They were friendly, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable — they explained everything clearly and got the job done efficiently. A dependable and trustworthy one stop shop for all of your vehicle needs, regardless of what you drive! Jeep, diesel, passenger car, etc., I am 100% confident that they can fix, build or service anything! I purchased my most recent vehicle from Black Rock and have had multiple vehicles serviced there. John & Mike provide top notch quality work and customer service. I am and will, without a doubt, be a repeat customer of theirs. I also have some future build plans there for one of my Jeeps. Very highly recommended!!! UPDATE: After 6 years, I realized that this review needs to be updated. I returned the Jeep I bought from there, as it had small issues that couldn’t be figured out. I was grateful they took it back. At my most recent appointment, about 2 years ago, I got new tires installed. Bought and brought in all 4. They broke the bead on 1 and had to replace it (asked me to, but I couldn’t afford to buy a 5th tire at the time). So after the tires were put on, a standard alignment was not done, which (I didn’t know about at the time, but) over time created many problems for me. At the time, they were moving locations and drove my Jeep from Frackville to Gordon (without first telling me it had to be relocated to where their tools were). They also told me that I badly needed brakes, but I advised I would wait because they felt fine; went to a CJDR dealership where they verified the brakes have plenty of life left - and I still have the same brakes now, after recently passing Luzerne County inspection without any comments or warnings. What I once considered to be dependable and trustworthy, I am now uncertain, so I changed my review from 5 to 4 stars. It’s very possible that their move interfered with my quality of service, because for all the times I’ve had my vehicles serviced there, this time was not ordinary. Their Gordon location is very inconvenient for me, so I found another shop to go to.

John and his son did my alaingment, and tires on my car. They are very knowledgeable and were very helpful getting me back on the road. If you have any automotive needs give them a call or stop by and they will get you sorted

Takes money for parts, then gives excuses why the parts haven't arrived (for MONTHS). Do not recommend.

Nice shop, great people ,we needed a caliper and hose put on while on route to knoebels for the week they got us right in on top of everything else they had going so we didn't have to wait long ,all great people if I ever need a mechanic again in the area ill be sure to stop there ,thanks again guys!!!

Absolutely terrible experience. Told by my mechanic that my timing belt was shot and it may have caused further damage to engine. Black Rock replaced my Distributor, told me that did not work and engine was completely dead. They removed new distributor and never returned my old distributor when they returned my vehicle to me. Excuse was that the mechanic didn't put mine back because he wasn't being paid to do that. Owner told me it was thrown out with their scraps. Reason for the extra star was the person I paid, although too much $$ for nothing accomplished, was very nice as well as the manager (owner?) when I spoke with him.

These guys are professional and nice! Got the job done and made sure everything was working correctly. We towed are car to Florida with no issues at all. Tow bar was top of the line just like their work. Thanks John and stay healthy!

Called late on a Friday about needing a few different things & expected to not be able to get in right away but I was on the schedule first thing Monday morning. Had the car back the same day. Will be taking my car here from now on, thank you!

I have a handicapped van that needed work done on the door. The door with the ramp wasn’t working. Normally I would have to take it over an hour away with at least $140/he just to look at it. John and Bryan were able to fix our van!!! They explained everything to me so I understood. My husband was in the hospital so taking it local was so amazing!! And to top it off they saved me a ton of money and found a few other things that needed to be fixed! These guys are fabulous!!!

Fabulous service! Came to where my camping trailer was incapacitated with a broken spring, replaced it, and got me back on the road in a couple of hours! Im so thankful! Friendly folks as well!

Awesome business with people who care about you and take pride in their work! Recently had new wheels installed on my truck and couldn't be happier, John helped me find the perfect fit for my truck while Nicole kept me informed of my shipment and the mechanics knocked it out of the park on the install. I've had nothing but incredible results coming to Black Rock!!

Absolutely 5 Stars. The staff was very friendly. The auto technicians lead by Mr. Seasock were attentive, reasonable priced and fast service. If you have auto issues, I encourage you to take your vehicle to Black Rock. This hidden gem outside of Frackvile on Firemans road is definitely worth taking your vehicle to. A HUGE shout-out to John and everyone at Black Rock Truck & Equipment for their OUTSTANDING service. As a daily essential, a reliable vehicle is crucial, and it can be disheartening when a trusted garage misleads you. But thanks to John and his team of workers, I know that they are the ones I CAN TRUST.

