Super friendly staff and excellent sandwiches (although not cheap - $20 for a sandwich, 2 waters, 1 soda, and a candy bar). Always try to stop by at least once when I visit.
Amazing lunch spot by the bike trail. The Italian sandwich is delicious, on excellent bread. Love the front porch for a rest stop. Check out the only non-digital gas pump I've seen in forever. Great selection of drinks and snacks. Helpful staff, hope to eat here again sometime!
We have a cabin near Wolf's that's been in the family for 3 generations and even though our family doesn't get up that often, when we do we go over to get an Italian sub first thing. They are awesome!!!
I was just a kid when grandpa built the cabin and we all became great friends with Debbie and her parents. We love coming up to Slate Run!!!
These people work tirelessly to provide great service and a wide variety of products for their customers. We love to stop in for breakfast sandwiches when we are staying in Slate Run, but they offer so much more. Also a great variety of tackle and souvenirs. Definitely worth stopping by!
Nice place to shop when up Pine Creek. You can find everything from fishing equipment to groceries and souvenirs of the area. Good sandwiches and ice cream too.
By far one of my favorite places!!! Everyone there is amazing, so kind and helpful!! Love Wolfe’s been going there since I was a kid and still can’t wait to go back every time!! And their sandwiches are out of this world!!!
Great little general store. The employees are nice and very informative, especially when it comes to getting intel on the fishing. The hoages are amazing and so is some of the wine they carry. Will make this my pitstop when I come up trout fishing
Wow! Very possibly the best sandwich I have ever had! You can have them make your sandwich just the way you want, but I would recommend ordering the Italian sandwich. Delicious! Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Every time I am in the area, this store is a MANDATORY stop for me. Their staff is very friendly and they make the best sandwiches! Their selection is very good, they have souvenirs, and most things a camper, fisherman, or hiker might need. As for the slate run tackle shop in the basement, their customer service is unmatched! Every time I go in the staff is very helpful with fly fishing advice for the area. Today me and a friend went in and were helped by a gentleman in the tackle shop who made time to help us and give us his advice. He recommended several streamers to us and we had a ton of action on the pine with his recommendation. Experiences like this will keep me coming back for years to come. Please stop in and give the general store and the tackle shop a visit!
This is a great place for EVERYTHING if you find yourself in beautiful Pine Creek Gorge: food, fly fishing gear, souvenirs, toys, and more. Really nice place, really friendly and with a nice restroom. Try the cinnamon buns and coffee!
One of my nost favorite places in all of PA. I love the gift shop items and really love the sandwiches. I go out of my way to be sure I can stop in for a sandwich close to meal time. I live three hours away and have considered making the trip just for a sandwich - they are so good! If you are in the area - give them a try. You can get your sandwich or other snack items and sit at a picnic table along the rail trail / pine creek to watch the people or just enjoy the view of the mountains. go already
Wonderful stop along the Pine Creek Rail Trail. My husband and I were biking the length and stopped for a refreshment here. Clean bathrooms, and really nice staff who were happy to refill multiple water bottles for us. Good selection of food, gifts, and sporting goods. Highly recommend!

Got stranded in their parking lot for couple days because of a power steering leak and they were glad to help with phone use etc in an area with limited service.
I've been coming to this place for nearly two decades now. The owners have changed, once, maybe twice within that time but the 'look' of the place has always stayed the same which I appreciate. They've got a ton of gifts, souvenirs, and camping material - plus a whole downstairs floor dedicated to fishing. I spoke to one of the owners about the precious stones she sells in the store - they have a nice assortment and I've given them as gifts a few times. They have a ton of new and old school candy albeit a bit expensive. The sandwiches are the most delicious along the trail and they are always consistent. If you're stopping here off the bike trail to grab food, take it another mile or so down the trail to Tomb Flats - a really beautiful campground with picnic tables. Its a great spot for lunch.
A unique store with a little of everything you need when on vacation in the mountains, food, groceries souvenirs, fishing license and gear, Getting ice cream is a yearly family tradition for us! Friendly staff. New owners carrying on the good service that the Wolf's had.
While visiting this area a lot, during the month of October, we stopped here a couple of times. The service is great, staff is exceptionally friendly, and the sandwiches are delicious!!! I would highly recommend this place to any one who is planning to be in the area. The first time we were there, we were going out to hike the West Rim Trail. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and a sub to split fir lunch on the trail. They wrapped each half separate, in a paper tray, and wrapped the tomatoes separately.
We stopped in the morning for gas and decided to check out the store. Sandwiches were available for breakfast and lunch. We asked for vegetarian/vegan sandwiches and they went out of their way to accommodate us. We didn’t want the tomatoes as we were going on hike and it would make the sandwiches soggy. They said no worries and gave the tomato slices in a separate wrapping, pickle in a separate wrapping, sandwiches wrapped tight with paper boats/plates to eat on the trail. The sandwich was awesome, the roll was baked fresh that morning(we had to wait 10 mins for it to finish baking), sandwich was not soggy and the tomatoes stayed firm and we added that to the sandwiches. I would definitely visit this place again and recommend to others to. The place is in the middle of nowhere and we got great service and great sandwiches.
Such a cute little store. Has tons of stuff for all ages. Something for everybody. Great experience. I always get candy and it is really good. They even have Hershey's ice cream and even giant pickles. Toys fishing stuff and candles they have everything. People are really nice and help you with anything
This place is as awesome as their sandwiches! There were 4 ladies running the upper part of the store and rocked it! So impressed by the selections of gifts, food item and sundries but that even was overshadowed by their sandwiches. Made with fresh baked bread of your choice, meats, cheeses and accompaniments if your choice, they were nothing short of fantabulous! Can’t wait to get back to Pine Valley to have another sandwich and pursue the goods in their store. I am not a fisherman, but it is obvious that the downstairs caters to fishermen who know their stuff, probably those who don’t as well
