Steer clear of this company. Taken over by Casella and service went to absolute trash. No pun intended. So many missed pickups. Awful and rude customer service. No resolution, no reimbursement. Finally I received a statement that I was past due last month and immediately logged in to pay. Looking at my statements, I see they charged me again the Next day and took same amount out of my account, not once but twice. I’m now stuck with this POS company for 3 more quarters this year, because that’s how much I overpaid! Bottom line, use any other company besides them.

White tail is our trash company. They came to our house and convinced us to switch . Things were going fine until they destroyed the recycling can which happened in January. I have reached out weekly since then and it is now Feb 8th and I’m still getting the same excuse they don’t have enough people and no trash cans to give me. Horrible customer service about to switch again

First, the customer service reps are nice. But they didn’t resolve my issue which is more of a company problem. I am a customer for several years with a Monday pick up day. On Monday my neighbors were pick up and my revocable were picked up. My regular trash was not picked up. I chatted Tuesday morning with a rep and was told I was put into a 24-48 recovery mode and please allow time for pick up. By today, Thursday, I was still not picked up and chatted again telling the rep I was not picked up. She informed me that I was marked as being picked up. I told her the can I full. She then proceeds to tell me there are no trucks in the area and that I will be picked up on Monday. We are having a major snowstorm Sunday into Monday. And I’m on a private road with private plow service and not sure when I’ll be plowed to allow for trash trucks to come down the road. So between today, Thursday, and Saturday the company is not will to pay OT to someone to come and collect the trash? A service I am regularly billed for. Terrible customer service. I’m beginning to think Amazon should start doing trash collection services.

I have used Whitetail since the beginning in 2008. I had a small local guy that was taking my trash away in his pick up truck. When he died, Whitetail bought out his little business. Back then, there were never any issues. Fast forward to 2021, I moved and resumed Whitetail service. Everything was fine until, in late 2021, someone put their trashcans in front of my townhouse. The bins were never reclaimed. I started calling Whitetail to ask for removal. After months of trying to get the issue fixed, I moved the trash cans to the very back of my property so I didn't have to look at them out front. Outta sight, outta mind. Then, one day I came home and someone that lives behind me, moved them back to the front of my house. I left one voicemail at that time, for them to be picked up. I never heard back, so I left the cans sitting in my driveway. These cans were not mine as I had my own. Since the actual pick up service is fine, I let it slide, even though it was so frustrating to have all the bins in front of my house. The lack of response from Whitetail caused me to be complacent. In the very beginning of December, 2025, another bin blew into my vehicle. Again, no one came to claim it. With five bins, taking up a parking space, I was beyond fed up. I left two voicemails before Christmas asking for the three cans to be removed. No response. I stopped leaving voicemails and started waiting for an actual rep to answer. Sara told me there was no record of my calls. She told me they would put it on the schedule for the next week for the bins to be removed, but they are short drivers, blah, blah, blah. A week later, bins still at my house, I called again. Spoke to Nate, who actually had customer service skills. He started the conversation by saying,"I'm sorry you're having this problem. I understand you frustration." Which what was lacking in the first interaction this time around. However, the bins still sat in front of my car. When a snowstorm hit, the cans had to be placed in front of my car because I had nowhere to go with them. Every time I had to leave the house, I had to move bins that didn't even belong to me. I called again and Sara didn't like that I yelled at her when she had no recollection of the previous conversations, so she turned me over to the supervisor, Josh. After going round and round with him, and being made to feel like I was unreasonable, they finally came and got the three bins, and along with them took a fourth bin that was actually the bin I have been using. I called Josh and explained the situation and he said he confirmed with me the bins to taken. I had placed the three bins to be removed close to the road. MY bins were at the sidewalk, tucked up beside my car. Josh made me feel again, like I made the mistake. He said he would look into the issue, but I'm not holding my breathe. All my frustration with this mess could have been alleviated had the customer service people just spoke to me without being so condescending and without a total lack of empathy. While the trash removal itself has been satisfactory, I could manage just fine without their customer service. Although this is the only interaction I had with them, it tells me a lot because the problem never should have been mine to begin with.

For over 2 years, ever since I switched from Blosenski due to them missing weeks on end of trash pickup, I have never had an issue with Whitetail. I have put boxes, furniture, extra bags that do not fit into the bin, etc. out there and never has there been anything left behind. Until last week. Last week they left everything that wasn't in the bin behind. I put that back out again this week, and low and behold, week 2 of not picking up anything outside of the bin. This is extremely disappointing. When I contacted customer service, they told me this has been the policy since before I became a customer. Well, Whitetail, an expectation was set and that expectation hasn't been met the last 2 weeks. Guess it's time to start looking for a new trash company, unless they want to make it right and come get the, now 7, bags they left behind.

