Paul and the gang in the showroom will help you find the windows, doors, decking or assorted siding materials you need. Jim D. and the yard guys are always helping load you up and get you to work. I have been picking up materials for my contractor on a regular basis. This company has provided me with the courteous, respectful, quality, and qualified workers. One in particular stands out named Dustin. He is friendly, kind, outgoing, and strong. Well, I don't have the words to truly capture the level of professionalism, knowledge, and patience I experienced with Bill. What a gentlemen, I have ZERO knowledge in purchasing a structural beam and all that goes with it. Bill took the time to explain, he drew a diagram, and made sure I had the right stuff, i.e., hangers and nails, etc. There's so much more than just purchasing, there's measurements and calculations, instructional information, and in my case a verification with a structure engineer. I will be returning for future purchases and sharing with friends and family because of this level of personal service. Prices are reasonable. Thank you Geppert Lumber and Bill.
Claire Dillemo was very helpful with picking out a new front door. She really wanted us to pick out the right product for our needs, and did not hesitate to change to order when we changed our minds. She was flexible and helpful, and I highly recommend her services, and those of Geppert Lumber.
Chuck was helpful, delivery was on time and the guy was professional. Payment taken over phone which was very convenient but the only issue was the quality of the lumber 75 percent where crowned which when I got there to return balance I realized why, it was slim picking.

VERY disappointed in Gepperts. I grew up around the corner from them and I have family members that are regular customers. My son recently went there requesting a donation towards his Eagle Scout Project, was told to write a letter to Jimmy Geppert, and it was explained the office would review it and he’d most likely get a gift card towards the lumber he needed for the project. He was told we’d have an answer within a week or two. Well, we dropped off the letter, in person, several weeks before his project. The letter was on letterhead, with the details of the project and timelines very clearly indicated, as he was told to do. Not only did they not contribute anything whatsoever, my son never even got the courtesy of a response, saying they wouldn’t be able to help at this time. I just find that so disheartening. Needless to say, Home Depot got his business.

Great people, decent prices, but price your own consumables for rentals. These folks are great for finding specialized lumber and other supplies that you can't find at your average big box home store. I rented a floor sander from them this week and found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable and their rental prices reasonable. My only "issue" is that they charged significantly more for the sandpaper than I could have paid elsewhere. I suppose you pay for the convenience of getting everything you need at one place. Will definitely rent from them again and would recommend them to anyone.
We rented tables and chairs for my kids' joint birthday party at our home. We loved that Geppert had kid sized chairs and tables in addition to chairs and tables for adults too -- and all at such a reasonable price. The rental process was easy and delivery & pickup was seamless. Tip: If you call or go into the showroom they can actually offer delivery too, which didn't seem possible when looking online. Will 100% use them again.
A well-stocked lumber yard with a big showroom full of decking materials. They also rent a lot of stuff. The customer service people are great and knowledgeable, they will gladly help you. Much better experience compared to Home Depot and Lowe's
We purchased a new front and back door and all the hardware (door knobs, mail slot, the works. The contractor who installed the doors had other people helping him and did not supervise their work. After the doors were installed, the back door was so poorly painted that the manufacturer came out and replaced it. They also noticed the contractor did not install the doors correctly and you could see daylight under the door. The biggest concern was they did not properly seal the back door and now every time it rains, there is water on the inside of our house. They had to remove the trim from around the door as it get wet with every rain. Now we have a new door without any trim around it.
We have been trying to work with Geppert and they are very nice but come on. It has been over a month and we still have the moisture issue.
Awful rental experience! I reserved chest coolers weeks before and when i went to pick them up, I found out they were already rented out because the employee did not seem to know what the description of the item was. I was told the 5 gallon drink dispensers were clean and then discovered they were INCRUSTED with GUNK and moldy. Luckily I was able to get them cleaned out before I used them. When I dropped everything off, I politely told the clerk about my negative experience and was told I would get a call back from the rental staff. Never received a call back. NEVER WILL RENT FROM AGAIN.
Rented some tools there for a roofing project. The guy that helped me (didn't catch his name) was very thorough, walked me through how to set up, load, and use the roofing nailer. These guys seem to know their stuff and I felt much better served than I do at the big box stores. I ran out of nails on Sunday afternoon and had to go to Home Depot. The hardware guy told me they only had the nails I needed in huge case quantities (100 rolls I think) and I only needed 3. Finally, after looking for a while, I found a box of 8 rolls which I bought at almost twice the price Geppert's charged me!
