You must bring your own tools, however they provide a wheelbarrow for your use.The lady at the front desk was a Sweetheart,so kind, I needed the restroom and she pointed right to it whilst my dear Brother went into the yard to get a brake bracket I needed for my Vann(that's his name, LoL) that holds the caliper into place that my ex totally screwed up,so my Dear Brother needed to use his sledgehammer to get the tire off and the lady (she was SO nice and kind, I wish I knew her name) said IDC what you do as long as you don't get hurt,so he got the part and it was $11.00 dollars a GREAT PRICE, considering it cost $75.00 at O'Reilly's part store! And to sum up my review,it fixed the dragging of my brake and if you have a Great Brother like I do, that knows what he's doing,well! All will and was wonderfully fixed and the price was RIGHT! Wonderful place and we've used it before and of course will AGAIN AND AGAIN! Oh Happy Day !
They hAd alot of trucks and i would have bought the only tranny i found that fit my truck but i only took 350$ with me, figured it would be plenty after all it is a you pull the part. So anyway they proceeded to try and get me for 367, and coming from Columbia, i couldnt do it they dont alow cash returns only yard credit or exchange and with no other option on the yard, I didnt want to be sitting in Columbia with a 367$ ""Gift Card "" from a yard 50 miles away? Ppl were nice helpful n curtious but there prices àre almost 3 times that of there competitors. I dont recommend and will not be returning to Sunshine Auto Salvage.
Customer service sucks U can’t get any answers soon as u call they will put u on hold then they hangs up I waited 10 minutes to call back and she did the same thing twice
This is a hidden gem in South Carolina. They have an incredible collection of cars, and their staff is incredibly professional, courteous, and organized. Everything is spotless and neat. I absolutely love Sunshine Auto Savage more than I love going to the mall. It’s like one-stop shop for all your auto needs and wants.
This facility has things that are difficult to find locally. They have a lot of things you wouldn't expect them to have. Give them a call if you are looking for something that you cannot find.

Worst junkyard ever. Tried to upcharge for a domestic truck rear end as an import part. When questioned about the price gouge since their price guide has both domestic and import lists (import costing more). They rudley responded with a vague reasoning that the truck was on the import lot so import price. Then brushed me off, asked other employees and was told , they don't keep trucks on the domestic lot. So even though being a domestic truck, having domestic price listing for truck parts you have to pay the imported price. Fawking scam artists through and through. One manager tried justifying the uncharge by claiming their import lot is the "truck" lot and because of this all truck parts wether foreign or US cost the import price. Even though they have two separate price lists for F/D truck parts.
Customer service representatives were first class both over the phone and in person. I was recognized as a veteran with my entrance fee being waved. I was able to easily locate my part, obtain assistance and check out in less than 40 minutes. Thank you all for a great experience.
place is great, the only thing is the vehicles are on the ground, for some reason, today was an absolute grind trying to get a vehicle picked up. one of the family members came over and lifted 2 vehicles for me. stay safe out there, but have fun doing it. update 11/27/2024. this place is still a great place, well more organized than other u pull yards.
easy hassel free entry. knowledgeable ppl behind the counter to help us. In & out in under an hour. bring something to carry/transport your parts to the cashier from the yard. Affordable! I'll be back soon :)
If I could give a negative rating I definitely would. After a hour drive we get told that no one can enter the lot after 430.... if that's the case UPDATE YOUR TIME TO BE CLOSED AT 430 NOT 5 THAT ONLY COMMON SENSE!!!! Thanks for wasting people time!
Its okay. Did not find much of what i needed and i drove from columbia. Pullapart was no better. I needed body parts and most all the cars they had were hit in the same place. They did have a big selection just bad luck on my part.
Good place to find parts, prices are Great, $515 for a ls6 and t56 transmission together. I have no real complaints except the rows could use a update or small map, it's quite hard some rows
On their website they claim to be 80% off retail prices. I'm not sure who is doin their pricing, but when two headlights cost 90$, compared to a full 02 PT Cruiser hatch to include glass, actuator and either manual or electric lock is only 70$ is absurd.
Great place for unmolested vehicles, but their pricing needs a major update. Rated 3 stars just because of accessibility and convenience, if pricing was less of an anomaly, I would have rated 5.
Prices are fair, and the selection is top notch. They do offer to remove tires from rims which is very nice in a pinch. Most of the cars there are not up on stands so you will need to ask them to send a forklift but they are very prompt about helping you out. Front desk staff are also very nice and helpful which is rare for some of these yards.
LOTS of vehicles! Call ahead and see if they have your parts car/truck. I drove there twice from Georgetown (2.5 hours) and never disappointed. Prices are good. Wear heavy soled shoes or work boots! Rough walking, and you WILL be walking. Also bring with you all possible tools you may need. I like to go earlier in the day so I can wonder the place a bit more!
Lots of cars and trucks. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Numbered and in rows for easy finding. Pack a lunch because there is a lot of walking involved.
Great place to buy used parts. Prices are very good and staff is very helpful. My only complaint is they really need to update the row #'s. A good many of them are missing which makes it difficult to find your way around. And they could use a couple maps in the yard as well. Otherwise its a great place to buy used parts!
Took the whole day to find all the parts we needed for my Surburban a fender cover, spare release, gas cap and lug nut covers. Cost was only $45.00 I guess I should have looked for a good spare tire to replace the old spare. Next time shouldn't take as much time we know about where they are, just so many parts have been taken, you gotta be lucky to find all that you need. It was a good day because it wasn't as hot, just a couple sprinkles. Thank you Sunshine. "I'll Be Back"
Since I live over an hour's drive away, I had tried to get in touch with this company to ask about a particular vehicle being in stock. I can only say that the time to respond was poor, although I did eventually get a response, which happened to be negative. I'm guessing they don't have staff in on a Saturday to respond to customers, even thought they're supposedly open, because I was unable to reach them by phone, and an email request made on a Friday evening didn't get answered until Tuesday. So don't be in a hurry dealing with these folks...
Kinda pricey even when comparing to Pull a Part. They have a huge inventory but beware of the prices. 2 regular tail lights were $57 on Nov 2018. Nice place though.
They have a lot of cars but don't seem to rotate them out often, so they get picked pretty good. Their prices are higher than most u pull it yards and nearly every part has a core charge so the costs can add up quickly. Not very friendly staff either.
Very satisfied with the service here. They are very organized with how they sort out their vehicles. I had to get a few parts for my 87 Nissan and i had no trouble finding them. They even give you a list of the vehicles that you can interchange parts with. I will be going back!
