This was one of the best used car sales I've ever experienced. Greg and Luke were honest and helpful. Some friends thought it was crazy to drive 690 miles from my home to purchase this vehicle. In another state, but I felt the Varners were upfront and honest with me about the vehicle, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. It drove perfectly all the way back home. I would purchase a vehicle from them again.
They were very courteous. Was able to give me information that I asked. I also had an issue with my car and they fixed it with no problem. I will highly recommend them.

I bought a 2016 Kia Soul plus from them several months ago. About two months in the engine blew which the owner did help out some with to cover a new one. This has by far been the least reliable vehicle I've ever had. Im currently driving my grandmother's car again because the Kia again broke down on me on Scalp Avenue two weeks ago. We thought we would have a reliable vehicle but all it is a money pit that i can't afford to keep fixing. Now its causing trouble between my family and myself because I constantly have to use everyone else's car. This vehicle has been down more times than not and in fact I'm more used to driving my grandma's than my own. Save yourself money and aggravation and find a vehicle elsewhere. Now I'm stuck paying over 8 grand left on a vehicle that doesn't even run.
I don’t like your response to my review! Accusing me of ruining an engine on a piece of crap Jeep! It’s not my fault that it was a piece of crap, and the engine was not that hot! As far as letting us know it was wrecked after closing…..it’s kinda late then! You should tell people everything before they even test drive! I’ve heard a lot of bad things about this place in the last several years, although my dad bought a 79 F150 from you around 1995? It was great it ran forever! But lately you’ve been ripping people off!
No, you received a 1 star for how rudely we were treated when we made that offer. The fair market value is well below your asking price and the condition of the bed was questionable.
Your need to post that update shows how petty you are and speaks volumes about your character. Thanks for displaying it publicly. I see the other bad reviews and your responses to them reinforce that.
I recently bought a 2012 Honda Civic from Varners a few months ago. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the vehicle cosmetically, interior, and the overall mechanical functionality. Would recommend to others without question.
We bought a 2018 Subaru Legacy about 8 months ago and the car gas been good except it needed all new seats. They lied and said that only 1 seat was repaired and actually all 4 seats were repaired and they did an awful job at it. They said that we could meet them at dusk so we couldn't see how bad the actual seats were. I wouldn't buy I car from them, even if it was 20k below retail. Con artists. Watch out! Not to mention the whole radio needed replaced for $1300 and they said they wouldn't accommodate for that! Absolutely would not buy from them ever again.
We have purchased many vehicles over the last ten years from Varner’s and they have always sold us good quality cars, trucks and SUVs. They go above and beyond with their service and even have kept us in mind when we were looking for a certain model for our young new drivers. I have recommended them to many friends and family. We wouldn't think of going elsewhere. They are honest, fair, and go the extra mile for their customers.

I bought this car from varners and they spray painted underneath it to cover the rust and they also painted the body to cover the rust also my rotors were so bad one of them were missing the lip of the rotor as you can see in the picture i also just spoke to someone not to long ago and they said that they bought a car there and a week later her motor blew up i do not recommend to buy a car from here at all i was also not told about all the problems with it i asked if there was anything wrong with it and they told me there was nothing wrong with it and it turns out there was stuff wrong with it i wouldve never bought it if i knew about all the problems it has and i did tell them about the problems and they didn't even seem to care and that was not to long ago before I bought the car and it was only only like 5 and a half months not a year

