Still after a year of my Incident. Them lieing to my insurance and I. I literally have no skin in the game. I got my money back from insurance and it didnt put me in a bind besides them keeping my wreaked car for a extra day i had a rental anyways. But the simple fact that they lied to both of us and tried to turn it back on us... horrible people. I despise people like them. I will Forever hate this business just for lieing.
These people run this part of our county and charge outrageous,gouging prices. They towed my sons wrecked car exactly 3.4 miles from the wreck site to their garage and charged $425 for a simple,uncomplicated tow! We were never informed there was a difference in a tow verses the made up term," a wrecked tow." Which I was rudely informed was a flat fee different from other tows. When I ask to see proof of a reciet,policy,or invoice I was told they would not give me such proof with out paying the whole bill up front,I knew we'd been scammed. They wrote us a post it note reciet!! Very professional. The man was rude,combative,unhelpful,and generally condescending. I called them this morning to price the exact tow,was never informed of this "wrecked fee", and told it would be $84 dollars charged twice from said location. The man proceeded to call me a liar,though several people heard him on speaker phone,and told they'd never say that. Now they offer my son a "deal". We can pay $200 and sign the title over for the rest. We are actually paying to be ripped off! Never recommend. Call Bradleys or anyone else yall. These people are not only rude,they are thieves. My son drove his car onto the flat bed. No ditch to be pulled out of,nothing. Now they will come back with their ridiculous claims of serving a community,helpful services,and rude employees seem to be the customer's fault. If you value your property and loved ones stay clear of the swindling.
Coming from 7 states away I had a horrible in the ditch car accident on tail of the dragon on at 12 in the morning, these guys answered and arrived to me in the middle of the of the dragon within 45 minutes. that morning I went to their office and EVERYONE, there was friendly. as this was my first road accident they explained and showed me the steps I should do after an accident, awesome team and 24 hour service
I had to knock a star off because the only way to contact them for any service is by their number on which I personally had problems reaching to them myself, MAKE SURE your phone has a properly displayed ID number in your phone settings. BUT they should at least have an email or another IN office hour number on their website which also only shows you their emergency number.
Their storage fee as of 2025 is $40 per day which is reasonable.
In a time of pure anxiety in a single vehicle accident, where my V8 truck had to be pulled from a pond, Emergency services got Butler's Wrecker to the scene immediately.
Corey showed up, fresh from jumping out of bed and bright an insightful calmness to the scene once he arrived. Emergency services had already helped me to dry ground but my poor truck was front in... stuck!
After assessment of the situation, he got my truck pulled out, gave us multiple suggestions on the next steps and let my fiance and I follow him to their location to retrieve carseats, customer packages, etc.
Once I realized with insurance that we would need to have them move it to a collision center, both Corey and Jerry were very helpful both on letting me return to gather all the other objects in the truck in case it becomes totaled out, and to set up the transfer.
They were prompt, courteous, calm for the type of situation I just dealt with, and very informative.
Definitely a great experience during a time of crisis!
My wife was backing up and went into a ditch on the roadside. We called Butlers and they sent James out. Very professional and had us out in a jiffy, and reasonable priced. We recommend them highly!
Very Rude owner. Simply trying to get answers to questions about the charges and he’s a smart aleck. Would never use them for anything strictly for the rudeness he offers.
Ran off the road totaling my truck. I wasn’t cognizant of everything going on. Went to ER brain CT - nothing abnormal realizing that CT scans show very little about soft tissue damage or brain bleed. Two days went to Butlers to retrieve belongings out of truck. Wrecker operator that towed my truck came out and helped me get access to damaged vehicle. His concern was personal centered on my well-being.
What a great group of people at Butlers! Hope not to have to use them again like this time, but if I need wrecker assistance, I will call Butlers!!
My son's truck stopped running off of 321 and James left the football game he was at and came towed it in for us. He done a great job and if I need a tow again I have the number saved in my phone. Thanks again James.
Just very rude. Charge me $700 for 9 days. My car being impounded cost me $700 to get it back out. Then they act like they didn't want to give it to me. Then once we get it, they drove it out to the lot. Drivinge home and transmission fluid leaked all out of it because they broke a transmission line as they loaded it up on the record. And didn't tell nobody. Torch me $30 for taxes. Need to be reported to the Tennessee highway patrol. Because there's guidelines I have to go by when I tote for the city. Just very.
Disappointed all around that they couldn't tell somebody they broke a transmission Li wouldn't recommend?

