I called today to see if they had an appointment, and the woman who answered the phone was so awful and rude. She seemed uncomfortable with my English or when she realized I'm Hispanic. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, If you are Hispanic, avoid this place 🤨
I've been taking our cars here for years. Always great, friendly service. Never had any sort of issue with them. Always reasonable shop rates too. I saw a one star post saying "I took my car to the the shop in Treemont" - West End Automotive is in Kulpmont, don't be fooled.
Would not recommend this shop. Went to the shop in Tremont to have my truck diagnosed for an issue I was having . Was quoted 2 hrs . They called me and told me they looked at my truck and that I had 2 bad injectors . I decided sure go ahead and replace the injectors if they are bad . The next day they call me and tell me that they had an additional 2 hrs worth of diagnostic into the truck that they didn’t inform me that they were going to do and that the injectors in my truck were good . Then they put a mechanic on the phone with me and he described what he thought was wrong . I asked for a quote . They quoted me 15hrs and worth of labor for a total of $1600 that’s parts and labor for a job that calls for 12hrs at most . Highly disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone . They diagnosed my truck and didn’t know what they were doing.
I was in a pinch to get a motorcycle inspected ASAP! When I called to see if he would have time I was told I could bring it right up! The inspection was through and one or two suggestions on what it would need by next season..I was in and out on the road in no time...
Top mechanic. Bobby Adams has vast knowledge from over 40 years in the business. Capable of doing all engine work 99% of the other garages won't touch. Low labor costs
Beware I took my truck here after calling them and getting a price of 115.00 to install a water pump into my vehicle. It was a straight forward job and I provided the water pump too. I took the truck to them and waited for them to call telling me they were done. About 2 hrs later I received a call from them telling me it was going to cost double the quote 250 dollars I gave permission and told them not to go any more than the 250 because I was on SS and could not afford it. Little while later I got a call telling me it was done and I could come pick it up. Great I thought it cost more than I could afford but I was happy to be getting back on the road. Well I went to pick it up and was presented with a bill for 350.00 I reminded them that I told them not to exceed the 250 limit. A women standing next to the man I was dealing with commented that she told him I was going to be trouble. Funny because I never even spoke with her. The whole ordeal was pretty straight forward with me just saying hello and dropping the truck off in the beginning. They refused to work with me in any form even though I offered my debit card numbers or a post dated check for the other 100 dollars. So I handed over my grocery money and left broke for the month. I am retired and always get the price up front so I don’t end up going without food for the month. You be the judge but I will avoid this place like the plague.