Spoke with Greg and dealt personally with Luke. The car was put on hold for me since I was traveling from Baltimore. The car was excellent, the pricing was good and everyone involved friendly and professional. I drove the car back home with absolutely no problems. And, they had a very cute Bernese puppy in the office for extra points.
I bought a 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan almost a year ago. Varners was so helpful, and got me better financing rates than my own bank offered me. They worked with me from start to finish. And I just had my car inspected and the mechanic told me it’s in great shape. Very trustworthy people! If I need another car in the future I will always check their inventory first! A couple months ago my daughter was looking at a jeep( which was a mistake! I told her to stick to Ford). Anyways she took it on a test ride and it had a hard time just going 60mph! Well we didn’t even make it to the parking lot and it just quit running and wouldn’t start! They tried blaming us for having it in manual mode( which we did not! And if it would have been it should of had a limiter like my Fords!) Jeeps are known for not being dependable! I don’t like being blamed for something, that we did not do! Second of all, I found out it was wrecked and they never told us! I found out for myself! One fender said Chrysler on the top, the other fender said something else, it was after market! I don’t trust them now! My daughter bought a nice Lincoln from another dealer! My dad bought a 79 F150 years ago from them and it was great! We never had a problem with it!it was a beast! So they did sale my dad a good vehicle years ago!! Then again it was a Ford! ( thanks Ford motor co.)
If I could give less then one star I would. I went in Wednesday to see the car was told the guy was currently at the bank for it so I said if it falls out let me know we’ll Thursday I called to check cause they did not take my information to call me, they said it was available so I went racing down to be pretty muched pushed away told my trade in doesn’t have eye appeal and that I’m better off to hold onto it til it’s paid off even though I have theee kids that do not fit in it. I let them know we will be leaving to call the bank to get a loan they did not hold for me like they did for the other gentleman when I called after I got my loan for the vehicle they said it has been sold. Will never give my money or attention to this place again.
I leave this review after purchasing my 3rd vehicle since 2016 from the Varner auto sales family. My wife's 2015 Ford Fiesta was our first purchase, they took great care of us and sold us a great reliable car that we still have and use daily. I bought a clean, low mileage 2012 Volkswagen Tdi Jetta. Were talking 6 speed manual, no rust. Just amazing. The car was an extremely amazing car until I got into a little incident with a deer that totaled the car. Recently I found a beautiful 2010 Volkswagen gti, 6 speed 2.0t, from Florida with extremely low mileage, great price and treated me great and even hooked me up with some new shoes for the ol girl too. I greatly appreciate this people make the car purchasing an easy and comfortable time. I will continue to purchase more if need be from them as long as I can because they never seem to disappoint.
My mother recently purchased a VW Passat from Varners. We drove from WV to get the car and drove it home. 2 days later I smelled gasoline in her home. I called the dealership to let them know and they told me to bring it back and they would fix it. Within a half hour they had diagnosed the problem and ordered the o rings to repair the vehicle. They not only replaced the broken one but also the other 3. I am very impressed with their true customer service and would absolutely buy another car there in the future.
Do not buy anything from these crooks. I called to tell them I was buying a car I saw on their website, had cash in hand and I would be there to pick up in 2 days. I had to travel 5 hours and get a day off work. They called me and sold it out from under me.
Do yourselves a favor and don't deal with these shady individuals.
See their response, now for the truth. Funny, that's exactly what I did. There were at least 6 phone conversations with you. You told me to bring cash, I said no problem as I was going to the bank on Thursday to pick it up. We even discussed getting the cash from the bank because of Covid.
Plain and simple truth... You are liars and I wouldn't buy a pencil from your establishment.
If I could leave a zero star rating I would. Not only are the employees rude, but they do not honor “holds” or purchase agreements. Unless you are walking on the lot with a check in your hand, they will turn around and sell the car and will not inform you that they did so.
Is a purchase agreement for a car legally binding?
I received a purchase agreement from them (signed by the owner/seller) to send to my bank so that my loan check may be released. Since my bank is across the state from me, the check needed to be mailed so I phoned the dealership to let them know it would take a little and asked if they had any issues holding the car. They said no, and said that I should mail them a check for $50 to ensure the hold. I said okay and that the check would be in the mail the next day (Thursday). Today (Wednesday), I got all the paperwork for the loan notarized and when I called the dealership to let them know the check would be mailed out soon they notified me they sold the vehicle on Saturday because they “didn’t hear from me”. They said because they did not receive the check within 2 days, they sold the car. They never said it needed to arrive within a certain time or that they would only hold the car for so long. Not only this, but while I was trying to explain why what they did was wrong they hung up on me. Horrible business.
*note: they said they mailed the check back to me but I have not received it yet. I will be looking to take legal action if possible.*
Good place if your looking for a new used car. They always have very low miles. Excellent condition. And carfax reports. Prices are usually at fair market value as well. My mother just got 2015 Nissan Rogue S with 33k miles for $14k.
Earlier this month my husband and I purchased a car from these folks. We drove from Fairmont WV and it was worth every mile. I can't speak highly enough of the Varners. Selection, price and service cannot be beat! Five stars just aren't enough...We give 'em six!!!
Great selection of mid-mileage cars at reasonable prices. Incredible customer service, and family atmosphere. Worth the drive from Pittsburgh to get a good, clean car at a fair price, without the ickyness of most used car lots I visited the past few weeks. I'll definitely be recommending Varner's when I'm asked about buying a car.
This is a great family run dealership. Great variety, low pressure, no BS. The cars on the lot are all good quality vehicles that you can tell were hand picked by the owners who have many years of experience. This was one of the best car buying experiences that I have ever had. I would definitely recommend this dealership.

Love Varner's ! My family has probably bought 7-8 cars there in the last 15 years . Most of inventory is low-mileage lease returns , and the Varner brothers do a great job making sure the cars are CarFaxed , clean and up- to-date on inspections and maintenance . Never had a complaint with any of their cars in all these years .
