After having my truck serviced with Hackett & Sons an equipment malfunction occurred that resulted in damage to the vehicle. Upon contacting them, a tow truck was dispatched to retrieve the truck and parts were ordered for the required repairs. The experience could have been worse, fortunately Hackett & Son stood behind their work.
Great place to do business. The salesmen exhibited professionalism and transparency throughout the entire process. Very happy with my purchase of a clean, lightly used, 2009 Volvo. The auto technician is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic regarding foreign cars. I am excited to work with Hackett & Sons furthermore. Can’t miss them on PA 49 on your way to Elkland. Easy drive on I 99 to PA 49. I think they are about halfway to Elkland. Parts is parts and every shop needs parts!
I have never purchased a vehicle here. But I have had numerous vehicles in the shop for minor and major repairs. This is a great shop ran by friendly people who really know vehicles. They always know me by name and never do any work without speaking to me first to go over cost and explain what's going on.
Sold us an 08 jeep liberty, drive shaft broke 2 weeks after buying, then rotors went in out in it and has cost me $1500 so far to fix. Now the jeep has been sitting in my driveway for over a month because the ECU blew which is going to be another $1000 in tows, parts and labor when the jeep originally cost $4000 which was already a high bluebook value for the vehicle. Dont buy here, they will shaft you with junk and refuse to help cover anything.
Great service by a family owned and operated dealership and garage. Nice waiting area with coffee and some conversation with the owners. You truely are treated like one of the family when you are here. They are a full service station, and an inspection station. Very scenic location, straight across from cowaneskee lake.
Convienantly located if you happen to need a tire patched or something small like that, I only have three stars because a while back I had stopped in to look at a couple of vehicles they had on the lot. One car that they had I had actually owned one just like a year or so prior so I was interested in buying it because I really liked the one I had prior, anyway I got to talking to one of the employees there (not salesmen, because I didn't and won't buy anything there) and I talked to them about how much they wanted for the car, well I did my research on it and they where very far away from the realistic price of the vehicle and would not come of the price one bit even after I had pointed out how far away from actual value they where. Over all horrible experience trying to purchase a car from them, however like I said convienant location if you're in the area and happen to need something get minor take care of.
I had the best experience buying my car from them. Such a warm and inviting atmosphere, truly a family run business! There were no high pressure salesmen pushing me to make a purchase. They were very helpful when I presented a concern about something with the car I was interested in Anderson they attended to it right away. I am extremely pleased with the way I was treated and how smooth the transaction of purchasing my car was. I highly recommend you go check them out when looking to buy a vehicle.
I'm a longtime friend and customer- because the Hackett crew is one of the kindest and most easy-going to deal with. I've bought 4 vehicles from them and been pleased with each. They're a busy small-town service shop, but will often work to squeeze in an emergency. They generally try to keep people happy.
Sold me a piece of junk wouldn't stand by their product played games getting it fixed the ground down sensors to bypass safety codes ended up costing me a fortune and it's still jacked up in need of a 1000 dollar fuel pump haven't even had it a year shiesters I would not recommend this business for anyone people were extremely rude to me and my wife when we tried to get it fixed on the 30 day warentee and all they did was bs patch it so they wouldn't have to actually fix anything those people can rot in hell not a good business at all they will rip you off without shame or guilt garbage people and garbage business
This is my second car from Hackett and I have never I had a problem with either
One I also I have several family members that have gotten cars from them and haven't had problems at all
