My car ending up here was absolutely no one's fault but my own. This is the first time I have ever dealt with this situation or a towing company. That being said, I could not be more thankful for the lady working in the office. I called her so many times and every single time she was sweet and so nice about the whole process. She broke everything down for me and made it as simple as possible and as a person with severe anxiety, she was such a saint. As much as I hope that I never have to see them again under these circumstances, I really hope the best for this place and their workers. I honestly would recommend them. They have a hard job and its nice knowing that while they have to deal with a lot of difficult situations, they still manage to be nice about it.
I was broke down at the gas station by Td’s one day (dead battery) whenever I called them to ask for assistance mind you I waited an hour and a half they got there and damaged my vehicle right infront of me !!! Whenever I asked them if they would cover that the guy insulted me and laughed me I will never be using them again
I would just like to take a moment to say this In the most polite and respectful way that I can. After reading through the other reviews, it’s clear that the towing company doesn’t understand this: Yes we were informed of the parking passes a week in advance, but we only were able to get them starting on Tuesday and then we began getting towed Wednesday night at 6 PM.
yes, people are frustrated when they come into the office, but they try to come in there with respect and grace and then are spoken to disrespectfully by the front desk, that’s when the attitude changes and you get angry customers who raise their voices and change their tone in return. It is also in (i’m not going to name the complex) that apartment lease that guests are allowed to park in driveways without a proper parking decal. it was mentioned that we would have guest decals for parking (even Though we were not given any new contract for these new parking arrangements) but we have yet to be given a guest decal which we have been promised so to tow people’s cars out of driveways without allowing us to have proper parking decals is a breach of contract with our lease. I understand that’s not fully on y’all because you have a contract with our apartment complex, but it can fall back on both parties. furthermore, the lack of respect to your customers when replying to these reviews and constructive criticism is mind boggling.
Owner is a complete jerk. Damaged a wheel during towing and would not take any accountability. Told my son to use his college education to figure it out. Unfortunately, these people have the contract for towing at The Ridge Clemson, among other places and will rip you off with a $180 bill and cash only business. Decals were not available until Tuesday after Labor Day and many vehicles were towed Wednesday night parked directly in front in the apartments which has never been an issue in the past. This is also being addressed with The Ridge.
Employee at front desk was incredibly rude this morning. If you can’t be friendly don’t work in customer service:) Employee at front desk, again, was not clear when I called day prior. Honestly ruined my day and made me pretty upset when I went to go retrieve my car from the lot. Felt the need to yell at a college student at 10 am? Car was also extremely dirty and had sticks coming out of the front.
DO YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT PREDATORY TOWING STUDENTS? ' CARS OUT OF DRIVEWAYS, THAT HAD 1 DAY TO PICK UP A PARKING STICKER AT CLEMSON AND THEN TOW THEIR CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.
Unfortunately my car got repoed and I needed a day to get things situated with payment and and everything and I’d like to say Victoria (I belive is her name) helped me through all the next steps, kept me informed on what to do next and on my paperwork, helped me after hours and even came in on a day they were closed to allow me to retrieve my car. I want to say she was super kind, understanding, relatable and just overall a very sweet person. Thank you for all your help.
The fact they got my vehicle at 740 am and I had to go to work and two school events and it was a Friday, and the fact I got out the hospital Monday to end my week taking my meds late that was for my heart condition, walked my son to school in 80 degree weather and missed my oldest daughter school awards day, had got stranded because If I had at least got to work my job would had let me use a vehicle but I lost that job and now my kids are out of school missing last weeks because they couldn’t had waited at least til 9am when I could have been at work and gotten a ride or even gotten to my finance company to make payment, I’m so thankful for uncaring people like them. Clearly they knew I dropped off 3 kids and still had one with me. And any chance I get I’m making my new review. Plus until I make sure my belongings are not missing from my pick up with the guy who kept acting as if I didn’t have both sets of keys and was scared because I handed him my weapons license before I found my drivers license, I’ll keep updating my experience I had with them. I have nothing but time now I’m not working. Have an amazing day.
i just have gone through all the reviews and its just so sad. if i had the time to write back to everyone I would. But its just sad that people don't have compassion. And the ones that have no replies back are so obvious. But i cant wait til my review gets a reply because I am so ready for some entertainment with me not being able to work right now besides them taking my car and leaving me stranded with my child. Its so funny they been following me to my kids school and as I ran around to do my business on a Friday. But anytime I can I will make a review and if I could reply to you all I would. My reviews hold and STAND OUT. just ask the hotel we had to stay at a few months ago who had to end up replying with a sad sorry not really caring story that they are so sorry. Horrible service. They waited til I took my son inside to come and get my car. I would have been alright with them just saying look I’m getting your car. I would have gotten my things out and gotten a ride like a civil person and not even had met them at the office I would have preferred that. I told my finance company I had hardship and just got out the hospital which doesn’t matter at this point. I’m not even mad about our car but the workers were very rude and even had the nerve to get smart with me because I asked why did they take my bag out the car It didn’t have a sign on it saying gun in here so the fact that I have to make sure nothing is missing is beyond me, no customer service at all and tried to act like they didn’t have my bag with my meds and firearm. If u ask me my lawyer could have a field day with them but it’s all good cause God don’t like ugly. Stay blessed

Not pull it and damage rim that they Train their guys to handle with care. I assumed when repoed they wouldn’t care . This company does and I hope to never get put in this position again but if need a tow or a company to handle stuff in this matter I highly recommend them. One star, meatloaf was dry and the pillows were lumpy and one guy kept trying to stick his tongue in my ear.
