The guys taking your scrap are polite, helpful, and will go out of their way to separate your scrap so you get the best possible price.
The workers that cash you out are always friendly, and let you know if there is a major fluctuation in metal prices. Will happily be coming here with any scrap metals.
Great folks to work with. On site staff are very helpful, polite and willing to help. Owner is great to work with. Only scrap yard I would work with in the area!
I'd rate them 20 stars if I could!! This is what all scrap yards should strive to be, but don't!!! These folks have me for life. This will be the only place I scrap now. Why, you might ask? Because they have fantastic customer service, for starters, other places don't know what that is anymore!! Next, fair, honest, and sometimes even a little extra for what you bring them. All the others I've been to, you have one f&$@ing staple in a piece of metal and you either don't get the price you should per pound, or they subtract 50 pounds from your metal weight!!! The list just goes on and on. I found nothing bad, everything better than great here! Bring your scrap here, it's more than worth the trip!!!
Recyclers BEWARE. Make your own conclusions by my experience there. I went with a full 8 foot bed pickup truck full of metal. With 2 water heaters and one crushed filling cabinet. Underneath that was all metal under 3 feet. Break disk, 11" H- beam cut off pieces, rebar end pieces and pipe. My net weight drop off was 1,900 pounds. They only gave me the recycle price for tin. Because I had the 2 water heaters stripped of insulation foam and 1 crushed filling cabinet. How is 1,900 pounds influenced by 3 tin metal items?
Very bad attitude on phone also was hung up on. Was given low price for scrap $2.10 for bare bright copper and $.50 for romex when other places were offering $2.25 and $.85. I usually have great results with Jim's scrap, that's not the case any more.
The scrap yard is very unprofessional in both appearance as well as the quality of service or its customer service. Have had the unsavory opportunity to speak with several employees and I won't mince words, In short do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with these people and make the mistake in dealing with these people that I made. Avoid, stay away, and run like hell!!
