We broke down in the late evening of 1/7/26 and with the area not having many transportation services such as Lyft, Uber, or Taxi services, it was extremely difficult to navigate the area to find resolution to our problem. The next day we called ahead about a battery then went in to see a very friendly and helpful silver bearded gentleman about purchasing said battery (the problem we thought we were having). He had the battery pulled and ready when we arrived on foot. He went over and above and gave us a ride with the battery to where our truck was parked. He told us to get it installed and if we had any issues to call him and he'd see how he could help. We installed the battery, and found that it was not the issue. We called him and he rode back over to to see how he could help, using scan tools, etc. This AGAIN, was over and above and very much appreciated! So friendly, so professional and talking to him felt like talking to an old friend. Thank you for making this nightmare feel less like a nightmare! We ultimately had to have our truck towed back home 3 hours away the next day.

Very satisfied. My tires were ordered and installed within 24 hours. I waited a hour for them to be installed. Very happy with the service they provided.

Had a roadside emergency on the highway with a flat tire in a rental car around 1 a.m. The car alerted me in time, which allowed me to safely exit the highway and pull into his lot instead of being stuck on the shoulder overnight. Since it was after hours, I waited until the shop opened in the morning. As soon as he opened, he took me in right away. He handled the paperwork with the rental company and already had a replacement tire on site. I was in and out in under an hour. Excellent, stress-free service. If I ever get stranded in the area again, I will definitely come back.

I was stranded in Great Bend on Interstate 81, driving home from a work trip. As soon as I arrived with the tow truck and my flat tire, the manager and team was quick to help get my car evaluated and new tires put on. Even going the extra mile to get the right tires from offsite. And all in an astonishing hour to get me back on my way. I could be more appreciative of the team!

On my way from upstate New York to Baltimore I hit a piece of debris in the perpetual construction zone and minefield that is interstate 81. I called John at Mr. tire, had the car towed there, and they worked to get me back on the road. John is my new best friend! Sadly, I learned that one must replace all four tires on an all-wheel-drive vehicle. But John made that as painless as possible.

I wanted to inform you that my car experienced a flat tire around 10:15 PM and is currently immobilized on the highway. I have contacted a towing company, and they will be delivering the vehicle to your location tonight. The car will remain at your premises overnight. I will come by in the morning to pick it up. Went to get a car inspected. Guy tells me he was the one who inspected the car the last time. Ok awesome. The guy comes out and says I have to take the window tint off or it will fail inspection. I told him the tint has been on since he inspected the last time. His answer is they are cracking down on them now so I have to pay 50$ for them to peal the tint off or he will fail it and I will have to pay for a failed car inspection. Sounds kinda shady.

On Monday Feb 17th my husband and I left from upstate ny heading to Ocean city MD for our honeymoon at5 am. Coming into PA it started snow squalling and had difficulties driving and just before the Hallstead/GreatBend exit we hit a pot hole hard and it popped our time. It was 630 in the morning. We got to the plaza and in the snow and cold put on the donut. We drove to mr tire at 650 in the morning planning on waiting until they opened. John was outside shoveling and asked us what happened. Thankfully he had a tire and helped us in our hour of need and was an absolute lifesaver. He was so sweet, professional and just absolutely amazing. Thank you so much John for helping us out first thing in the morning but making us laugh and have a memorable start to our honeymoon. John was great to deal with. He got me the best possible deal for some new all season tires. On top of that he was able to do the installation the day I called within an hour!

I bought my car yesterday 0/10/25 from NY, today 01/11/25 I went to this place for PA inspection and when they give me my car, the car have spot on the windshield. I told Mr. Karl I would like to know what hit my car. He ask the tech Jason and apparently nothing. I will call corporate to see what they are going to do about my car. This is no fair.

When my car brakes suddenly started making the most unusual noises during a road trip all the way from Canada with our three children , I immediately looked up the closest mechanic. Karl and the rest of the team were extremely helpful, and very very warm and friendly. The car was repaired immediately. We were back on the road in less than an hour. Thank you so much to Karl and everyone else at Mr. Tire who helped us today.

I. Want to give the greatest appreciation to John Ball and all his co-workers. They did an outstanding job on my wife's mail carwhich. We have trouble all the time with having it aligned. And these folks did it with the smile and the most kindest people ever I just want to thank them for their service. Thank you guys.

Like one in five cars that drive on I-81 with low-profile tires during the delightful construction project and its crater-sized potholes, we got a flat. John bent over backwards to provide different options in real time over the phone, then quickly verified the integrity of the rim when we got to his shop, and then ordered the OEM-recommended tire for delivery the next morning. He went above and beyond and trying to help us out with rental car options, local hotels, etc. He also tolerated some pretty poor decisions I was making while I was still in "fight or flight" mode with various external pressures. He's going to call us as soon as the tire is in, so we can get on our way and get home. He did everything he could to find solutions at each step of the way. This is what small businesses do that you won't necessarily get at larger chains.

