If I could give 10 stars I would. I'm on the road often which leaves my wife at home with our kids. While I was gone, I got a call that the brakes were making a noise on our 2019 Crosstrek. I had my wife make a post on Facebook to see who could get us in quickly as we needed the car for the weekend and my regular shop wasn't available for another week. Steve was one of the first to reach out to us and gave us an amazing deal. I was able to take my car in the SAME MORNING (roughly an hour after seeing his message,) and get 4 new pads and rotors put on. I was in and out of the shop in 45 minutes with a car that was now again roadworthy. I was extremely impressed. They saved me a large amount of money and even more time. While the great deal was what brought me in first, it's definitely the service that will bring me back again and again. Steve and Tanner are honest men and will make sure that you get taken care of properly. The shop itself is very clean and well maintained. Truthfully one of the best experiences I have ever had with a mechanic.

Great service! They communicated very well! Super nice!! Texted me all the details on my car so I could physically see it! They let my car sit in a secure spot until I was able to grab it.

I had my motor blow up on me and Steve was able to install a new one. He kept me up to date every step of the way. He made me feel welcome and wanted to share information with me so I could learn too. His communication is amazing. He knows what he’s doing. I would 100% recommend him to anyone I know!!

My husband was changing our brakes and noticed one of the wheel bearings was horrible! The whole wheel could wiggle. Of course it was a Friday night… Steve’s Auto was able to get us in bright and early on a Saturday morning! Had it fixed within an hour and a half and was affordable! Will definitely be going back for any future needs!

So after deciding to repair my trucks cam phasers instead of trading my truck in, I needed a place to take it and trust. A friend uses Steve’s and recommended them, so I did. Absolute best choice, they did an amazing and professional job!! My truck hasn’t been this quiet for a while, and also took care of other problems that were repaired by another shop. Above and beyond and stand bye their work!! I would definitely recommend them and they will now be working on all of vehicles from this point forward!!

My best friends dad is a long time customer of theirs and I was in an unexpected bind and just stopped there on a whim. They got me hooked right up no wait time at all let my 2 little kids come play in the waiting room and got us right back on the road and rolling for a great and reasonable price. A lot of times I fear mechanics because I’m a single mother and they can tell I don’t know anything about cars! But they explained everything to me so I understood and will most definitely be back when I need more Autobody work!!! Thanks guys for everything!! And their dog was the cutest friendliest dog that made our wait fun!!

I had an issue with my oil cooler lines. Steves Auto and truck repair got me in and out the same day without hesitation. They did a fantastic job, we’re very professional and and invited me back into the garage so I could see the old part and what the problem was. On top of all of that, they washed my truck, including the undercarriage to get off all the oil that sprayed everywhere. My family was 1,000 miles from home when our vehicle broke down in Latrobe. In just 3 days, Steve's Auto completed major engine repair and we made it home with no further trouble, and with better gas mileage than we've gotten in a long time. They asked our permission before tearing into the engine, showed us the damaged parts and made sure we understood the problem. They have good relationships with local salvage businesses and so were able to find a good replacement cylinder head quickly and at low cost. They also discovered a rat's nest and chewed injector wires that may or may not have been related to the main problem! This was also fixed and they recommended a repellent to keep rodents away in the future. Steve's Auto took care of us every step of the way, communicating with us often, and even giving us a ride to a car rental company. To sum up, they took care of our car AND us, too!

My husband and I are very thankful for all the work Steve's auto has done on our vehicles! They are fair in price and always transparent with costs. They have gotten us in on short notice when we were in a pinch and I'm always impressed with their turnaround times! We would recommend Steve's auto to any of our friends/family.

First the price was $1600 to $1800 turned out to be $2200. And didn't even do what we talked about. Didn't do what we talked about at all.told Steve I was taking some trips this summer and did not want to have to take dog box off unless it was apsuluty nessasary. Didn't put in the parts I had already bought. Talked to me like I had no knowledge about these parts that I researched and wanted installed in my van. Said I will not install these parts. Opinions I will consider but you can't impose your opinion on somebody's vehicle. Was smelling oil burning after repair. Went to Steve and said I'm smelling oil. He said in a very unfriendly manner dosen't mean it's something we did. Now have to take somewhere else. Won't go back

I found Steve's online after moving in from out of state. Called and described the issue with the diesel engine on my 22-year-old vehicle. I hadn't owned the vehicle too long and just knew it was neglected. He told me he thought glow plugs would be the culprit. He took my truck the next day, called with a quote after looking it over and we moved ahead with the fix. New glow plugs did the trick. He also found and repaired some busted windshield washer parts, changed a gummy fuel filter, changed the oil and located a cover for my engine fuse panel that never came equipped when I bought the truck. He had the keys back to me the same week. He was upfront about the costs, and the truck is running right as rain. No more shuddering or check engine light. That was a few months ago. After moving to Latrobe from DC, we were so relieved to find a competent mechanic who charges fair prices. When the dealership tried to charge us more than 3,000 bucks to meet PA inspection, Steve cut that price massively. He won’t do repairs you didn’t ask for and charge you later, but he will give your car a thorough checkup and let you know if there’s anything you should be aware of. Steve Sr and Steve Jr. make it easy to make an appointment and get your work done as quickly as possible. We’ve been extremely satisfied by Steve’s and highly recommend this shop.

Both Steve and Steve jr. we're extremely knowledgeable and professional. As soon as I met them I knew I would never have to look for another mechanic. They are fair in price and I have never trusted a mechanic like I do Steve ! All around a great experience.

This was probably one of the best auto repair experiences I’ve had. My vehicle was dropped off late Saturday night. Much to my surprise I woke up Sunday morning with a call telling me my vehicle was fixed. Steve showed me the bad part and was very kind and helpful. The prices where fair and the service was great. Steve’s was one of the only shops available to work on my 2011 Audi A4. My water pump went out. It was towed and finished within 24 hours and it really didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Great service and great people. I will go back for any needs

I would recommend Steve’s auto and truck repair to everyone. They are a one stop shop that is able to help you with all your needs. They helped me get my car inspected the same day after I found out my car inspection just expired. They are very knowledgeable on all cars and years. They even walked me through their whole process explaining everything. Both Steve senior and Steve junior are knowledgeable and will answer all your questions in great detail. Would highly recommend them, they are a high quality shop with the family owned customer service.

Steve has always been a pleasure to work with. His extensive experience sets him apart from other private mechanics. For the longest time no one would work on my VW accept for the dealer. I was always told it was too much trouble to diagnose from other garages. Not for Steve, in fact, he wasn't afraid of dealing with my car. In the past he has changed the timing belt and most recently replaced the thermostat hosing that was cracked and leaking coolant. He always shows you the worn-out part too so you can see the cause of the problem. Even though I do not live close to Latrobe he is worth the time to take my car there to get it done right.
