While I didn't go with their service they were extremely quick to help and even waived the fuel surcharge (because of the big distance) Being a woman stuck on the side of the road, I sincerely appreciate the quickness and urgency of their help. Thank you guys!

DO NOT use their services! We had a flat tire on our trailer and stopped in to get a replacement. Paid them in full. A block down the road the new tire felt like it was going to fall off the trailer. We pulled over to find that the workers placed ALL the lug nuts on BACKWARDS! This place could have caused our entire family a major ACCIDENT! This was NOT a mistake, but intentional.

Great group of people. Very responsive and knowledgeable. We've used them several times and they do a great job at a fair price. When rigging counts Joe is the man.

Lost brakes on my 2006 F250 driving down I-77 in Chester SC on a long trip back to FL. Was sent here by another business owner. They got me right in. Had the part on hand and got to work! Friendly office staff, excellent workers and fair pricing! Even my dog enjoyed the divine appointment with Joe's Truck and Auto Repair! Highly recommend this business.

Same as many others- misquoted price and overcharging. Stated they would send two trucks out to haul large tractor and the price would go up for additional truck. Only sent one and still charged the price for two. Would not charge price even through only one truck was used. Will not be using them again.

Poor mechanic service on my semi truck. Had a new engine block put in. Did not break my new engine in correctly. Constantly let my truck sit in idle for a few days to break the engine in. Only time they moved my truck is to check out the new clutch that I had them to install. Kept my truck over 5 months. Plus over charge me thousands of dollars that wasn't on the agreement. Finally got my truck back and two days later I had a major leak. Another mechanic discovered it when I took my truck to get the abs light check out. Found out the front main seal was leaking. Also the rear main seal was leaking. I took my truck back to Joe's and they kept my truck for 9 more days without doing anything to it. But letting it sit out in the yard with the engine running again. The reason I know that is because I switched my truck off when I got there. Ask for John the shop manager who cuss me out several days prior for bringing the seals to speed up the process. But he had went out on a service call. So i asked the guys in the shop. How long has my truck been sitting out there running. They said a little over two hours. Checking for leaks. I'm like for what because you can clearly see where's the leak are coming from. Anyway I took my truck back because I wasn't going to let them hold my truck hostage anymore. So I took my truck to the mechanic who found the issue. Come to find out once he started taking the seals out. They had put the seals in backwards. Front main seal was in the rear and the rear seal in the front. Plus seals had dents in them. Once I put a load on my truck. Oil started running down on both sides of my engine coming from the valve covers. If they had broke my engine in correctly with a load. They would have discovered the problem. The engine would have been under stress and that's how it should have been broken in.

All the 5 stars I see must be for towing only or you are friends with the owner because they are crooks. They will overcharge you and still not fix the problem. If you bring it to their attention they will get an attitude and still play around with your truck. I would NOT recommend this company and by reading some other reviews about semi truck problems with them, I wouldn't even try them like I did. Sometimes you try to give them the benefit of the doubts but doing that cost me thousands of dollars and nothing fixed. Please believe me.

Eric was a great help! He arrived quickly and helped me save money I spent a lot less than what I was quoted for elsewhere.

Late evening and raining heavily. Arrived within 45 minutes of order placement and Eric was great to work with (pleasant and professional). Cost was reasonable as well.

I contacted Joe's and requested a DOT inspection for a flatbed I had recently purchased site unseen. The seller had said it just needed airbags and an air tank bracket. I requested that they give me an estimate on replacing airbags and one board on a nail strip on a flatbed in addition to the inspection. I had also requested that they install two equipment boxes between the trailer axles which they did. I purchased the equipment boxes and had them shipped to their location. An estimate was never furnished. They passed the DOT inspection for this trailer, did not replace any airbags, and replaced all of the nail strips without additional authorization. They charged us almost $3200! Within 600 mi of leaving their shop, one of the airbags blew. The repair person could not replace it because of the rusted condition of the brackets. My driver continued on and then a tire blew which substantially damaged the equipment box on that side. This trailer should never have passed a DOT inspection! These people are crooks. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!! I had also asked for them to email me a copy of the bill which they never did. I requested to speak to the owner or have him call me and this also has not happened. I'm going to report it to the attorney general's office now.

