The tow truck driver was great! He helped change my flat tire and showed up 30 minutes quicker than the time I was quoted. I wasn’t sure if we would be able to get everything done the same day but we were! Thank you and God bless
Lied and said the price would be 75 before taxes and then charged me 95 after the fact I never made an issue of it at that moment, my other vehicle broke down and I called them and they want to charge basically 95$ before taxes which in there world will surely come out to 120. The staff their seem very freindly but that doesn't change the fact that this is a scaming business.
Look, I get it — towing cars is how you make your money. That’s the business. People park where they shouldn’t, and you haul them off. Fine. No one likes it, but it’s your job, and I don’t fault you for doing it. What I do fault you for is being deceptive about what’s actually required to pick up a vehicle.
When my car was towed from an apartment complex, we called to arrange pickup and were told we needed to bring proof of registration, proof of insurance, and a driver’s license. Sounds reasonable until you realize that’s not what South Dakota law requires — and it’s flat-out misleading.
Under South Dakota Codified Law 32-30-18.1, the only legal requirement to release a vehicle is that the owner provides proof of ownership and identification and pays the towing and storage fees. That’s it. There is no state law requiring a person to show insurance to a private tow company, and registration papers are legally required to be kept in the car itself, which you’re holding behind a locked fence. Requiring documents that are inside the car before someone can retrieve the car is not only unreasonable — it’s absurd.
Demanding proof of insurance is especially ridiculous. You are not the DMV or law enforcement. Insurance verification is the job of police officers and the state — not a private towing business. Trying to act like it’s a legal requirement to get the car back is dishonest and wastes people’s time.
If you had simply said, “We need ID and something showing you’re the owner,” that would have been fine. Instead, you made it sound like we’d be turned away without insurance documents and a registration that you were literally keeping locked in the impound lot.
So, yeah — three stars. Because I understand you’re running a business, and towing is how you earn your money. But don’t lie to people about what the law requires. Do your job, make your money, but don’t pretend you’re law enforcement while you do it.
A guy blew a tire in the middle of an 8 hour trip these guys were very nice to help him out letting him use their space to fix it and reavis the manager even helped out and lent some tools. Highly recommend
Went through AAA and this was who responded to the call. So impressed with the driver that showed up. Wish I would have gotten his name. AAA said it would be an hour and half. He called me within minutes of getting off the phone with AAA and came right away from from the other side of town. He was friendly and helpful. Thanks for making my bad situation better by showing up quickly after waiting on the phone with AAA for an hour. Highly recommend!!!
Jake was wonderful, professional, courteous and helped point out a few other things for me to make sure to address with the mechanic’s shop for safety. He was very prompt and communicative and I appreciate his help fixing my tire. Great service overall!
This was my first towing experience in Sioux Falls, via AAA. I was nervous about it - but Jake with Stockton was awesome. He communicated his ETA, answered all my questions, and was both friendly and professional. After dropping my car off at the shop, he even gave me a ride to work just down the block, which was super nice of him. Needing a tow when you’re on a schedule is stressful, but thanks to Jake, the whole experience turned out to be much easier than I expected. Very pleased overall!

As we returned home from vacation, our transmission went out, 20 minutes from our home in Sioux Falls. I had/called AAA who sent Stockton to our rescue. Can't say enough about the professionalism of the tow driver, who was easy to talk to and knew exactly what he was doing! Highly recommend if you ever need a tow!