Stay away from this company! I dont think I've ever encountered a more antagonistic customer service department in my life. Literally every interaction is met with immediate attitude and condescension. I've called for 2 weeks to arrange pick up of a bulk item. 1, they never answer the phone so you're forced to leave a voice message. Might as well hang up because they must just delete messages, because you'll never get a follow up or action to your request. The men running the pick up regularly skip any item that isn't perfectly packaged into your single can - then they have a nerve to leave envelopes on the can soliciting for holiday tips. Lmao!! Good luck getting rid of yard waste, leaves, Christmas trees, sticks, etc. If it doesn't fit into your 1 can neatly, they'll just leave it. If you have a big summer BBQ, dont expect they'll pick up the 1 or 2 extra bags you'll probably have. My last bulk item that has been here now for 2 weeks (2 missed, or more accurately, ignored pick ups), I left 2 messages for pick up because they won't answer the bulk line. When I called now to discuss, I was told by one representative he couldn't help me, and he couldn't guarantee that anyone would call me back. WHAT?!! So how do I get the issue resolved? Then I called back to talk to someone else - he was extremely rude from the moment I said "hello." He was condescending and said I must have missed the message they left me previously regarding my bulk item. Funny, I never saw a call or message. More interesting, I checked my digital voice mails from Jan 1 and my call log since then - guess what? They never called or left a message. Color me shocked. Regardless, the guy was a total jerk and at no time offered any apology - rather he just brow beat me and claimed I did something wrong. Needless to say, im canceling my service and will tell anyone who will listen what a terrible company this is with probably the worst service staff I've ever encountered.

Whitetail used to be great until they were taken over by Casella. Now I seem to have frequent issues with trash not being picked up. Twice I called the office recently. The first time, no one picked up and I left my number and asked for a callback with an explanation and the time when my trash would be picked up. No one returned my call or picked up my trash the next day, so I called again. This time the recorded message said I was in a queue and, if I liked, they would call me back when it was my turn. I selected this option, but no one ever called me back. The next day, I finally spoke with someone who said my trash wasn't picked up because my road was too icy. I disputed this because I received a fuel oil delivery that day and the large,heavy fuel truck had no trouble whatsoever on my road. I asked for a credit. They refused the credit. So, I find myself stuck paying for a service I did not receive from a company that refuses to return phone calls. The price seems reasonable until you experience their service. It is a shame, this used to be a great operation but, sadly, Casella is terrible.

Don't bother using this company. Twice in last month used road conditions as reason for not picking up trash then made us wait extra week. Funny thing though picked up trash across the way on other blocks. No credits for missed service thats paid in advance. So now will call better business attorney General and will drop off my pails at entrance to there office.

I recognize working around weather and holidays is challenging, but the customer service and communication at this company has become poor. Due to the weather and the holidays, all Friday customers were told they would need to wait a full week before their next pickup (1st photos). Why Friday customers had to wait a full week instead of moving the whole schedule back a day, I don't know. Then they sent out a second email saying all pickups were moved back an additional day. So Friday is now Saturday (more than 2 weeks since our last pickup). I have to believe this poor service and communication is due to the recent acquisition by a billion dollar company from Vermont (Casella). I hope Richland Township opens this up to local, privately-competition. A family business would recognize the inconvenience this would cause to customers (especially around the holidays) and communicate effectively.

Bad customer service. Nobody answers phone. On hold forever. Left messages and nobody ever calls back. Left number in queue and no callback. Missed trash pickup after Christmas and with the wind our neighborhood looks like a dump with crap blown everywhere. Unacceptable to say the least. They better credit my bill for one week. If not I'm done with them.

I would give a 0 if I could whitetail was bought by Casella and nothing but issues. Someone took my trash can during the wind storm. I had tonput a police report. The still have yet to swap out my trash can bc whomever took my latge can left me with a small one in my neighborhood. they delay for 2 weeks to pick up trash in my neighborhood. I have no idea where to put my trash been driving to my mom's to drop off bags now because they wont be here until Saturday and haven't been here since before Christmas. I called and they still have no idea when they are bringing me a new can and have no idea where to put my garbage until Saturday, it is Tuesday now. They are rude and I am looking for a new company. I never had any issues with Whitetail. if they delayed because of weather they never let us wait a week or 2. Disgusting.

