I can’t say enough good things about my experience at this AutoZone location in Mauldin! After being turned away from two O’Reilly Auto Parts stores (where I had previously purchased and had my battery installed), I was frustrated and unsure where to go.
From the moment I walked in, Store Manager John Brown made all the difference. He greeted me with a joke and genuine smile that immediately put me at ease. He was incredibly pleasant, patient, and kind throughout the entire process.
John listened to my situation, asked the right questions, and didn’t hesitate to grab his coat and head outside to inspect my battery himself. Within about 15 minutes, I had a new battery installed and was ready to get back on the road.
I was so impressed with the service that I ended up purchasing windshield wipers as well! It’s rare to find this level of customer care, and John exemplifies what great service should look like. 7:45 PM. I’m on my way home, my car battery died. I managed to get help jump starting it — and take it the nearest auto parts place I could (this auto zone). A gentlemen named Scott S. went above and beyond to make sure that I was able to secure a battery, he helped me install it and made sure that my car was working before the store closed.
He didn’t complain, he assured me that we were going to get me back on the road. He did an amazing job and did it so fast too.
Without Scott, I would be looking at hundreds of extra dollars and days worth of pain and agony. I will forever be grateful for this AutoZone and for Scott.

Stopped by Autozone in Mauldin SC to get windshield wipers for my Nissan Titan. They informed me and another lady that don't install them if it's raining. They had 4 people working in the store. I went to O'Reilly just up the road and the lady working there was very nice and took care of me and the other lady. I was so thankful. From now on I will not patronize auto zone.

I could get my car to start when I jumped it off with another car. So I assumed it was the alternator not recharging my battery. I still took my battery in to have it tested. They told me my battery was good and not the issue. I call a tow truck and get it towed to the shop and they tell me it's just the battery. Now with a tow, battery, and labor, I'm out $450 when I could have bought a battery and replaced it myself for half the price. I will NEVER use autozone again!

Outstanding customer service! These folks went above and beyond to help me. The service was polite, kind honest and knowledgeable. This creates respect and trust. Those boys over at the Simpsonville store could use to learn this integrity. Thank you to all 3 of the ladies who helped me.

I recently purchased a new battery for my car here a few weeks ago and have only been having problems with my car dying since then. I had two different professionals look at the car to try and identify the issue and both stated that the battery was the problem (yes, the brand new battery). I went in today to this same location with the dead battery and asked for a new one thinking it should be easily replaced under warranty. I was immediately told the battery couldn’t be replaced since it was reading 39% charged…. but it was only reading charged because I had just jumped my car off to get my car to AutoZone. The manager immediately came out with guns blazing talking about how they had to follow policy and could not replace the battery. She was extremely disrespectful and yelled for absolutely no reason. If you work in customer service you should learn how to respectfully talk to your customers, especially when they are being nothing but polite to you.
Needless to say, I left my battery to charge with them, but in the meantime called the AutoZone in Greenville to ask for their advice. They immediately told me they would replace the battery under warranty, no questions asked. The guy also stated this isn’t the first time he’s heard bad things about the Mauldin AutoZone.
If you need servicing at a local AutoZone I would highly recommended any of them EXCEPT this one. If you want to be berated and yelled at like a toddler then this is your place. I know in the future my wife and I will just drive the extra 10 minutes to a different location.Aug 22, 2025 -
I had a great experience at AutoZone thanks to J.R! I came in to buy a new cabin air filter and wasn’t totally sure how to change it myself. They not only helped me find the right one for my car, but also took the time to walk me through the installation. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient — made the whole process quick and stress-free. Excellent customer service! I really appreciated the help

the “manager” got loud with me about brake pads and completely got turned up snapping her hands and shouting loud enough for the store to hear. would not recommend coming here, no class, no help and most of all ridiculous rude

Amazing staff and very patience. The guy helping me last night was running into problem after problem with the computer systems. But still managed to work through it, I had to come back this morning and the store manager was so nice and helpful that I will only be coming to this auto parts store not any other one because of the customer service and patience they needed dealing with a computer system that wasn't working properly

I went into the store to grab some oil and a filter for my son's Mahindra roxor. He is a truck driver and lited time off. He had gone to several places and no one could help. The staff googled the vehicle and found what he needed. He was so thankful that someone took the time necessary to find what he needed. Highly recommend this store.

My boyfriend and I came up here to AutoParts today and we were stranded and going through a rough time and a kind gentleman named “J R” helped us with no problem and with a strong positive attitude. He grabbed his tool and help my boyfriend tighten all the bolts on his wheel. We really appreciate his help since he was the only one willing to help at this Autozone location and the other worker inside “ David “ was being rude to us and not lending us a tool and being lazy. but “JR “ helped fix our wheel and we really appreciated his kindness, thank you!

Omg my headlight went out and I stopped in at CLOSING time expecting for someone to tell me they couldn’t help me install my light but JR helped me with no attitude and a smile!!!! Ran in there when I was in a hurry just to get my headlight replaced and a young woman named Jordan was so helpful. She replaced both of my headlights and I was back on my way in 10 minutes. I will continue to go to the store. In an age where Customer Service is not always given, This store demonstrated a lot today.

I had a great experience getting a new battery! Jenny and JR were very helpful. They took the time to look for the battery that I needed that wasn’t in the right spot in the store. My battery was a bit corroded making it difficult to change, but JR was able to do it!

Went in to get my battery checked and they treated me as if my service was less important than other customers. Seemed no one wanted to provide service to me which only took, the lady I had to force to do her job, a minute. She was quickly back in the store since she also didn't want to replace my battery that needed replacing.

Joe went above and beyond to clean my battery terminals and replace a bolt that was causing my terminals to disconnect. His determination and kindness alone made me want to only shop at this location. This will be my go to auto part store from on now. Thanks Super Joe!

This store is, without a doubt, the most helpful parts store I've been to in years. Not only did they have the exact part I needed (for a 2006 car), they even helped with the install--which I totally did not expect. Callie split her time helping me and helping another customer with a radiator hose--and succeeded in getting us both back on the road. I can't say enough about how much I appreciated the help and the can-do attitude. It's service worth going out of your way for, for sure.

Went there today due to my aunts battery dyeing. The Mgr Callie glady replaced it since it was still under warranty. She is the new Store Mgr and has excellent customer service skills!!! By the way she looks very young which really impressed me. The clerk, Robert G. put the battery in and he was nice, friendly, and helpful and went out his way to help my elderly aunt with a few other things. It's wonderful to see young people with excellent customer service skills. The store was nice, and clean. I would definitely do business with them again.

THE MOST OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! We purchased a battery a little over a year ago and it started acting funny. Micheal Valentine and the Store Manager William took care of the issue for us with swift, friendly and professional service! Micheal got us in a new battery and not only did it not cost us anything because it was still under warranty he got us in a better battery for less money and refunded the difference. He did all this leg work on his own to take care of us. In addition to really knowing his stuff, he was also highly personable and attentive throughout the exchange. As Micheal was installing our new battery, William (the Store Manager) came out to let us know that our warranty started over with the exchange and to make sure we were happy with our experience. All I can really say is that these two gentlemen have earned a lifetime AutoZone customer in not only me, but my entire family. Amazing experience!!! At the auto parts store no less!!! Thank you both for taking the stress out of the situation!!!
