I went to A&A Transmission for a transmission replacement, and what I experienced went far beyond a repair.
What I was not expecting was true honesty, integrity, and genuine care. In today’s world, it can be very hard to find mechanics you can truly trust. A&A Transmission is truly a needle in a haystack.
So many places have become greedy and dishonest — but not here.
At A&A Transmission, I felt respected, informed, and treated fairly. They were honest with me from the beginning, and they did exactly what they said they would do. They fixed my transmission — but even more than that, they helped restore my trust in people again.

My 2013 Toyota Highlander was showing a transmission code and wouldn’t move. I was fearing having to replace the transmission. I checked around and all my trusted sources said Jason was where I needed to take my car. Jason and his team quickly diagnosed the issue and went to work replacing components that had been damaged in an accident before I had purchased the car. He promised to fix it and keep the cost down but it would take some time. The car is fixed and when I was presented with the bill I told him that wasn’t enough. I knew he had more time invested than he billed me. He admitted that he had more hours than he billed but he had promised to keep the cost down. It’s hard to find people who do what they say they’re going to do these days Jason is that rare good guy. I highly recommend him and his team.
Jason and his staff are beyond top shelf. They have always went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Never once have I ever had to bring anything back. They do it one and done.
Had a transmission rebuilt here. I never had any issue with it after they got it back to me. The price was fair compared to other shops. They were always helpful and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend them.
My transmission failed while I was 3 hours from home. They helped me understand all my options and encouraged me to make the best decision as far as replacing transmission or trading vehicles. Very professional and knowledgeable.

Went to have my transmission fluid changed (which I had my own fluids) "supposedly" changed the fluid for $125. Left the remaining fluid in the back. Two weeks later I had some cv axle issues and took the axle all the way out and low and behold guess what came out? The same old dirty black transmission fluid that was already in there from before!!! Called the shop to speak to the owner about the incident...guess what...he surprisingly wasn't there of all day lol smh! Left my name, call back number, and vehicle info from previous work...and here it is another two weeks later as I type...STILL...NOT A SINGLE WORD FROM THESE CROOKS! I only used them bc of a referral from a guy that I purchased a vehicle from...other than that....you will find out for yourself how these backyardians are!
Paid too much for a trans rebuild that they couldn't even program to my car after 2 weeks. Then didn't have the trans tightened which caused a horrible oil leak. Doug (manager) was unresponsive and didn't care to make things right. Do not recommend at all
Team worked diligently on my car to isolate and repair my issue while being respectful and mannerly. Also searched for parts that were reasonable and accessible in day or so

Honest, honest people. Jason and Doug are awesome. My daddy worked with them for years. Recently took my truck up and was prepared to have the transmission totally rebuilt as I only had third gear. They were able to fix it and have it running perfect for a fraction. Anyone else would have took my money and rebuilt it even though it didn't need it or worse may have fixes the same thing they fixed and charged me for a rebuild. Can't get any better S far as I'm concerned.

Good honest people. I thought my transmission was failing, but they took a few minutes to look over it and found that a sensor had been left undone at a previous shop. Fixed my shifting problems immediately, this all happened in about 15 minutes. Would recommend anybody having car issues come here.
These guys are awesome. They are very reasonably priced...I liked the fact that when I called to checkup on my Truck they always were nice and professional. Trust me these guys are worth it!

After an initial estimate of $1800, the price went up to $2670 for a transmission. It was supposed to be a 3 year, 100,000 mile warranty but when completed it’s a 18,000 mile warranty. As if none of that is bad enough, it took them weeks to put a transmission in. Save your money and time and go to a different shop!
I had an excellent experience with A&A from the time I walked through the door. Doug and the other staff (Mechanic’s) made me feel so much better. They helped me with my car and didn’t take advantage of my lack of knowledge in dealing with my transmission. I was given a free estimate and other services and refused to let me pay a dime. I will be going back if I ever have anymore issues with my cat that they can assist me with.
I recently purchased a Nissan Altima from Real Deals, big mistake. My transmission started messing up in less than 48 hours. Took it to A & A Transmission and it was a GREAT experience. It took a while but through no fault of their own, it was the warranty company that took its sweet time. I would definitely recommend them and if I need it serviced again, I'll be taking it back even though I live in Darlington 😊
Great place and friendly people!! I’m new to the area so I called around they gave me the best quote and warranty. Picked my car up that day and had it back to me in less than 2 days(pick up Tuesday and I got it back Thursday). Great service I would definitely recommend this place!
This guy is the best don't even think of going somewhere else you treated with dignity respect and they don't try to rob you blind always been honest and straightforward if it's not worth fixing they will tell you if you ask them for advice they will answer your question do not go to another transmission shop they will rip you off this is the most honest transmission trap I've ever been to In My Life I would recommend these people to anyone and if you don't check with them first you're going to be in trouble you will be ripped off by another transmission dealer doug s the most honest man there can be always straightforward always respectful he doesn't care if you don't spend money with him he will give you the correct advice if they had 10 Stars I would give it to this place honestly don't go somewhere else before you check A&A Transmissions you will not regret it and you will be posting the same type of high rated remarks for this company it can't be beat especially the dedication of the employees hope you give them some business no they didn't pay me for this but they've helped me out so much I'd be willing to give them more go here first thank you

Awful. I understand when a business is busy. But, when you make a mistake that results in me having to bring my car back, then it should be made a priority. They don't even have the courtesy to call you like they are supposed to, and the owner has no clue (or atleast acts like it) what is going on. Don't get me wrong, they were really nice people, but unfortunately that doesn't always work.
