Absolutely horrible service. Would rate 0 stars if I could. Lost our key to our car and lied to us on multiple occasions. Also extremely over priced. Will never use lightning towing ever again. Will direct everyone else anywhere else.
I recommend them they came got my 93 Chevy 1500 brought it to IAA for auction and the tow guy was really nice to talk to I recommend it if you ever need to send a vehicle to auction
This was a contractor of an original source of RV roadside assistance. This company contacted the people that showed up. I wasn't over satisfied with the RV app but the people that showed up were very quick and polite.
Came quickly and winched my truck out, in -45 degrees and white out blizzard. Only one that would help. If I ever need another tow, I will be calling lighting tow! Can't recommend them enough. So grateful for the wonderful ppl there.
They where contracted to pick up my totaled vehicle by my insurance company and their dispatcher told me that they would be at location at 8am for pickup and didn't call me until after 8am to confirm pickup. Took them almost 2.5 hours to get on location and it is only about a 1.5 hour drive.
Tow operator was rude and the person that called was rude also. I would never use this outfit even if they where the only tow available.
They dropped my vehicle off at the wrong address and didnt even try to confirm with me in any way. I called for them to move it to my actual address and they wanted an extra $140 fee just to move it down the street, MIND YOU I already paid $400. They claim gps took them to that spot but the house they took it to clearly says “127”, my house is 122. And yet they did not try to call to confirm they just left.
I was in a rollover car accident Friday night. Lincoln County sheriff called this company to tow my totalled car to their lot because I could not afford a tow to Vermillion where I live. I was assured and promised by the police I could get my things out of my car when I asked if I could get things out that night because I was in shock. When I called today, Monday morning, the person was rude and told me I couldn't get anything out of my car without paying a $630 bill unless it was food, clothes, or medicine, and it had to be by 5pm today. I had important documents in my car that are gone now. I already lost my entire vehicle and almost died. Police should use a different towing company. I would never recommend these people to anyone, even emergencies. They are awful and heartless. All they care about is money.
Lighting towing towe truck drivers are thieves! They towed my car after UT had been totaled a d when I went to get my stuff out of it they had stolen several things out of it. I would NEVER refurw them to anyone! When we called to complain the receptionist just laughed at us.
I called another towing company who said they would do it for less money...... but I'd be on the side of the interstate for 45 mins. My car was not drivable and was in bad shape. I called lightning towing and he was there in 15 mins. He was very understanding. I haven't been in sioux falls long and couldn't explain where I was at. He deff found me. Cheaper company's aren't always better. Great customer service is deff work the extra dollar.
I don’t think this business cares about others except money. Last time my truck broke down on the road in the middle of the night. I’ve never been experience with tow truck before. My house was closer and I thought it’s a good idea to bring my truck over to my house, but it’s not. They charged me 129 bucks to get it over there. It seems that they’re trying to take advantage of me because they think I’m clueless. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to this business. They don’t care about our problems and help, they only focus on money and trying take an advantage on others.
I strongly suggest using someone else for towing. They'll give a specific date and a rough time on when your vehicle will be delivered and then they won't show up! They're not professional, they don't have the method to their madness down and they'll leave you taking the day off work waiting for a vehicle that doesn't show up! I literally had to use my GMC vehicle tracking app to locate my vehicle! And then they claim it will be delivered sometime today! Like seriously?! Give me a specific time so I can be home to sign for my vehicle! Not a guess on "oh it might be delivered this morning, or maybe this afternoon"! I'm so very disgusted and furious with this company! TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE PEOPLE!
Contacted them after I needed a car towed to the repair shop today (Saturday) an hour and fifteen minutes before the shop closed. I was informed it would only take 30-45 minutes before someone would show up. After an hour, I had to call back and they said they had to check where their guy was. I got a call back 5 minutes later by the driver saying it would be another 15 minutes. Their shop is literally 4 minutes away from where I needed them. Needless to say, I was already going to be late, so I had Jim & Ron's get my car instead.
Cole was super friendly and extremely helpful. Was a very cold windy night on I90 and Cole arrived quickly, troubleshot my vehicles issue advised me that it would be in my best interest to be towed to the nearest repair shop and have my tires and front end looked at. 10/10.

This company is amazing. They were fast and very polite. It was something that had to be done and they were right on top of it. $69 for a battery charge. Not bad when we were quoted $169. From another business. Highly recommended.

Locked my keys inside my car this morning, the AAA person said it would take an hour. This awesome guy got there in a lil under half that time, was nice and personable, and had my car open in no time. A+ service, would recommend if you like to forget your keys constantly like I do.
The woman who works the counter is absolutely terrible! I was in an accident and I came to collect my property from my car. I went up to the fence (just to look and make sure it’s my car, I didn’t enter) she came flying out (after I had already spoken to her, and was waiting for my insurance to call) and started screaming at me! After all said and done and after my insurance called and took care of the towing fee. I was given 3 minutes to remove what I could. Call any other towing company. Rude and ridiculous that she would talk to someone like that who’s already had an awful day.
My roadside assistance hired them for me, and the driver Chris was so friendly when I called in to confirm and was very friendly in person. I had to change my location and he took care of it with my roadside company. Will use again if need be for sure.
Amazing service! Not only did Ryan help my husband try to fix the issue our car was having. But went above and beyond by showing my little guy everything he was doing and how it was working. Once Ryan left my son says "mom I want him to come every time our car breaks." Thank you for amazing service!
We had a car with two flat tires our road assistance company sent Lightening Towing due to a low bumper and steep drive way it was a challenge to load on the truck. The guy was so professional, pleasant, careful and really thought through the situation. I was very impressed! I will definitely call them in the future if I happen to need towing service.

Two different people answered the phone at different times and gave different information. The second "receptionist" was a guy and he was super unfriendly and unhelpful. My car was broke down... that's the worst time to be rude to someone. No compassion, no customer service? No business from me.

I got in a car accident and had my vehicle towed by Lightning. I had $80 sitting in my console that I did not grab at the time of the accident, as I had other things on my mind. I went back to my car the next day, and my cash had been stolen. Definitely not what I wanted to happen after having my vehicle destroyed. Thanks, Lightning.
I used my road side assistance with Verizon and they sent me lightning towing. I had to have my Camarillo towed today. The gentleman that was on call was absolutely amazing. He was very polite and more helpful then I would have ever expected. So impressed, just wanted to share.
Rude staff, will gladly tow your car 24 hours a day but to pick up your vehicle they are only open Monday through Friday 8-5 ( same times most people work) so if you need to pick up your car you have to take time off to get it or it sits for $25 a day. Which is very inconvenient for working people, guess this is how they gouge people out of Money. They are not lient at all about waiting a few minutes after 5 for someone to get there.
My car automatically locked itself this morning while the car was running and when lightning towing showed up they were extremely fast about getting my doors unlocked. The guy who unlocked my door was extremely nice and polite which i appreciated so much!! Thank you for coming to the rescue lightning towing!
Lost a wheel on my RV. They showed up quickly and were very professional. They did a great job on a very tough tow job. Since I was out of town , they even came and helped me out the next day when I needed some assistance.
I was on a road trip from California to Wisconsin when my radiator failed. I got Lightning to tow me to my hotel and the next morning they got me to a mechanic that they recommended. The drivers (Mike and Ty) were both very helpful and put us at ease. Because of their recommendations, we were able to get our car fixed and back on the road to our destination. Thanks guys!
