The old guy here needs to Shut his mouth and do just do his job. I’ve dealt with 2 guys here. Young guy is legit, but the old guy has some disrespectful comment about everything for absolutely no reason. If they had the best prices, maybe worth it, but providence and Walpole scrap yards are worth the drive for both their prices and quality of the guys who work there. Actually, I’d drive to the other locations even if the prices were worse.

Five stars from me. Went here for the first time with some aluminum, very clean shop, exceptionally fair and up-to-date pricing for metals. Lou was very helpful and courteous. For anyone looking to get rid of scrap metal i suggest you stop at Heavy Metal first. I will be definitely going back again soon

I wanted to recycle washers and driers that I was removing from my tenement house in Woonsocket. I called ahead and asked how much Heavy Metal was paying for something like that. They told me $.06/lb. I was driving by a couple weeks later and stopped in to verify they would be able to take them all that day (there were 8 total). I found a few employees in the parking area looking at an old car. Immediately they all looked at me like I was bothering them. I told the man who approached me that I was looking to bring the washer and driers by that day and wanted to make sure they would be able to take them. He then told me that they "won't take stuff like that from the public because the market is crashing". This was on 7/12/22. I said I was just told they would pay $.06/lb a couple weeks ago? He then told me "its now $.02 or $.03/lb. Either keep them hanging around for 6 months or take the $.03/lb like everybody else". Well, I didnt bring them my scrap metal. I brought it to Berger in Pawtucket where I was treated professionally and with respect. Turns out they pay more $$ too!
Prices were consistent with what I was told on phone and the shop is extremely clean. They will have you in and out very quickly. Great place to do business

Great service .I have used their dumpster service several times without any problems . Louie and his staff are excellent people to do business with . Courteous , on time delivery and removal of dumpster. Will use their service again Great price!
Louie helped us out tremendously over the weekend. Top dollar for all of our copper and he also helped unload the other materials and separated the metals with his staff. We will definitely be returning soon!
I had a couple of storm door that were not worth anything. The business let me get rid of them with no charge. Great experience. Would recommend to anyone to go and get rid of your metal there.
The men that work there were nothing but helpful, attentive and explained anything I had a question about. I recieved a honest call back on some items I left also. I would recommend this place. Prices honest and fair and great customer service

I am a regular scrapper. First time here, with just a (heavy-a**) washer and dryer in the back of a uhaul. I pulled on the scale and told the guy what I had. Dropped them and returnEd to the scale 450 lbs lighter, and the guy says you're all set. When I asked for compensation, he said $4, $2 each. Wouldn't tell me the price fir scrap and wouldn't give me a receipt! Then, tried to embarrass me for taking the money! Then he tried to tell me that most scrap places don't pay for washers and dryers. This guy just thinks cause I rolled in with a uhaul it's my first time scrapping metal. What a jerk and what a joke! Don't trust them at all.
