I came in about 8:30 in the morning because my husband had a new (used) tire put on the front of my car and it had a really terrible shake. I called a place in Florence and they told me it sounds like you just need the tire balanced. They couldn’t get me in until end of next week. I told her I really needed it done asap because I transport my kids to and from school all week and Lord forbid something happen while I have them with me. She told me that Blacks tire was really good and that they could probably get me in quicker. I called the day before and they told me I could bring it in I wouldn’t have to make an appointment. I dropped the car off and he told me it would be about an hour so I left and came back.. it was ready when I got there so I paid for it and left and it had the same problem… never fixed.. okay no problem let me go back in here and see maybe the balance wasn’t the problem. When I came in to discus it in a very calm manner the man instantly got extremely defensive shrugging his shoulders basically telling me “well I don’t know what to tell you, we balanced your tire which is what you wanted”. He told me 3 times that I needed to get new tires soon. I acknowledged him stating I would let my husband know.. as I was telling him about my issue not being any different he shrugged and said well you do need new tires.. I said yes you told me that but that isn’t what is making my car shake! The thing is I had a calm manner never once raised my voice or became rude but was met with rudeness the minute I walked in the door with the issue! I called my husband in tears for how a place can just take advantage of somebody like that and be soo rude.. I don’t make negative reviews I may have only done it twice in my lifetime but this upset me so bad..
Got me in & out in a timely fashion , took great care of my car (my tires were BALD so I needed new ones installed) & everyone was so kind & friendly ! Also VERY good pricing !
Got a quote earlier in the week, they were very helpful and quick and showed me the wear on my current tires. Went back and got new tires, they installed them and new wiper blades while i walked the rail trail, so very efficient.
My son had a flat and after changing it was able to get it in to Blacks and they got him a new tire fixed the lug bolt and had me back with in the same day. Thank you giys

Bucky Rourke was fantastic with everything provided. Was up front and honestly with everything and I paid what was quoted. I am for sure coming back to see him again for future service on my Jeep.
After going multiple places and no one could fix my car. Took my car for them to see what's going on with my alignment. Was replacing 2 rear tires every 3 months. Got that call to let me know the condition of my car and the quote right away. I agreed to the quote and ask if they could fix it they did just that my car now rides the way it suppose to ride. Thanks Black's tires I wish I could remember their names but just know everyone is helpful and caring. I greatly appreciate you guys getting my car back right.
Had an appointment with Goodyear to get my headlight replaced. Showed up for the appointment and was told it would be a 2 hour wait. For a headlight which I had an appointment for. Decided to drop in at Black’s , who I might add was also busy, and was I. And out in 30 minutes. Guess where I will go from now on with ALL my needs

After waiting over 30 minutes at another tire shop, I called Black's. They said they could work me in. They had me out of the shop in under an hour to continue my drive to Florida. Highly recommended!
On the way to get my windshield fixed, I picked up a nail. Luckily, Black’s Tire and Auto Services was right next door on W.Palmetto. They plugged my tire They are friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Black’s!

I have only been in the Florence area for a little over 3 years and I have used Black's Tire Service from Tire repair, complete set of tires and most frequent, front end alignment. In every encounter the staff has gone out of their way to assist me in my needs, I am truly grateful.
The above post has all changed with my visit on 5/7/25. I had a flat tire with no spare, I took the tire to Black's for repair and it needed to be replaced so I had them order a new tire and took the flat tire back to put it on the car so it could be towed to Black's. The wrecker driver said it would be $80.00. When I picked up my car Black's changed me $125.00. When I asked about the difference he said that they had to mark it up. I don't disagree with a mark up, but 55% for something that they had no work involved seems extremely outrageous. I don't see me patronizing Black's Tire for any of my future needs.
This is the best Black's tire hands down. Always friendly and efficient with their service. Once you've visited here for a service you won't want to go anywhere else. These guys make us feel at home. Thanks Bob and your Black's Tire crew for always taking care of your loyal patrons.
Bob and the service staff at Irby st blacks tire did a great job on my wife’s car. She has 218000 miles on it and does not want a new car, she love her Lexus like the day she bought it. So Basically they did a whole front end job on her car. With a set of arroyo tires that ride just as well as a set of Michelin’s or Goodyear. Thanks for the hard work.
They fixed the problem within 2 hours of me going to them. They took time to discuss a question I had about my car as well. These guys are great. They also have a good reputation for fixing fleet vehicles.

I can tell this is a very busy place and it can take quite a while to get your vehicle taken care of. Two new tires were suggested along with alignment which I had no problem with. The issue was the wait time. You're better off dropping the vehicle off and coming back...... especially if you have to drive a distance. Overall I was pleased with the job.
BEST AUTO SERVICE EVER! From the moment I called them, to when I came in and even after getting my car serviced these guys provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Super knowledgeable, honest and fair prices! After an oil change, new tire & tire rotation I was in and out in an hour, would've been less than that but it took me a minute to think on if I wanted an additional service or not. They most certainly have my business and looking forward to going back when the time comes. If you're a woman, you get how scary it can be getting your car serviced & hoping they won't try to price gouge or get over on you. These guys are legit, even the mechanics seemed like they loved being there. I will recommend this place to everyone. Thank you so much Black's Tires, especially Paul & Bob, you all are awesome! I originally went to one of the local competitors because both of my rare tires were constantly loosing air pressure. I became frustrated with the competitor and left that establishment, on my way home I decided to stop at Blacks, I walked in the door and was greeted by a staff person not asking what I needed but instead I was asked “How I was doing today”, after which I told them what was going on, they said okay we will take a look at it. I went and sat outside for about 20 to 30 mins then here comes my car. I was amazed, the gentleman that got out my car was friendly, walked me back in, thanked me for coming in today - he was extra nice. As I proceeded to pay and leave… they even thanked me for keeping the streets clean… by picking up the nails with my tires. I thought that was a cute joke - in an attempt to make light of a situation.
They were friendly, professional and valued my time. I certainly recommend Blacks Tire on Palmetto Street in Florence, SC.

I took my vehicle to 2 other shops locally. I had tired put on at both places. My vehicle was shaking bad. I took it back repeatedly to the other shops and it wasn't fixed.
After 1 stop at Black's, my vehicle drives amazing. A huge thanks to Paul and the rest of the staff.