This review is long overdue. Initially I had an Air Lift Suspension Kit installed a while back. Well the compressor failed prematurely and BRT replaced the unit under warranty and had one in stock, so no waiting. Recently I had tires, inspection, brakes rotors, and fuel filters installed. Work was timely and top notch!! John & Nikki were great to deal with handled any issues I had in short order.

Shout out to the honest, skilled and kind folks at Black Rock Trucks and Equipment! While traveling, we broke down on Interstate 81, and we were towed to Black Rock. John and Nikki and Bryan were AWESOME!! They were able to quickly assess the problem with our 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix on the spot and ordered the parts in short order. They were able to get us up and running in no time!! They did the work efficiently and at a very fair price. Although no one wants to be stranded in unfamiliar territory, we were so lucky to have landed at their shop. They are truly the nicest people you’d ever want to meet, and they treated us like family. We’re back on the road and not even aggravated at our mechanical mishap because we were treated so kindly! Thank you for taking such good care of us!

While traveling from Ontario to Florida, we enountered an exhaust issue on our Class C motorhome. After many calls we managed to reach John and he was able to look at the problem right away and resolve it. We can't say enough about the fantasticc customer service that was provided on such short notice. We were on our way in less than 3 hours. Thank you from your Canadian friends. ps - John also gave us a little history lesson about the surrounding area and places to visit on our way back ! Thanks a million !

I just finished having my antique all original 1939 Chevy master deluxe overhauled by Black Rock Trucks and Equipment They did a fantastic job on servicing my car it was well worth the wait! I had them completely go over the car top to bottom to make sure it was in tip top shape. It’s been sitting since 2010 or so so the brake system had to be completely gone over, they replaced the seals on the transmission because it had a really bad leak, they flushed all the fluids and redid the vacuum assisted shifting. I couldn’t be happier I can’t wait to continue preserving American history and enjoying it along the way!🙂

While traveling from Scranton to Hershey Medical Center we stopped in Frackville for a bite to eat. When we came out of the restaurant we noticed that we had a flat tire and could not make it to Hershey on our donut. It was nighttime, cold, and raining. No garage was open. After a few calls from Amber (owner of Black Diamond restaurant) Black Rock Trucks and Equipment answered and open their garage just for us. They were able to patch our tire, and would not charge us a dime. We were able to make it to Hershey safely. This is a great shop with wonderful people. Their kindness will not be forgotten. 5 Stars!

Had an unexpected breakdown in the middle of nowhere, but making matters worse it was a day before Christmas. I called around and everyone was finished for the week and wouldn’t be able to help me out until the next week after. But when I called here they helped me out right away. Called a tow company that was amazing, and got me in the shop to see if they can get me on the road again. John and his team did an amazing job of going above and beyond helping me out.

I brought my 2017 Ram 2500 here because I was having issues with vibration on the highway. I had larger tires and wheels installed at another shop who couldnt fix the issue with 3 trips to the shop. I brought it here and spoke with John, they found out the tires were severely unbalanced. All in all it was a quick fix and I was very impressed. Will be bringing the truck back for anything it needs in the future!

John and Mike took great care of the jeep and gave us a awesome warranty program on the parts. Its a brand new program they have going that you cant beat. We definitely will be back and recommend to everyone. Very honest and commutation was great. Thanks guys.

I took my 2010 jeep to Joe Thurs because it needed a whole new exhaust. The quote he gave me was under what i expected. He ordered the parts and I dropped it off on my next scheduled day off. He had the job done within a few hours. And even though the job required a few extra things and time he didn't charge me anything extra. Also I have a free tow good for one year starting the day my exhaust was done. I will definitely be taking my jeep to joe for anything that needs done to my jeep.

Had to get some work done on my Jeep before a big trip in couple of weeks. They were able to get my Jeep in and get the work done so we have peace of mind for the trip. Not only did John and the guys do great work, but the price was extremely reasonable. I trust these guys without reservation. Thanks guys!
