I signed up with "whitetail" a little over a month ago. My service was supposed to start 2/3/26. They have collected my trash 1 time, and that pick up was 4 days late. They delivered a trash tote and a recycling tote instead of 2 trash totes, that still hasn't been fixed. Missed my pick up yet again today. For the 3rd week in a row. What a joke of a company. I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Our area is serviced by a central dumpster. Granted, weather had a small part in the 3 weeks that is has not been emptied BUT the whole area has been storing trash in their garages! The dumpster is full, AGAIN, one day after pick-up. Common sense dictates making extra pick-ups until things are back to normal. Repeated phone calls yield no results. Hopefully, the powers that be will not force us to pay for this poorly managed company, anymore.

They don’t pick up on schedule days. They skip weekly residential pick ups. They are full of excuses and lies. It’s not worth the cost of home pick up. Horrible customer service .personnel hang up on you and cut you off mid sentence. You have to put up with it because they are the only game in town.

I would give customer service zero stars if I could. They routinely won't service my development in the winter time, which fine, I get it, it's not safe for the trucks. But all I ever ask for is a credit for that week, because why should I pay for services that weren't rendered. But I never receive a credit. Unfortunately they are the only game in town where I live, so I'm stuck with using this company.

No one answers the phone there. No way to get trash picked up if they miss you in the morning. The recycling truck ate my can, they watched the video on the truck, I've been waiting 2 weeks for a new can!

I had them for two years and there was constant problems. Missed pickups, high winds and low quality cans = garbage in the street. I brought these issues up over the two years and nothing was done. This was the final straw for me. Until they can get better cans I’m not using them. Shame because I’m in my 30s and would’ve been a customer for life. Now I’m never going to be a customer.

Casella is absolutely horrible!!! Avoid hiring them at all costs and look for other companies if you have already hired them. Had whitetail before it was bought out by Casella (owned by JPMorgan) and has been awful since. First off, they do not come every week and when they miss they do not offer any accommodations or reasons. They add misc chargers and raise their premium very frequently without explanation. On top of all of this, when you try and contact them, they only have customer service agents that have no authority to do anything. I’ve requested to speak to a manager 4 times over a month with no success. These large company buy businesses and automate everything, horrible service!!! FYI, Casella is way overpriced anyways and other companies have better prices. Nothing personal just trying to help out others!

What a shitty garbage company! They said our cans weren’t out when they were. We also have camera’s running 24/7 and can see they never came down our road. Best part is they took a picture of our cans and they had the completely wrong house- The coordinates on the picture were for a completely different town! When I called (and waited 20 mins to speak with someone) she didn’t have much to say besides she “put a work order in”. I live in the mountains and cannot be leaving bags out of the can! Fed up with this company and switching to Waste Management immediately!

Once again Casella failed to pickup my trash. Was told Saturday after Christmas weather prevented pickup and next pickup will be 1/3. Well today my trash and recycling was at end of driveway by 5am and only my recycling was picked up. Now I will have to wait 3 weeks to get my trash picked up and still take my money. This has been an ongoing problem since I've been with Casella and because my pickup is Fridays I have no recourse because they are closed till Monday. Every time there is a missed pickup they tell me my next pickup is the following Friday. No shit! Can't believe I have to wait 3 weeks for pickup after Christmas.

I’m not even going to bother calling after reading all these terrible reviews. Flemington contracts this service, and recycling wasn’t picked up due to the holiday. It’s now 2:35 PM. I pulled my bins in earlier because pickups are always done early in the morning, and I assumed they weren’t coming. I then literally saw the truck, ran outside, and put my bins back in the driveway. The driver saw me made eye contact and still drove right past without stopping. Completely unacceptable service.

I had whitetail before casella bought them. Whitetail was great. Casella sucks. The day after Christmas, they took our trash but skipped recycling on our whole road, I called twice (waited on hold for 50 minutes) left two voicemails, and an email…. Never got a response. Recycling is overflowing due to the holiday. I put out an extra can filled with recycling this week… hoping they’d be decent and take it (we’ve had a guy dump it into our regulation can before) but of course they didn’t. So now I’ll have to call again and see if I can even get to a person. I wish I could say this was the first time. Edit: the recycling driver skipped the second recycling bin, but the trash driver was nice enough to grab it. And finally received an email back from someone. Keeping the 1 star though because you shouldn’t have to go through all Of this for a weekly service. Company needs better communication and better customer service.

