Worth the drive. I've gotten parts from these guys several times, and if they've got what I'm after they are always 1) significantly cheaper than anyone else in the area, and 2) friendlier and more helpful. Count me as a loyal customer.
These guys are great!! I love it bc they take the labor outta having to do the dirty work for your parts. Their costs are really great also a windshield for 25$ yes please!! Thanks again guys I'm so thankful for your service you prove us over the years ;) your appreciated that's for sure!!
My first stop salvage shop. If Oaks don't have it, I'll drive to Dune or order it online. Definitely will not go to Bernies in SF for a part that they found in a mud puddle. Been getting parts from here for more than 45 years and have never been disappointed. Very fair, friendly and family oriented.
Took a friend there for some parts for his car. He needed a headlight, and was told that he just needed the bulb. They had one so he bought it. We had to go to a different salvage yard to get another part, and there, on the counter, was his headlight. A seal beam. So, the 15.00 bulb was useless. And no returns.
Went to pick up a part they said they had, but it was the wrong part. They had it labeled wrong and wasted my time and my trip. *Edit* Forgot to mention the older guy who helped me was super rude, because I stated that they have the wrong information on that part.* Used to use them for any of my used parts, now I probably won't return or ever recommend them.
Asked for help finding a part. And the 2 old guys just looked at me and shook his head no. Neither said one word to me. They didn't even come over to look at the part. I won't be going back
Bought a window for a rare car from them over the phone to be shipped several states away. Very friendly and willing to work with you. Prices were reasonable.