My center bearing on my driveline failed, causing my driveshaft to drop. It was a Thursday about 1pm, and I was basically in the middle of nowhere (Sumter National Forest). As an owner operator, leased to a major carrier, I decided to ignore the carriers suggestions for a tow and repair, and called around to several local moving companies that I knew well, to ask for advice on who to call. Two of them said to call Joe’s Towing, so I did. That put the full repair on me, since Joe’s what not on the carriers list. (Carrier is in the Midwest) The carrier wanted to call towing companies on the north side of Charlotte and in Monroe….and towing companies who did not repair. I wanted to consolidate services under one roof. So, I called Joes. I had a tow truck out to me within an hour. Their tow driver drove me to a local hotel. The next day, I made my way to Penske in Charlotte and went on with my load, hoping for the best with the repair and it’s cost. I didn’t know them, they didn’t know me. Worse, I live near Atlanta, several hundred miles away. They had the truck for just over two weeks. Most of that time, waiting for the driveline. My wife and I met at Joes yesterday to get the truck out. Trucks running as good as she ever has (1.5 million miles on her). Joes couldn’t have been nicer, more honest, or more fair, from beginning to end. They actually remind me of my local shop, who I’ve used exclusively for 30 years. I’d refer them to anybody.

My family and I were on our way to Orlando for vacation and somehow a nail had gotten in our tire. There was a young girl & I believe her brother that helped us immediately. They were so kind and extremely helpful. I want to thank you both for being there for us. Both of you Rock!!

On Dec. 15, my car died between Lancaster and Chester on Hwy 9, which is an hour and about 1/2 from my home in Laurens. On a recommendation, I called them, and they towed my car in at 1 am the next day. It was an alternator issue. Spoke with a mechanic John, who was very helpful. Asked him to look at it and give me an estimate. The job was handed off to another mechanic, I think his name was Kindle. I was never offered an estimated, or warned of the expense or what to expect. Today, 6 days later, I was charged a fee of 125 hour for emergency repair (as apposed to the posted regular hourly rate of 90 an hour) and held hostage to get my car back. Joe seemed to be proud that he gave me 50 off the 830 something dollar bill they presented me with when I pleaded for help. No estimated offer...did work without asking if I could handle it. 35 extra an hour billed at 4 hours...that Joe told me himself may not actually have taken 4 hours. But the emergency repair was done 6 days later. I'm glad I have my car back...but I had to give my rent money to make that happen. And I feel like you should never start a job over 500 without letting someone know what to expect. If I didn't have good friends, I could have lost my car, because I couldn't pay the exonerate unauthorized fees. I feel like 90 an hour and the 50 he gave me off the up charge for what they actually paid for the alternator would have been more honest and fair. My opinion.

Contacted to tow our bmw for 30 miles exactly and it was located locally. Quoted me 450$ higher for the exact same trip when I stated it was a BMW. I used to work for Joe years ago so I wanted to give him our business. I will never even consider them again.

Quoted price for tow @300hr 1hr min. I told them come on. Less than 15mins to get me unstuck. Rate was 500. At least be upfront. Beware.

My wife and I hit a pothole on our way back to GA. Local Sheriff called Joes and Justin came and picked us up in the dead of night. The entire company treated us like family and got us back on the road the next day. Thank you all for turning a scary experience for my wife into just a bump in the road. Good people are everywhere and a lot of them are right here!

Stranded with a broken down truck out of state with very few choices and managed to limp my truck and a 16,000 pound RV in tow to their shop. I was treated very well and given a ride to a local hotel. I was called the next afternoon and told it was ready and they were sending someone over to pick me up at the hotel. Braced for the worst I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the bill was $314.00. Arrived tonight in South Florida with no problem. Thank you Josh and the crew at your shop for a well done job. God bless you and your shop.

Incredibly nice and helpful people. Broke down just a few minutes up the road on my way to Columbia, and was fortunate enough to be towed to Joe’s. They quickly helped me get the parts and repairs I needed in order to get there, even though they seemed to be very busy that day. Great place.

1 star only because zero stars wasn't an option!! Ditto the review that said they take advantage of you- wish I'd read more closely before I called them. Told me on the phone it would be less than the $250/hr charge because "it wouldn't take that long" to pull my truck out of the mud. Once they provided the service (which took 5 minutes), then said the charge was $250. When I protested, they lied about the phone conversation and threatened to tow my truck to their shop if I didn't pay. Bait and switch at its worst! Horrible experience, horrible people.
