I met Ronnie Jr. under unfortunate circumstances — I’d just been in a car accident and needed my vehicle towed. With everything going on, he actually took the time to talk to me and check that I was alright. Nothing over the top, just a guy making sure a stranger was okay.
That didn’t stop on day one either. Sunday morning after the accident, he came in and opened the lot so I could grab my stuff out of the car. Then later that week, when I needed to get him my key fob, he showed up after hours to meet me. Didn’t have to do either one.
That’s just what good people do. When you’re dealing with a bad situation, you remember who showed up for you and Ronnie Jr. did.
I've been taking my scrap to Allen's for years, because they are close to us & as a small business owner, I personally try to support local businesses. Until today, I really haven't had any major issues with our dealings. Unfortunately, that was not the case today.
After waiting at the top scales, for ~5 to 10 minutes, while their employee returned from "filling up a forklift with fuel", he then miss-recorded the scrap weights on two of my items, by over estimating the weight of my containers. Sadly, this issue has happened to me here in the past; however, when I've questioned their staff during those visits, then they always seemingly begrudgingly weighed my empty containers & ultimately recorded the correct scrap weights on my slip.
I understand mistakes happen, so generally I try to give people the benefit of the doubt to correct their mistake. Unfortunately, today when I twice questioned the discrepancies, with the staff at the payment desk, then they simply looked at me & offered no resolution to my issue / complaints, so I left disgusted.
Again, I have always chose to use Allen's because they were close to us & until now have always treated me fair. If I am going to be purposely scammed out of pocket change on scrap & not have my concerns addressed / remedied, then I will take my business elsewhere, even if that means it is less convenient.
Get your act together Allen's & please treat your customers fairly!
Got there at 350 and talk to the guys face to face and was told they were closed and got the doors shut in my face went in and talked to the lady inside and got told oh we close at 345 so then youre posted hours of operation are wrong got it
