The store is ok , they have a diner which is half decent .
As for the shop/service
Seem to play favorites getting work done , waited 5+ hours for a drive tire change , checked in at 10am after calling them at 7am to let them know I was in route after making sure that even had the tires in stock , it's now 3pm and still haven't even been called in.
I understand the doing tire changes probably doesn't pay the mechanics much , but it's crazy that they don't have just one mechanic doing tires only.
Took them 33 minutes to install the tire and pay the bill. Billing paper says 3:42pm
So wait it took 5 hours of waiting for a 25 min job , killed my clock over nothing .
I hope somebody in management reads this and realizes they could have gotten a truck back on the road over 31 minutes but instead killed 5 hours off a clock on a truck that could have been active.
Very helpful and Gabriel was very professional on the road side call. The only thing that I’d think would really help would be to have a designated road service so the driver is not on the side of the road for several hours. But the service was great. Just a long wait time wasn’t very fun. Thanks compass life transport.
Terrible service!
Came for a simple oil change - I've been waiting for six hours! No one inside, no one working, complete silence. No apologies, no explanations. It seems like the staff doesn't care about the customers at all. I categorically do not recommend this place!
The attendants weren't very friendly. Daytime couldn't even be bothered to put her phone down or on hold while helping me. The showers and restroom were clean, hot water, and decent enough pressure. Plenty of laundry machines, overall clean and well maintained. I did not visit the fuel island, this is the main store.
Great place to stop and fuel, or grab something quick to eat from the buffet at the Iron Skillet. Which used to be the best buffet around known for their 24oz T-Bone steaks, endless steak fries, and all the sweet tea you could drink all for $9.99. But unfortunately, they no longer offer that special, but their buffet is still good as long as you can catch it when the ladies who have been around a while the ones from the old school and know how to cook. Other than that, it's so so. It is also a great place to stop and get your semi or even smaller vehicles washed at the Blue Beacon Truck Wash. Tons of parking spaces for us truckers and a great facility up front at the main store with buffet a barbershop washers and dryers a on hand dentist and a movie theater for the driver's who want to unwind and a knife store.
They didn’t last too long for 2 tires , they wasn’t bussy. They don’t have recap or used tires which i think it’s a really good deal. Because the recap tires most of the time are really bad and they know it.
They it’s my second time there. It’s might be debris form the construction on the way there , because it’s not coincidence.
Front tire replace , and after i had something wrong with my trailer tire i Called them so they don’t make me drop the trailer but they did and they start asking me why i dropped it. So miscomunication.
The guys look hard workers. They where laughing about the recap tire broke that was wear maybe they know something, but who knows….
Wow. This is the best place in SC to get work done. In and out PM and some electrical issues done nice and professional.

Men's restroom was horrible 3 out of 4 toilets not flushed. You guys that do this should be banned an never allowed to even be in public. Disgusting people why don't you guys make a restroom log an check after each use freaking animals man smh.
Iron Skillet terrible, ordered Buffalo Mac & cheese with extra chicken. There was no extra chicken, the only chicken I got what looked like scraps of chicken, dry and overcooked. Wasted $24 for this junk.
Just wanna heads up all. i got my tire patched from them. they forgot to tight my lugnuts. when i stopped to next stop i check lugnut was halfway to fell off. make sure everything you do work there.
If you get service here verify everything, oil filter, drain plug, etc. Alot of ta and petro have quit doing this and it shows. Had service done 1-17-24 now 1-24-24 less than three thousand miles after their ultimate service. Noticed a drip after parking come to find the oil filter wasn't even hand tight, took two full turns before becoming snug. I'd expect this from loves not not ta.

This store is immaculate, showers were clean, clean, well maintained, and hot water wasn't restricted like other places.
If you look around the store, you would have to work at finding dust bunny's in the corners... very clean truck stop... As a truck driver, I felt respected just by the up-keep!!
These womans here are disgusting & rachet that work in this truck stop. They look & act like dirty greasy chicken bones...Those women's working at the food station ar the fuel pumps has a lack of communication, hospitality, self respect , appearance & customer service. This is pitiful...Change your scenery...
Not enough people to do an oil change. This is what happens when truck service becomes like McDonald's... (Thank you for responding but unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened at your location. Last time you were out of filters. Doesn't seem like anything is really changing. This was my second try with your location and honestly I doubt I'll try a 3rd time.)
Never had problems with TA services in other locations. but this one just blew me away. Terrible service. I went to their office and said that I needed to change the engine oil and all filters. And also change the tire on the trailer. They said to wait 2 hours. After three hours of waiting, they called me. I pulled up to the service and they told me to stand outside. It was already another shift. They said they could change my "engine filter" without going inside. I said that I made an appointment for an oil change and all filters. They said, “Not a problem. we will record you again and you will again be waiting for 3 or 4 hours.” Obviously, I became indignant - for which I waited 3 hours? And this is the fault of your office and the previous shift, not mine. They just said to leave their shop. Does TA service value your time? No! It is in this place that they spit on you, your order and your time. Do not try to resent the terrible service - they will just kick you out
This place is a dump trucks trailers abandoned here laundry rooms dirty bathrooms are always dirty that mostly because truck drivers are disrespectful pigs... only good thing here is the flea market across the street and taco truck on weekends. Get your act together clean up your parking lot...

Called to get and appointment for a wheel seal replaced and was told to come in next day at 7am. Upon doing so after driving 50 miles was told it would be near 12 before they could get it. After waiting till 10:30am they informed me they didn’t have the wheel seal to do the repair!

Gave them another chance weeks later for our other truck Jan 31 2023, they still say same thing when you call. they will put you off

I give 3 stars only for the guys during the day. It says open 24 hrs but I came in about 3am and after getting the approval back from the company brought me into the shop and the night tech. I believe his name was Caleb. Took one look at the airbag that was popped on my trailer and said you'll have to come back in the morning. We don't have the part. He did not look for the part or grab a part number. I went under the trailer grabbed to the part number, went into the office and ask the guy if they had it. The office guy asked the tech who never even looked. He said no. They said they have a shop they can get the part from in the morning. Doesn't open until 8:00 and it's only a mile away. When I came in in the morning the guys that were then on shift had no idea what was going on as nothing was written down. They got the air bag off looked. Had the part sitting on the shelf got us in and out in about an hour and a half. Obviously the night guys just didn't want to do the work honestly if they shouldn't have a job as they get paid hourly if they're not going to do anything. However, the daytime crew was awesome. A bunch of great nice guys
Horrible service. Mechanics had severe attitude problem. No communication between anyone there. Had to check in damn near every two hour a finally hit in shop after 23 hrs waiting. One shift said I was next right around shift change. Come to find out they changed shifts and told the next shift my appointment was for the next day and to not call me in. Had to tell multiple people on multiple shifts what I needed then mechanic says he only has one item on paperwork ask I had to yet again explain to people and get another work order written up. They didn’t have half the items needed and of course only had two tires in stock which happened to be most expensive brand when shocker I needed two tires. Will never go here again my boss placed it on do not return list for all his trucks