They let me into someone's car without even looking at my license or asking my name.
Edit: since they want to reply wanting more of the story I will gladly provide that. I had been letting someone use my truck to get back on their feet and they got pulled over and arrested on a Tuesday. (Implying I was arrested is slander and liable btw, keep digging your hole.) They got the call to impound. I live in Charlotte and called Thursday saying I couldn't make it down until the weekend. They said they wouldn't be open for the weekend but that they didn't want to charge me for every day storage fee.
I made it down Monday after taking a day off work. Walk into the building and ask about getting my truck. The guy running the show tried to tell me he didn't say he would help with storage fees and the state mandates $375 towing fee (they do not, they only allow $275) he tried to overcharge me on this, he told someone else to add up the charges. He then tells me $475, I said I have $400 cash. After calling someone else he refused to accept that so I asked to get my property out of my truck.
At this point 4 trucks from the company with 6 people drove down to the yard and circled a nice dual cab red 4wd Nissan, this confused me as mine was a piece of junk grey 2wd. I drove around the yard and found my truck sitting in a different area so I pulled up to it.
The guy in charge starts stomping over to me and I asked "did you think I was after the 4wd, you thought you were keeping something nice" he starts jumping at me "M'effer I work for what I got I don''t have to take anything blahblah blah" then threatens me saying "this is my property I can do whatever I want to you" I begged him to them and I'm still begging him to now PLEASE make my day.
You tried to overcharge for a truck that wasn't worth it. You'll be hard pressed to get $200 at scrap for this one thinking it was the nicer truck you all surrounded. Your attitude and ego got you caught having to eat a towing charge because you were trying to get over on someone and you got called out on it. Not my fault your an idiot who didn't know what vehicle you were trying to charge me for.
4 stars for efficiency, could have been 5 but considering the circumstances...... These folks are like the Sherlock Holmes of car hunting. After two other towing companies couldn’t find my car, they swooped in and found it while I was innocently shopping at Walmart (becausewhy not add a little excitement to your shopping trip!?). While the other 2 companies busy wasting gas, these guys had the audacity to find my car in record time! Lol
I was prepared for a battle, but they were super nice and easy to deal with. If you need a tow (or need a car found), these are your people. Just maybe don’t park too close to Walmart. ???

If anyone ever needs help, these are the guys to ask. Had the pleasure of meeting Tucker last night when he and I stopped to help a kid that just wrecked his bike. He was on his way to work, and did not hesitate to stop and offer his assistance. Not only did he run to the fire department and call 911 for help, he also pushed the kid’s bike down the road to put it in a safe location. Great dude, and Stone Services are lucky to have him!
My friends boyfriend was caught for days instead of kicking him up which they police made him walk from central to liberty and it was cold and raining hard anyway they impounded my friends car she had tried working with them bout getting her car she is not a rich lady and needs her personal belongings out of the car they won't let her get anything not even her ebt card for food so she had to cancel and reorder and wait well these people have no heart
This happened about a week ago but, my tire blew, and they stopped to help me; they helped me put a spare on my car so that I wasn’t stranded. If it wasn’t for them helping me, I really would have been screwed. I am so grateful for the help they gave me.
A lady was very rude to me when coming to pick up a car and did not have the evidence of said tire being on the grass. Normal impound charge of $130 that can be paid with cash only. Business is also missing a website/email and has an F rating with the BBB so be careful with them.
Doesn’t respond to call to solve problems. Business address is a phony address it’s a Dallor General. Owner and staff should mot be dealing with public due to unprofessional customer service. Mr Stone your business manner is of the lowest caliber I’ve ever seen in my life. I left a message with a valid call back number and still never received a call to collect my belongings and medications from that vehicle. Please don’t try to use reverse tactics. Listen to your answer machine and response to your customers!
I don’t usually rate companies but I just had to take the time out to rate Stone Towing in Pendleton SC giving 5 stars! When I called the company I spoke directly with the owner, John, who was so very considerate and handled our conversation and my concerns like a true professional. This company is insured, which is an awesome safety net for the client. The driver was also professional and very kind, even in the pouring rain! My cost on this tow was incredibly fair- just what you would have expected it to be. I have never been this happy with a tow company and I will refer this company to all my family and friends! Thank you Stone Towing for your exceptional service!!!
Very bad attitude they harass people, money hungry, will tow your car and not think twice about it they tow it make you pay a big fine, there is no justice for us honest living citizens... And further more Stones towing don't have a policy, stones towing will steal your car do not trust this company.....?
ZERO STARS- Employee of Clemson University with sticker in window & in employee parking lot. I still got towed. John Stone Towing from Pendleton, SC has parking contract. Towed my 2017 Silverado pick up. After crying then paying a $97.00 fine I went to the Clemson impound lot to FIND MY TRUCK RIM LOOKING LIKE THIS. I took SEVERAL PICTURES BEFORE LEAVING the lot. Tried to call & report it to somebody with no luck. Finally got a hold of somebody in the Clemson police, they directed me to parking services, who directed me to JOHN STONE TOWING. I talked with his wife who was very kind & gave me John Stone Cell phone to send pictures to. After 24 hours I call him. He was looking for a rim, said he wanted to repair if could, I called my Chevy Dealer they said rim was $611.00 plus tax. I text Mr. Stone the price & he went to a used place to try to find one, i text hime it was a new brand New truck with 9k miles. I think he called & blamed his son for damaging it. So his son called and wanted to come look at it. SO HE TRIED TO TELL ME IT WAS CURB RASH ARE YOU SERIOUS...!!!!!!! WHAT A CROOK!!!! What is happening to all the honest PEOPLE??
