there.
I75 North - stay in the right lane and exit; I75 South, stay in the very left lane - look for Chic Filet- it's the road in front of it. You will pass Bass Pro Shops on the left, keep going straight. Obey the speed limit signs, as there may be an East Ridge cop waiting for you. Across I75 there are more eating options.
Love to walk my dog here, people are friendly, soccer fields and baseball fields are nice and clean. There are hidden views you can hunt for and enjoy in. Good luck finding them.