Since they were acquired, much like the other trash companies The service has declined. The communication has declined. And when you call you get an attitude. They used to come promptly for pick up, now the trash sits out in front of your house for hours. If there’s even a weather delay or any type of holiday, you just hope and pray they come and get your trash. The only thing they have going for them is the other providers are just as bad… A race to the bottom.

Whitetail has missed our pickup and will not be picking up again for over a week. The reason is due to weather conditions, however, you would think they would have a contingency plan in place for this. It was due to be picked up the day after Christmas but it will now be January 4. I understand they can't control the weather but they should have plans for situations such as this. My parents also use Whitetail and they have missed their pickup day many times. This is totally unacceptable.

Whitetail drivers often skip garbage pickup and then customer service claims to schedule a pick up and never does. But this week during the Christmas Holiday they canceled service for the whole week and are not returning any $$ to customers and offering no apology. Just terrible service!

Decent and often fixed their own issues until recently. That ended for me on 12/23/2025 and for many others much sooner. Told me no service for a week—14 days if garbage and recycle. No email, no one answers their phone and their competitors handling lots of new customers. They have a BBB F rating.

It is apparant that Whitetail does not have the infrastructure to support Friday pickups after a holiday here in Limerick and Royersford. They delayed until Saturday, then postponed for another week due to the snow Saturday morning. Meanwhile, Blosenski and Diamond were able to collect on-time instead of having customers with Christmas and upcoming New Years waste overflowing their cans. And their policy is to not pick up loose trash bags which will be impossible for customers with this delay over the holidays. Our cans are already full. I am canceling on Monday and switching to Diamond first thing tomorrow.

Been with whitetail for a few years. Never had a problem until they were sold and then had multiple drivers who didn't come every week i had to call to get my trash picked up multiple times. Recently called 3 weeks ago to stop service and they will NOT refund the difference I only used 1 month of the 3 month quarter and they told me they DO NOT prorate. Only way you would get a refund is if you moved. RIDICULOUS for what I pay I shouldn't have to call at least once a month to get my trash picked up. Will not recommend this company to anyone. Highly disappointed.

I switched to whitetail about 4 years ago & have been very happy up until lately. 2 weeks ago they told me they weren't coming bc our roads were bad due to weather which was untrue. Then today the day after Christmas I saw all my neighbors garbage cans empty at 9am, I called she told me to call back at 4. I did and now the tell me tht they will send someone Monday! This is not acceptable. Neighbors to the left & right had both trash & recycle taken so theres noway they accidentally missed me. ... I am considering going back to waste management.

Would not recommend at all. After soliciting our neighborhood multiple times and showing up at my door, I finally gave this company a chance because they were cheaper than others in the area. Big mistake. They notified me that trash pickup would be delayed a day due to a snowstorm. I confirmed this twice — once via voicemail and once by calling — yet they still came on the regular day. As a result, during Thanksgiving week, my trash was overflowing and sitting out for nothing. When I called to fix the issue, they refused to send a truck and even told me they wouldn’t pick up extra trash the following week if I wanted a refund for the pickup they missed, despite admitting it was their mistake. Completely unprofessional and not worth the hassle.

Been with Whitetail for two years and have been incredibly happy. Pickups always completed, comms on Holiday schedule changes prompt and clear, and the website to pay bills is functional (could be better but no biggie). Was concerned when they were sold that service would deteriorate, but been smooth. Bonus - the new parent company provides cards with an address for the workers so I can stop trying to tap a card with money inside the can and hope it is not stolen. :)

Dear Whitetail, We had a good run, but it's OVER. Ever since you hooked up with that big guy from Vermont, you've been, well, DISTRACTED: Ignoring my containers, avoiding my basic needs. I call and I call, and you SAY all the right things, but you show that you don't care by not paying attention to me. You have weekly affairs with the cans ACROSS THE STREET instead. I have given you time to figure out your feelings, but this relationship has become toxic, and I know that I deserve better. (For anyone reading this, they have now missed pickup 41 times in the past year and change. Bruh.) Run, don't walk, away from this one.

Whitetail failed to pick up my trash can over the course of 3 months. I had to email them every time, they would then send out a truck to get my trash and then repeat the incident the next week. I repeatedly asked them to solve this very simple issue. They proved they lacked the competence to do the one service they primarily offer. I would not recommend them. Find someone else.

