I dropped my car off at 9:00 on a Monday morning and received a call from Clint less than 2 hours of drop off. He told me the issue, and total cost of repairs, and that parts ordered would be in the following day. I received a call at 9:30 the following day stating my vehicle was ready. I would HIGHLY recommend Prater's to anyone in need of repairs, oil changes, etc. Communication was excellent and Bart and his staff were very thorough and knowledgeable.

Best place to go for true friendly and personable service. Bart will always do you right. He has worked on all of our vehicles since he opened his shop.

This business is the best! I'm 65+ and its hard to get honest, reliable service these days. Clint is wonderful at customer service and now my 2008 Nissan runs like it did when it was new. Highly recommend!

Well I went to them to have my brakes fixed, and had to make 2 trips back to get them to finally fix the breaks properly, now I’m experiencing some sort of transmission issue in the same week I just got my vehicle back from them, at the moment I’m still unsure of what the issue is now but I have a feeling it has to do with bad mechanic work, which is why I had to take it back as many times as i did already. They left the clasps on my air filter off and so it was just moving/bouncing around while I was driving not even properly attached. They left plenty of black grease stains in my vehicle as well. I am now taking my vehicle to another mechanic to fix whatever is broke now, but considering the bad service that was done before and that my vehicle hasn’t been the same since i brought it to praters i would assume this is the work of a bad or careless mechanic. The new mechanic im bringing mine to now is also working on fixing 3 other peoples vehicles who just got out of praters shop, whatever the situation is with them it doesn’t seem like they are fixing much. Never taking my vehicle to them again.

Fantastic job on brake job. Never was able to resolve water pump issue after replacement.We made a total of 4 trips back and the owner had more things to try but fear of doing further damage we decided to just trade the vehicle. The fan motor never cut off and was getting hot. We just didn't have the time to keep going back and risking breaking down due to overheating.Just didn't work out for us. Clint is a very kind and helpful person. I did appreciate him and being so helpful.

Prayers automotive will be the only shop to touch any of my vehicles. I recommend them to everyone.From oil changes to complete fuel system repairs they are my first choice. They stand behind their work like no other!!

I have trusted the guys at Praters automotive with all my vehicles coming from a father with a background in restoring old cars he met Bart Prater and told me he knew what he was doing and was honest and I could trust him with my cars. We have had a lot of work done because we don’t like to buy a new car every time we have a problem. Yesterday I had to have have some tires put on I was fully prepared to pay for an alignment as my car was pulling to the right and had a great deal of vibration in the steering. They told me after putting it on the machine it didn’t need an alignment the problem was just the tires. Drives like a brand new one again! Point being I could have been charged for an alignment and never have know because the problem was fixed! Honest knowledge people!

Great place and great people. They always get me worked in when needed and are very fair on price and do great work. I had a lifter go down on my truck and they did all the work with my warranty company. I didn’t have to do a thing.

I planned a long car trip. The temperature gauge started behaving oddly and the check engine light came on once. I checked the code. The code was for the thermostat. I brought the car in and requested a replacement thermostat and seal to hopefully avoid problems while driving 450mi. to another state. Everything seemed fine, until I got back. I saw "steam" rising from the hood and smelled coolant. It was dripping coolant from the thermostat housing, along the valve cover, and on to the exhaust manifold. Not trusting Prater's, I took it to another shop in Medina and was quoted abt. $1100 to repair the "broken" intake manifold. As I was now angry, I took the time to look at it myself. I tightened the two water outlet bolts and the leak stopped. It's been almost 8 months with no leaks.

First time taking it here and they lied about every single thing they fixed. They said after an alignment that my steering wasn’t pulling, which it was. They said after they replaced some front end components that the shaking I was experiencing was gone, but it wasn’t. I was basically robbed of $700. Do not recommend

I've taken my vehicle to this place for jobs as small as an oil change to fuel pump replacement to ECM replacement, coil packs, sensors and everything in between. They're always honest, professional, and fair. Definitely the best shop I've been to and the only place I trust to take my vehicle. They always keep me in the loop and make any repairs I need done the correct way. Definitely deserve a 5 star rating.

Bart and his staff are a great group of honest mechanics. They will shoot you straight and they will diagnose and fix the problem with out overselling the repair to try and make an extra buck off you. I highly recommend them for all your car repair needs including mounting and balancing tires.

I had something in my tire made it to Praters. They instantly looked at it they plugged my tire it took no time it was ready. They do excellent service. I will go there next time I have problems!!! Knowing me it won't be long

We have a small business and our business depends on every vehicle we own to run daily! I’ve been having issues with my car recently and I literally had to be on the road all day today for work. They diagnosed my problem and had me fixed within a couple hours and I’m back on the road to meet another client! Yay!

I only gave one star because I need to write this review. Mr. Prater charged me 400.00 dollars to change a coil wire and put in 8 plugs. I have had nothing but trouble since that tune up, I've had 2 more coils go out and while mechanic was changing them he discovered the plugs were bad. Since then I've changed 2 more coils myself and yes the plugs were also old rusted and burnt out. Where did my 400.00 go? 8 x 8.00 on plugs and 59.00 on coil pack. So 125.00 on parts and 275.00 on labor. I have learned a lesson, and remember what my Dad told me yrs ago and ask for all the old parts. It's sad that you can't trust all your local small business owners. We all work hard for a living and no one likes being taken advantage of when they are in need of honest help.

Today I was stopping by for an Oil change & little maintenance work, they came across a hose leaking, & they informed me about it & bart helped me out with a good price & was able to fix it right then on the spot!!
