Great view, though not breathtaking. Limited parking. The drive up there is on an unmade single track road. Be prepared for inching past other motorists. There is a basic restroom.
Thanks to Google maps I stumbled on this beautiful place. I hiked up with my dogs on a Saturday in fall. It was not very crowded but the view was great.
Wow! What a breathtaking spot! If you're visiting World's End State Park, this is an absolute must see spot. The views from the canyon Vista are unlike anything you've seen before. It's also a great place to come multiple times in every season. The fall is especially beautiful when all the leaves are changing. It can be tricky to get to in the winter time if there's snow on the ground, but if you can make it up there in winter, the snow on the mountains is a beautiful sight. There are trails nearby too. Also, it's a great place to bird watch and see hawks and other birds soar around the canyon. If you're lucky, you'll see a bald eagle.
2 mi dive up the mountain on a well maintained but narrow dirt road. Parking is limited on top and there is a compost toilet there. You can also hike to this from the main office. That is a 3-mile hike and about a 1400' climb. It is the postcard view of the park and creek.
This scenic overlook is one of two at Worlds End State Park. It's not as well-marked as the other one (High Knob Vista), and the ride there is a rough dirt & stone road. It's nice for a couple of minutes and a photo. If you have a picnic lunch, you can sit at the picnic table with a nice view. Be aware that there are several steps down to the overlook, so it's not really accessible to a wheelchair.
I loved it! You can drive about two miles up to the overlook. Parking is available as well as restrooms. It was beautiful to say the least, and there’s a rock garden across from it! The drive up and down is fun too, but be prepared to drive through the woods. It’s not really a road but is flat enough to be considered one. Just take your time and enjoy the view!
One of the most beautiful views in all of Pennsylvania. Plenty of parking at this trailhead and an incredible vista overview. Trails head out in several directions all over World's End State Park, especially to the east along the park.
