My son went here for a school trip. I was concerned that the is part of a Christian ministry and would force that faith on all people at the camp. We were there 3 days and I did not feel or see any staff push faith upon any guest. All the staff were welcoming, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for an environmental conscious trip.

I came twice on school field trips in the 90s and have the fondest memories of my time here. Don't remember a religious affiliation but I do remember team building, problem solving, nature education and the excitement of a first overnight school trip. Glad to know kids still get a chance to come here.

Stayed 3 days / 2 nights as a chaperone for a class trip and I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was awesome!! Jared and his staff of naturalists (The Blue Crew) were nothing short of amazing. All of them were excellent teachers and mentors for the students. They’re passionate about what they do and it shows. The classes, food and whole experience was the best. I still catch myself and my kids singing songs we learned here. I highly recommend this camp and can’t wait for the opportunity to go again.

Amazing Children's Camp. Great for field trips. So much learning. Dining Hall. Welcome Center. Cabins. Tours. Animals. Forests. Estuary. Ponds. Apartments. Camp Fire. So much more!!!!!! TOP TIER STAFF. CHLOE, TYLER, CARLEIGH, AND LAUREN WERE SO INCREDIBLE, as was the rest of the staff, but they really stick out! Facilities are wonderful. They are also so friendly to the environment. Composting food and separation of products used on site. A few staff members really stuck out as well as not so friendly, but everything else made up for it.

One of the most beautiful Camp and Conference centers I've stayed at. Comfortable beds, good food, right on the beach, sunrise and sunset walks with dolphins, yes dolphins. Went home with a bag of incredible seashells and anticipating the next chance I get to be back.

Great experience here with my 5th graders class trip. Very clean grounds and knowledgeable staff, food was good not great but what do you expect at a camp. If they say to bring clothes you dont mind getting dirty please take them at their word as the mud pit and hike are really muddy!! Great times had by all, and the Dolphins were out in force!

This is an excellent experience for both kids and adult chaperones. Where else could you learn about the March, tidal mud pits, ponds. And all things marine

I will begin with the limited attractive elements of St. Christopher Camp. - Geographic location/beachfront location offers gorgeous views and beach access (strong tidal currents make swimming unsafe) - Recreation areas such as open fields for football, soccer, etc., but no fields exist. Basketball court in passable condition is present. These benefits of the camp are nullified by the many factors detracting or prohibiting any prolonged stay in this location. - disrepair of living quarters, clearly suffering years of ocean winds with little apparent repair or protective measures taken. - swampy nature of camp grounds brings outsized insect population, compounding the lack of bug prevention windows, or any complete shelter. - Large population of dangerous animals (bobcat, alligators, snakes, etc,.) limit the amount of activities available, notably at sundown. - lake for fishing is populated by a family of alligators, making a relaxing fishing experience impossible - unresponsive and cruel staff inflicted embarrassment in a group of children in my presence. Despite no markings withholding access to the Public beach, two high ranking (will remained unnamed) officials physically blocked their entry, to a land supposedly intended to be used by the church and adherents. - infestation of wide variety of spider and insects in main Chapel and living quarters. Beautiful land but it is - wasted - on the small group that takes little care for the camp’s purpose. This land remains a vanity asset in the hands of stewards that take aggressive efforts at keeping adherents out… but little effort in upkeep and maintenance. *note - yelling and physical altercation with minors occurred 4+ years ago, and may no longer be a part of the organization. Most else have held posts for extended periods.

The private beach was beyond beautiful! Nature undisturbed ocean front is a rare find these days and watching the sea turtles do their yearly egg laying journey was an exciting experience. The privacy on the beach was something I've never experienced and to see the sunset over the ocean from this tiny island was a unique perspective from the east coast.

I am praying for all of you at St Christopher’s camp tonight because it appears that those who are at the camp on Seabrook Island feel they are above the law, and that they do not have to be considerate of others. Thus they insist on making others outside of the camp miserable for hours on end. Other human beings deserve respect too. Those who are paying customers of Seabrook should not be subject to extremely loud noise from your camp when they are attempting to find peace on Seabrook. According to the law, the camp has a church affiliation and therefore is allowed to perform “christian services" but I find it hard to believe that the type of music and concert like environment that includes excessive yelling and screaming over a microphone at late hours of the night - without regard for others outside of the camp - is considered a church service. It is, at a minimum, disrespectful and disruptive to other's happiness. It shows that the camp (and possibly the associated Anglican religion) does not have any concern for anyone other than themselves. Has the Anglican church fallen so far from understanding, that they have a responsibility to the mental health of ALL people. Do they not care for anyone's happiness other than their own? Doesn’t the Anglican church care about other people’s feelings and needs? Please consider the fact that you should be caring about the wellness of others - even those who are not at your camp. I certainly hope this does not fall on deaf ears but rather is heard - and fully consumed - and acted on - by someone who truly cares about others and is an honorable christian.