Worst trash service ever! They have missed picking up our recycling and or trash at least 10 times in the last year. I just spoke to them 2 days ago about the missed pickup last week, and then today they missed both the trash and the recycling again. They had the audacity to tell me that it was my fault because I had to report a missed trash pickup while we were away on vacation within 24 hours. They also have very belligerent customer service, telling a customer they were giving a refund and then changing their mind later.

I signed up for service July 30 and received my trash cans 2 weeks later (mid August), after paying for the first 3 months of service. 2 months later, I've received a bill for the next 3 months of service. Assuming this was an error that would be easy to fix, my husband and I attempted to call the customer service line. Now, after being on the phone with them for over 45 minutes, we are being told that we were charged for the month of July, despite not even having received the trash cans yet. Customer service reps are rude and absolutely not helpful. Pick another service provider!

We cancelled our service back in August 2025 (now October 17th) and Whitetail has yet to come retrieve the bins. They have told us on about 4-5 different occasions now via phone call and email that they will be coming to retrieve the cans yet they are still on our property. Their response is always that we are on the schedule for 'xyz' day and they will be picked up, we leave the cans, and they never come. This last time we received an email this week stating they would be picked up in 2 business days, and the two business days have come and gone and the cans are STILL HERE. Not sure what it will take for them to come get the cans ! I have tried calling multiple times and every time I get a rude customer service rep that couldnt care less about the issue, but they are happy to say that they will charge us for the cans if they arent on the curb when they come. Its nearly 2 months after we cancelled the service, I cant leave these cans at the curb for 2 months. They are in the way of other cans and they are blocking parking, cant leave them on the grass as it will kill it. Out of options here, do yourself a favor and DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY. The service is poor and if you cancel they will screw you around out of spite. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Recycling came garbage came down one side of street never came back for other side. Call whitetail tell us 24 to 48hrs when was driver fault. Yet if bear gets our pails they wont clean it up but expect us to just leave pails sitting at curb when leave in woods and development will fine us for bins being out. About to cancel service all together

I don't ever post bad reviews, but the interface with their billing team was awful. The bad experience was with billing employee charging excess when bill was already paid. I had previously had a similar experience with them that I mentioned. I was promised a supervisor call back within 24 hours to resolve but call never came. Billing employee was extremely rude and arrogant, even when I was able to offer proof of on time payment, which was paying for the next 3 months in advance. Not planning to name individual online, but the company were made aware. Upon cancelling their service they refused to repay the 2 1/2 months service I had paid for in advance. Natasha at cancellations was very pleasant and did offer to retain me at a reduced rate and apologized for my experience. She did talk to her manager to get me a refund but the manager declined.

Absolutely Unreliable – Whitetail Trash Disposal Failed Me I rarely leave bad reviews, but Whitetail has completely earned this one. My trash pickup was missed on Tuesday, and despite multiple promises of a “recovery truck,” it’s now Saturday and nothing has been done. I’ve called eight times, and each time I was met with vague apologies and empty promises. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told I’d receive a call back within 24–48 hours—still no response. It’s clear that follow-through and accountability are not part of their business model. This level of service is unacceptable. Trash is piling up, and I’m left with no answers and no action. If you’re considering Whitetail, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. They’ve wasted my time, ignored my concerns, and failed to deliver even the most basic service they’re paid for.

A JOKE of a company! My borough switched to this company the 1st of the year, and boy do I wish they didn’t. We aren’t even a full two months into the year and my trash has been skipped over twice now. I contacted my borough (who are great), and complained to them about this company. What am I even paying for!? I was informed that I was going to receive a phone call, still waiting on that … it’s ironic that it’s a disposal company because the only thing that needs to be disposed is the company itself! ~ update. Finally got a phone call from the “supervisor” who was a total jerk. She told me that it’s MY fault that the trash isn’t being taken because the bins are all green. Trying to tell me that all my cans are recycling. If the trash guys would open their eyes, they would see that two of them are recycling. Mind you, all the cans I have were issued by the borough. She was cutting me off, rude, unprofessional, and quite frankly a piece of work. I have never in my entire life dealt with a company like this. Avoid this “company”.

Very disappointed in the service after the sale of the company. Customer service has really gone down hill. Today before Xmas they didn’t pick up our recycling we put out next to our bid. It was wrapped up and broken down. And before Thanksgiving they left our yard a total mess. We pay for two bins and recycling. For years now we had good service. But I have to say I am going to look for a different service. They did offer to send someone out in 24 to 48 hour to pick it up. I’m thinking they are going to send someone on Xmas. Really. No wonder their employees are doing this kind of work with a company that would do that.