They just decide to NOT pick up your trash and then offer zero communication or compensation. We live in the mountains, there’s are hungry animals who are loving that the bags of trash and food waste are just sitting there, waiting to be ripped up. This isn’t the first time, either. We’re absolutely looking for a replacement company.

Our service was delayed one day due to the Christmas holiday, with pickup scheduled for Saturday instead of Friday. Conditions were fine, less than an inch of snow/sleet, plowed early, and the road was clear to blacktop. Casella did not come. There was no website notice, no robocall, and no communication. We waited Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, customer service told me they would not return until the following Saturday due to the New Year holiday resulting in two weeks without service. Casella does not issue credits for missed pickups. Instead, customers are told to put out “extra trash.” This is meaningless. I pay for a three-can household, but most weeks I only put out one or two cans. That week, I had one can out, which I had to dig out and haul back up my driveway when the truck never arrived. Using my other paid-for cans later is not extra service. This isn’t about a credit. It’s about missed service, broken commitments, and zero accountability. For a publicly traded company providing essential services, the lack of communication and failure to honor a basic weekly pickup is unacceptable. Weekly trash service is not optional. Skipping it without notice or remedy undermines trust and reflects poorly on the company’s integrity.

I have only had this service since The middle of May 2025 and I have had to call many ti.es for service not picked up. Again yesterday. They called Wednesday night saying they didn't get to it, fine it was snowing. But said it would be picked up on Thursday. It wasnt!! When I called the man whom i spike to sounded like he had no clue what he was doing and told me they can't get it now until next week. So now I'm stuck with a trash receptacle full and nowhere to put the trash for this up coming week. I refuse to leave it out for the animals to rip apart. I do my job getting it out there at the Crack of dawn they could at least pick it up in a timely fashion. If these drivers are afraid to drive on a dirt road with a little snow on it maybe they shouldn't be driving. The road was plowed Wednesday night. There was no excuse. I drive my car through it which is 6 times smaller than those trucks. I am tired of calling on a monthly basis to get this do e properly. How do you run a business if you can't even get your driver's to do their job properly?

Very disappointed in the customer service. The system is all screwed up! I'm getting bills for stuff I paid in the past. I paid my recent bill and my garbage was not picked up because I so called had a bill way back in July which was already paid. I'm always behind apparently. Something is wrong with your system. Everytime I try talking to someone they say they don't handle my area. I call the number they gave me and it's still a problem. I'm in the kunkleyown area and there is a issue all the time. These number are screwed up and so is the system. When they transition from GFL that's when all the problems started.

Place got so much worse over the last 5-6 months. Not sure if they got a new manager or what. But the beginning of this year this place was A-1. If anyone in the corporate office sees this, please bring back the people who worked there in the beginning of the year!! Definitely taking business elsewhere!!

The 1.8 star rating makes sense. They left a trash can in front of my business so I called to be nice so they knew and could pick it up. I received terrible customer service. Their employee gave me a hard time saying there was nothing they can do and just assumed I knew how they operate, and after a couple transfers they hung up on me. I was just trying to be nice, but after 20 minutes wasted, they probably still won’t come and get it. I would recommend anyone else but these people.

Why did TAMAQUA TRANSFER sell to CASELLO?! This new company CASELLO SUCKS!!! We're stuck with higher prices and WORSE service!! Tamaqua Transfer was always so reliable and caring. We could leave out a giant item once a month without a problem, but with Casello, it’s like we’re lucky if they pick up one every five months. They DON'T even take the trash if it’s a little on the curb, which is ABSURD. My father is elderly and can only do so much—it's incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking to see how much worse it's become.

Service is horrible. Worst garbage service in my entire life. Garbage cans are left in the shrubs and worst then any of my neighbors. They r very cruel workers. Avoid like the plague!!!

I had problems with this company since being apart of an HOA for 2 years. Never gave us our bigger recycling can. Good luck getting ahold of customer service. Get put on hold all the time and getting transferred or hung up on. Nothing but problems. Go somewhere else with your money they don't deserve it.