First off what a great experience on the phone with both employees Carl and John. Very professional and caring to help. My cousin got a flat tire in Roscoe New York and these gentleman were the closest shop that could get a tire the same day and get it done for her on a late Friday. Thank you so much guys!

We blew a tire on the highway on the tail end of a 10 day car trip and on the way to a much needed stop at a great wolf lodge water park. While waiting for our AAA tow, we called Mr Tire and they told us our tow comp. was great, they had tires for our car, someone to put them on and time to do it so not to worry! Yeah! When we got there, they gave us great options but sadly told us it would take 60-90 mins. Sadly, we wouldn’t make the water park before it closed. We went and checked out the fireworks across the street and started to decide on dinner when they announced our car was done! What?!!!?! Wow!!! So fast! These poor parents were SO thankful and while we didn’t make it in time, their thoughtfulness to our son and fast work on getting us back on the road did make us smile the WHOLE way there!! Thanks Mr. Tire!

John saved our car with excellent service!! On an 8 hour road trip, our van’s alternator suddenly broke down. John went above and beyond — squeezing us in to get us back on the road in just 2.5h, even though he had to get the parts from 30 mins away. He even tested the car five times and drove around to make sure it was working again.

I brought my car in due to low electrical power. The opening manager early in the morning tried to tell me that I needed to replace the alternator and battery. He tried to charge me $950 for that. I figured he might have been trying to take advantage of me since I wasn't local and was in the middle of a long trip. Turns out I was right. I took up up the road to Marty's and they checked everything right in front of me and both the alternator and battery were perfectly fine. The battery terminals just had some corrosion leading to intermittent energy. The con artist at Mr. Tire told me my alternator was only giving out 12V when in fact it was giving out 13.5 and did not need replacement. Stay away from Mr. Tire and seek out honest businesses!

Fantastic. Helpful, Honest, and all-around good people. My car broke down on 81S and was towed to Mr. Tire in Great Bend, PA. I was 2 hours from home and 2 1/2 hours from my destination. I was stranded with my VERY large dog, what a nightmare. John assessed my situation and was honest, helpful, and went out of his way to help me and Mabel. I can't say enough good things about Mr. Tire in Great Bend. Thank you!!!

Don’t go here if you need any help. My wife pulled in with a soft tire in one side and a bulge in the other side tire. Tire Guy standing outside shooting the breeze with another guy told her he couldn’t help her now, or until 4 days later after Christmas . Just let an older woman , alone, drive away from a tire shop with 2 problem tires . It was Friday December 22 around 450 . Open till 7. Wonder why they are open? It’s not to provide customer service , help people or sell tires .

I see a lot of mixed reviews here but I can only share my experience with this Mr. Tire center in Great Bend, PA and Mr. John Ball specifically . About a month ago, my son was coming home from college in upstate NY when his car broke down. I was a 4.5 hour drive away and couldn't readily get up there to assist. He had his vehicle towed to Mr. Tire (which honestly, I was skeptical about given this is a tire center, not a garage that typically works on engine problems). I hit the road the next morning to help out my son and was in communication with John along the way. He diagnosed that the AC compressor failed which "locked up" and was preventing critical belts to turn which power other important engine components. He advised that he would have to order the new AC compressor from Syracuse but felt like it could come in on time and he could complete the job by the time I arrived 4.5 hours later. He indeed did complete the job and the car was ready when I arrived to pick up my son from the hotel where he was staying and escort him home. Insanely enough, on our drive home from Great Bend (in the dark), my son and I (along with 12 other vehicles), ran over massive deep sections cut out of highway 81 which blew out many tires and bent many rims. Yes, this was a nightmare trip. The SHA failed to fill them back in during construction and opened up the highway resulting in a 14-car graveyard on the side of the highway that night. We mounted the tiny donut spares and were able to get the vehicles over to John, the next morning. Sure enough, he set us up with new tires and we were on our way. This Mr. Tire was the HERO of this crazy story. I will probably never find myself in Great Bend again, but in my humble opinion, these guys are rock stars!

I was heading home to Rochester area from a visit to Lehigh Valley when my tire went flat. I was able to get tire off and donut on but knew I needed more than just the donut to get home on since I still had 3 hrs to go. I found Mr. Tire. The gentleman was willing to look over my tire to see if it was salvageable. It wasn't. He was able to quote me an all season pair for less than what I spend typically. I knew I was in need of new back tires anyways for winter. In an hour I was back on road. Great service! Great price! Thank you so much!

We had a flat tire on Route 81 a couple of miles from this service center. After getting the temporary tire on we pulled in to this place. Service was prompt and Jeff at the desk and the other technicians were friendly and helpful. We were in and out within 30 minutes getting a new tire installed. I also agree with the previous comment that the accessibility of the place from the highway was great. They are also pet friendly and allowed our puppy Max to go in and wait in their waiting room. Keep up the good work and you deserve 5 Stars and more. We are very grateful for your awesome service. Our #roadtripblues turned pleasant
