just went back to north Smithfield salvage since they reopened I’m so happy I did there new management is unbelievable they are knowledgeable,helpful & funny they make you feel like you knew each other for along time I will def be back and I’ll recommend them.
Very neat organized yard a little more expensive but worth it being able to find what you need

Not sure if something bad happened here but to my surprise it's no longer a pick and pull and as I've been told never has been, well after visiting here for years and a couple rebuilt vehicles later this place used to be a gold mine for those small hard to find parts and was always nice to walk the yard myself unrushed looking for those little items you forget you need till you see. Sad to say I will not be returning to this place anymore. After the new staff rejected my entrance the also couldn't be bothered with the small interior items I need. Such a shame to lose another scrap yard. Huge loss of income for them as well. This is 2024 and it blows
It's a little out of the way but if you can swing it, it's worth a visit - not a.pick yourself sorta place as far as I saw but that just means call ahead and just pickup when you arrive.
It's very easy to miss when driving in as the signage is set way back.
I recently purchased a differential from North Smithfield Auto Salvage, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I called ahead and was assured that the differential had been tested and was in good working condition. However, upon receiving it and inspecting it myself, I discovered that the differential was completely toast inside.
Naturally, I reached out to North Smithfield Auto Salvage to express my disappointment and seek a resolution. To my dismay, their response was dismissive, with a simple apology and no offer to rectify the situation. I had hoped for a small percentage refund, considering the additional expenses I now face to rebuild the differential.
What bothers me the most is the lack of accountability and customer service demonstrated by North Smithfield Auto Salvage. As a customer, I expected better communication and a willingness to work towards a fair resolution. Unfortunately, their response left much to be desired.
I would caution anyone considering purchasing from North Smithfield Auto Salvage to proceed with caution. It is important to thoroughly inspect any items before finalizing a purchase, as their claims of testing and quality assurance may not hold true. Furthermore, be prepared for potential disappointment and limited assistance in the event of a faulty product.
I hope that North Smithfield Auto Salvage takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to improve their customer service and quality control. As it stands, my experience has left me feeling dissatisfied and hesitant to consider future transactions with this salvage yard.
This salvage yard is so very organized. Impressive! Roland is amazing and helped me find just what I needed. He is polite, kind, and doesn't talk down to a female.

Had a good experience here. They had an ABS pump that I needed that's not very common. Great price and customer service was awesome. I will go here again.
Wow! I just got off the phone with Roland and I have to say this is the most professional “junkyard” I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Quick to answer the phone, Roland was able to answer any questions I had and their inventory system seems to be very organized unlike other used parts businesses. I inquired about a door and fender. Roland let me know that the door had 4 dings as was not in the best shape. This saved me time, other junkyards told me to come down and see for myself because they’t know.
On top of all this, the prices are way lower than other junkyard I have called. I was quoted $50 for a fender where other junkyards want $120+
They were the 6th place I called to find a radiator for my 2012 Kia Sorento and the only one who had it. Even though it was hard to find, they were very reasonable at $35. Pick up was quick and easy. I would highly recommend them.
I called North Smithfield with a large problem and frustration. Roland spent time with me, explained what others couldn’t or wouldn’t and we have turned my problem into a workable solution. I am in the automotive industry as a business. He is what every customer service person should be. A+ rating from me.
Helpful person at the front. I was there for a window regulator, guys were helpful on the phone, when I got there, I noticed a piece on the regulator was broken. Guy was understanding, and apologetic about it and immediatelly agreed, instead of pushing the part. Honest!

First and foremost I want to say that Roland the owner is an amazing straightforward and honest man. There's not many left in the world that holds the morals that this man does. My first experience was on the rocky side but working in this business myself I understand some delays. And it was an older vehicle that wasn't necessarily supposed to be on there.also being on different sides of the country. But by the end of it with Roland's hope not only did I get everything that I needed and desired, but he has flipped a 180 on my first experience. These guys are super helpful and rolling does run a tight ship to keep the morals he stands for in play. I will 100% be coming back for other parts. I appreciate everything that North Smithfield automotive recycling did for me and I hope that they can help you in the future.
I called in the morning to ask if they had a part I needed. They said yes, but when I got there to pick it up the man at the counter asked me if I had tools. I didn't, so I left. I've been there in the past, called a few hours before and then drove there to pick up. I wasn't aware of a change to self service. It would have been nice to be told before I got there.
I traveled an hour to pick up parts. Roland and Rick dropped what they were doing to accommodate me. They were easy to deal with and helpful. I'd shop here again. Thanks, guys
I've been coming here for 14 years now. These guys have always bailed me out of jams. Alternators, starters, rear ends, fenders, struts, tires, rims, you name it. Roland always knows what he has on the shelf. They have the best inventory system of any yard I've been to, the prices are MORE than fair, and the best part is that everything comes out of their doors tested. I've been recommending this place to everyone for years and I'll keep recommending them for years.
great place everything is tested by roland personally so he always knows when its good or if your just diagnosing incorrect . he is the closest thing to a wizard you will ever find in the recycled parts business. his team of experts will amaze and boggle your mind at the same time. great place great people
Checked their inventory on their website &called to confirm. The gentleman who runs the front (feel bad I forgot to ask his name!)was very polite &easy to understand. I went to their location &was greeted warmly by the same gentleman. We had a pleasant chat while waiting for the boys in the back to grab my part. Didn't wait more than 5mins. Absolutely recommend this auto salvage yard! It was my 1st time there but won't be my last!
I drove all the way from Boston 2 weeks ago to find a couple pieces for my car. The guy at the front desk was very nice to me. We end up buying more stuff and saved a lot of money. the place was very organized. we went to 4 junk yards and we was very pleased with the help and how quick everything was done for us. will definitely recommend this place to friends. 5 star in my book. I needed a new rim for my car and they had it in stock. I got there after closing time but Ron still got me what I needed. One of the friendliest people i have ever encountered. If you need a part for your car try them first you won't be sorry. Thank you for a great experience!!
If I could leave 0 stars to this place I would, I'm a professional business owner and this is by FAR the worst customer service I've ever received, the guy on the front desk was extremely arrogant and sarcastic in every single sentence that would come out of his mouth, not matter how much of a good deal you can find at this place, I'm definitely never buying a part from them again, such a shame because they have good prices, but the arrogant and racist treatment i received it's not worth it. I hope the owner of this place talks to his employee or I won't be the only customer he'll loose.

Roland and his guys are awesome. This is the third time they have saved my ass with a part I desperately needed to fix my grandmother's old 95 Chevy lumina. Everytime I have come in the wait has always been short and they have or explain everything I need in case they do not have it. Very knowledgeable to the point I drive in from out of state just to go to these guys. Thanks again I know I'll be there again either for myself or a friend.
Great customer service and website. This is not your ordinary salvage yard. Their online inventory system actually shows pictures of what they have in stock. I live out of state, so I had to rely on the website pictures to choose my items. Roland sent exactly what I saw on the site, so there were no surprises in the condition of the parts I received. He is pleasant and helpful on the phone, unlike all the other salvage yards I've talked to. Great prices, too. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!