James was amazing! We needed tow for our very low miata and he made it work without scraping the front lip. He really knew what he was doing and I could tell he had so much experience which made me feel very comfortable. He had a great personality and knew how to make a bad situation good. He was wonderful!
Can’t say enough good things about this place! The sweet lady I talked to on the phone was very nice and explained everything very well including every charge they have. Even encouraged me to shop around.
I chose to go with Butler and was not disappointed. James Crooks came out to rescue my car and did a great job. He has to be one of the nicest person I’ve ever done business with. Took care loading my car. Took care unloading it. You could tell James took pride in himself and his work. James also took time to explain every charge and it added all up to the same charges that I was given up front no surprises.

I had my car towed to thier lot after it was totaled in a wreck. I went yesterday after work, but got there 15 minutes before they closed and the driver was on a call. I notified the company I was there and spoke with Jeran. He was off work, and still took the time to come to the lot and allow me to get my stuff out of my vehicle before insurance took control of the vehicle. I have always used Butler's for my towing needs. I will always recommend them to anyone. Keep up the awesome work and thank you all for what you do.
Extremely expensive! Crooks! This was two days after Christmas, as well. The Blount County Sheriff's office uses them. Our car slid off the road on a snowy day into an 8 foot ditch with a small crick. All wrecker companies were busy, because of the ice. We came back several hours later to meet our wrecker and the car was gone. The sheriff's department had had it towed "due to it being in the creek." Slid off the road at 4:00 pm, it was towed at 6:30 pm, then the next day at 1:00 pm we were paying Butler $843.00!!! I couldn't even tell what all the charges were, the handwriting of the person was horrible, although part of it was for them to tow it to my mechanic since if I got someone else to get it the next day, I would have had to pay another night's fee. Awful business!
Had a tire blow out. Called Butlers & James the driver was there so quick. Even as he was expertly loading my truck he was making sure I was safe where I was on the side of the road. He was so efficient & great at his job. Even had good conversation on the way to the tire shop. Thank you James & Butler’s!!
Corey and Vivian are amazing people who made a stressful event much easier. The transmission went out in my car while on vacation and Vivian worked with my insurance company to arrange the tow. When Corey arrived, he was so quick and conscientious loading our car. Corey is so friendly and knowledgeable - he even met us after hours after I forgot my coffee cup in the truck. Even though it's no fun having to be towed on vacation, the great people at Butler's will make the experience easy and stress free. Thank you, Corey and Vivian!
This place is amazing and quick, the gentleman that helped us Cory was very professional and was able to tow our vehicle and answered all of our questions with rental and taxi options, as we are not from this area. Next morning we spoke to Vivian and was a great help to let us know what the status on the vehicle was, and to know it was already on the way to the dealership, they made a really bad situation much easier to deal with. Would highly recommend this company if your looking for good service.
I was stuck at BMH with a dead battery. Hospital security tried to jump it off for me but had no luck. Called Butler’s and Corey had my car started in no time at all! He was very friendly, professional and efficient! I will definitely call Butler’s again! The price was totally reasonable too. Great service!

I meant to do this review awhile ago Oct 4. On Oct 1 my car was totaled and Butlers towing Service came and towed my car. Vivian was so helpful and pleasant to help me. She helped me with all the information I needed to figure out what was going on with my vehicle and what I needed to do next. She also was very pleasant and helpful when I came to collect all my things from my car. It's been an emotional Rollercoaster with my car. My husband and I were recently visiting the area and broke down in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We were able to arrange towing with our insurance company and couldn't be happier with the service we received from Butler's. A very nice gentleman named Brandon helped us and we couldn't be more grateful for his kindness during our stressful time. We were those people who went to Cades Cove without enough gas. We were able to get to the ranger station where we called Butler's. Billy arrived with 5.5 gallons of gas in 45 minutes! He was professional and polite. We appreciate his quick arrival and his help getting our car fueled up so we could continue enjoying our vacation!
