First time visiting this location. Very clean yard. Tall fella name H. Was very knowledgeable and even made me extra money just by helping me break down some items. I’ll definitely be coming back. Over all very satisfied.
Great experience at Sims as well! From the front desk to the guys in the yard. Easy, fast process because of the friendly, professional and nicest people there.
I went there today to do a simple drop off. The yardman steered me to a place that looked messy (crap all over the ground) compared to the other bays. I dropped the metal and drove away with a clicking noise. BIG chunk of aluminum stuck in my tire. They said they are not responsible and that was that. Called AAA and had to wait 1.5 hours.
I dropped the tire off to my mechanic and the slice was to big to plug. I now have to replace both back truck tires at a cost of $650.00.
Good luck with not getting a flat. The only positive that happened was a fellow named Michael Richardson brought me out 2 bottles of water.
I had a fantastic experience at Sims Metal, and I want to especially highlight the excellent service provided by Cierca D at the front counter. She was friendly, professional, and efficient, making the process of weighing in and out smooth and hassle-free. Additionally, the yard guys were exceptional—helpful, courteous, and hardworking, making sure everything was handled quickly and safely. Overall, my visit was very positive thanks to the great team. I called about delivery instructions to this site. Simple question about the delivery but women that took phone call transferred me over to voice machine. Then i called few more times and she would just sent me to voice mail. I don't understand why. I have a huge truck load to deliver and i needed to know some things ahead of arrival
I recently went to Sims Metal to drop off random scrap metal I've been collecting over the last 10-20 years. I was unsure the process that I would have to go through as it was little intimidating.
I was greeted by Ciara who helped direct me step by step to everything to do. She made it so easy to maneuver my way through the lot and get paid on the spot. Back at the scales Hakeem directed me of where to put each of the metals made it super easy.
The whole process was seamless and I would highly recommend anyone to use Sims medals for their scrap needs.
Went to Sims this morning and the facilities are well organized and clean the woman in the office was very helpful and friendly and the gentleman in the yard handling the scrap was great and helpful and was happy with the prices for my scap would highly recommend them for taking scrap to
I was very happy to find a scrap yard in the area that doesn't mind dealing with the homeowner. I had replaced my Bilco door and dropped off the old one at Sims. It took some time, but everyone was as courteous and professional as one could expect in a heavy industrial environment. I wasn't expecting anything for plain carbon steel, but came out with enough to buy lunch.
Great place to take your scrap. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Mike inside the garage is very professional and will answer any questions you might have about material. The girl inside is always very nice and the whole place is well kept.
Out of the 3 local to me centers, I would say Sims is the best. The staff is always there to help you, and even tho metal prices are at an all-time low, Sims pays best. I recommend them to the fullest.Cheers to their crew.

They do not accept Martensitic or ferritic stainless steel. Nor do they even know what that means. Had to settle for light steel price on a lot of magnetic stainless steel. Got ripped off. However, its always clean and not worried about popping tires in the yard.

The service at the Sims Metals is out this word. The friendliest staff out of all the Sims I go to. They are all good, but the Bridgeport location is the best. I personally think everyone in there deserves a raise because they always go above and beyond.
Staff was not the friendliest . Price paid for scrap below national average . National scrap price for aluminum cans 28 cents/lb. I brought in 5 lbs. They paid me 25 cents/lbs. They also pocketed the 25 cents they owed me.
Staff were friendly enough and the place seemed well organised. However I think they shafted me on the prices. Certain higher grade metals were hastily counted in with lower grade ones and I got the junk price. Would be 4/5 stars if prices were fairer.
After a terrible experience at another scrap yard, I went here and was very glad I did. The staff was very helpful and nice. I think I have found my new place to scrap.