I've had their service for over a year now and never had a problem! One time my trash was missed and I called and the representative was very polite and fixed the issue and my trash was picked up the next day. I think they are great and professional.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They have been screwing us around with recycling since the end of June. We have to call every Monday to tell them it hasn't been picked up. Then we wait another 48hrs or longer for them to get it. First excuse was we were new to the route. Then the bridge they go through is too small for their truck, now today they said its bi-weekly. We are forced to pay for recycling, I expect it to be picked up on the day designated. We have a very long driveway and our cans sit on someone elses property. They dont enjoy our full can sitting there all those extra days. We have a contract and I expect it to be honored! Looking for another company who can handle the job!

I had canceled our service for 5/30.. It is now 6/16 and my cans have not been removed from my residence. Was told on cancellation date to put cans at end of drive and will be picked up within the following week. Called on 6/10 and there was never a job order placed. So order was put in QUE on 6/10 was told would be picked up by end of week whi h would have been 6/13. I live directly on top of Sciota Hill and these cans have found there way in the.middle of 209 weather by high winds or semi trucks passing. I called again today and was informed pick up for cans is now scheduled for 6/20. Amber says today you can bring them back to your house and as long as the driver can see them they w u ll pick them up. Nope.! I will not..

We have been having the same problem that it seems a lot of people are having, my trash isn't being picked up for the past 2 weeks in a row! I've gone weeks before having to call on a daily basis just to receive the service that I pay for. when we clearly have cameras to prove it.. They have offered to take my overflow before, however the drivers are so lazy that when I did put it out, they can't be bothered to get out of their truck. Lesson learned. Very unprofessional company. And every time we call and complain their response is that they will send someone out to pick it up the same day and no one shows up to pick our garbage as they said they would. This has bin going on for the past 3 months and it seems like the garbage truck drivers pick and choose who's garbage to pick up and who's not to pick up. I've just about had it with how unreliable they are. I'm gonna be making some calls tomorrow to get quotes from other companies. And when we find someone else we will then call and cancel our service with casellas trash company. My advice is don't waste your money hiring them! Save your money and hire someone more reliable since this company clearly is not very reliable at all!!!! If I could ide rate them 0 starts for their horrible and unreliable services!!!

Time and time again, it is proven that who you have working for you matters and this time is no different. Being a new homeowner and setting up new services has been straightforward, but we ran into some hiccups with Casella Waste Systems. The previous owner had smaller garbage and recycling bins and we need the bigger 96 gallon bins. Due to some understandable issues and maybe also some excuses, we have been unable to receive these bins and garbage along with recycling has been really accumulating . That's when Angela went above and beyond to keep our business and rectify the situation. She not only set up a special delivery pickup for all the garbage and recycling, she is personally keeping tabs and giving us updates on when we can expect to receive the upgraded bins, AND we can leave some extra bags out, etc on pickup day until we get the those bins. This is customer service and every company no matter what the service or amenity is needs to take note. Along with pleasant and warm attitude, Angela is one of a kind. If she is someone who Casella hires, that I also pray treats with respect and gives good compensation too, then you have a loyal customer! I've been a customer for a week and still waiting for the recycling to be picked up since Wednesday. I've called twice now each time they say someone is coming and no one shows up. Now I have to take time out of my day to sort this and run it to our township recycling center just so I can use the container this week. Exactly why I signed up for service to get that time back in my week. I hope breach of contract is not something they feel is OK.

This is the worst company I have ever encountered. They stopped pick-up without informing me. They did not send me a letter notifying me that service was set to be suspended. They stated someone tried to call but I never gave YOU permission to call me. I paid my bill on 6/4 and then on 6/13 and the representatives did not tell me of the notice. I spoke with a rep on Friday, who informed me that the service was cancelled-NO ONE INFORMED ME of this while making a payment the week before. They then decided to lift the hold on my account after they decided to cancel for no reason at all. I cancelled my service due to non pick-up and went with another company. I was told a third party would pick up the empty cans, today, Monday. Called to follow up and was told they are not coming until Thursday to pick up the empty cans. I don’t have space to keep your empty cans. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told there were no supervisor available, someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. It is now past 24 business hours, and NO call-Shows how you value their customers. I was told that even though they only picked up my garbage for 2 weeks out of the month, I am still responsible to pay for the whole month. What a rip off!!!! Are you kidding me? Casella decided not to collect my garbage on their own. When speaking with a representative everyone is telling me something else-as if its not one company, and they are unprofessional and show no empathy and respect. RUN from this company. I don’t know how they are still in business.i would give ZERO stars.