We just spent three days and two nights here for my son's fourth grade field trip, and what an experience it was. It's an amazing, beautiful, and serene setting on the coast...a healthy dose of nature and wildlife. We saw deer, armadillos, possums, countless species of birds, jellyfish, stingrays, dolphins, and of course, Big Mama, the resident alligator. The staff was friendly and patient with the kids, and the food was better than expected. The cabins and the showers and bathrooms are a little tight, but they still get the job done...plus, roughing it just a bit is part of the experience! I'd love to come back some day, for another friend trip or as a family vacation.

This place and organization are absolutely awesome. It’s so wonderful what they do for children. I had the honor of being a chaperone for my niece on her school field trip. I could tell the kids really enjoyed everything & we all had such a wonderful time. Some of our Naturalists were Kate and Rebecca. They did such a nice job as tour guides and had a nice way of explaining these things in nature to the kids. I took what seems like a bazillion pictures & videos. I could not post them all, but hopefully you can see for yourself how much fun these kids had from the few I posted. This camp not only educated the kids about nature, but also teaches them teamwork and responsibility. What a great bonding experience for everyone!

This camp has bed bugs! My son's school went there last week and my son was severely bitten up by bed bugs! He has over 30 bites on his face, scalp, and neck! I noticed the bites the morning we were leaving the camp. I took him to the pediatrician the morning after he returned and she said the bites on him were bed bug bites. I contacted the camp and they said they checked the cabin he was in and found no signs of bed bugs. My son's face, scalp, and neck is evidence that they have them! I have never experienced anything like this. The bites are so itchy and look horrible. He has been constantly scratching at the bumps and we are going on a week later! In conversation with the camp, personnel at the camp said that bed bugs don't bite on the face and neck. The same person also said doctors aren't always correct. The most absurd excuses I have ever heard. I asked if they were going to exterminate and that same person said that the staff at the camp are more trained than exterminators, and they found no evidence. Another absurd comment! So, basically, no the camp is not going to exterminate and is indicating that they don't have a problem. Why wouldn't you exterminate when someone tells you her child was bitten up by bed bugs at your facility?!?! Monday morning when we arrived my son's face, neck, and scalp was clear! I know for a fact that another child who stayed in his cabin had the same type bumps on him when we were leaving. I saw it myself. Just know that the camp was informed about their bed bug issue as of April 11, 2019. Find another camp to send your kids to. Yes, the activities at the camp were very educational and fun, but experiencing the activities are not worth your child getting bitten up like my son did and going through such misery!

My family visits Camp St Christopher several times a year with various groups--Daughters of the King, Men's retreat, youth group retreats, and summer camp. The accommodations in the cabins are adequate for our type of events. I usually chaperone youth, so I'm always in a cabin. The food is very good and abundant. You'll spend a good deal of time walking to and from lodging to retreat facilities which is even nicer with the updated boardwalk. The beachfront is quiet and peaceful. Summer camp for our kids has been a great experience for the last 4 years. They enjoy the variety of activities, and really, who wouldn't want to spend a week on the beach?!

My child's school attended an educational overnight trip here. We were notified after the retreat that bed bugs had been discovered immediately after our group left. We later learned via the news that the camp had been having bed bug infestations for three months PRIOR to our group. We also found out they didn't tell the group behind ours abt the bed bugs. That group checked in on the day our group left. There's no way the camp treated adequately. They have refused to return fees or compensate for lost belongings / luggage. One would think that the Catholic Church would have learned it's lesson about trying to cover things up.

Wonderful way to reflect and enjoy an unspoiled barrier island. Staff are great, facilities are spartan but clean and comfortable.

Finding this large a destination, full of huge oaks, maritime forest trails, natural beach and pristine salt marshes at the end odd a gated island is very unusual.

This has been a very important place for my spiritual growth and encouragement. I have heard it called "a thin place" many times. God's Spirit is active here because He is so consistently invited to be so. They are serious here about their mission to provide rest, restoration and renewal. Enjoy all of the above for yourself. Call to make a reservation or attend one of the many conferences.

This camp will always have a special place in my heart. They have great seminars and fun activities. They always bring in great chaplain and this camp can help bring you much closer to Jesus.
