Found these guys on Facebook but you're not there to deal in large quantities of metal they're rude (except for the lady who works at the front, who was curt at first but ended up being friendly). Was getting a few scrap metal pieces as a hobby builder/DIYer and they looked at me like I had three heads each time. Won't be back.

By far, hands down, the best scrap yard ever. Belinda in copper area was super awesome and had a super great attitude. She was very helpful. Front office was friendly and prompt. Prices are more than reasonable. Thank you guys for an awesome experience. Worth the trip for sure.
I am not an experienced metal scapper. The staff has been very helpful in teaching me how metals are defined and how to scrap them to make the most money. Of course the better I separate the metals the better they do to re-sell them so it is a win win situation.
I appreciate Sahd for it being a local family owned company. I frequent there to recycle my metals from projects I have around the house etc. I’m always greeted with a smile and friendly helpful face in Shelbie everytime I come in. She is always willing to help with questions and where and what I need to do as a walk in none business customer or recycling. She has taken the time to talk to me and my children who started recycling cans in there strive to help the environment. It’s the little things the staff does like shelbie example that keeps us local homeowner recycling folks coming back! Keep up the good work Sahd’s and Shelbie.
It was a great pleasure to work with Sahd Metal. We received such a warm welcome from so many kind and helpful people! We had never seen a scrap recycling yard as clean as the one at Sahd, and really well-organized. We no longer worry about metal shards or nails puncturing the tires of our trucks as we did with previous businesses. We will always recycle our scrap metal here and nowhere else, because customer service goes a long way for us! Sahd's facilities were extremely clean, orderly, and well-maintained. Everyone from Shelby, at the front desk, to the guys helping go through our scrap metals were very kind and helpful. For those of us not familiar with the process they walked us through step by step, quickly and efficiently. They didn't be-little us for small loads nor being rookies not knowing what to do. Their website was helpful and informative.
We drove 1.5 hours to get to Sahd Recycling. We were nervous because it was our first time there and we weren’t sure how the facility operated. We were greeted by such kind and helpful people! The facility is very well organized (the best out of any other scrap-recycling location I’ve ever been to). The staff is extremely helpful, going out of there way to make sure all of your needs are met, including helping you around the facility, cutting metal to your desired size (for a small fee), & loading your vehicle for you. The staff at Sahd made sure we found just what we were looking for! We will definitely be back in the future.
Sahd Metal is incredible to work with. We won't use any other location for recycling our scrap metal. Sahd's facility is organized, interesting and clean. We don't have to worry about our trucks getting metal punctured in the tires, as was a concern with previous providers. They are a great team and a family-owned business with an amazing company culture. I highly recommend.

What a God send this scrapyard has been for my dreams. They welcome the ScrapyardArtist such as myself. I use scrapyard metal to make my creations. This past wed late I realized that I needed sheet metal. To continue my flamingo piece. So I ran into the yard. Traffic can be fun in the 3:30 rush hour.
The 15 min trip took me 25 mins. I arrived at 3:55 pm. They close at 4 pm. I was welcomed and helped by all who I came in contact with. Got to the pile of scrap I wanted to look for the metal quickly. Found what I needed. Was back at cashier in 5 mins time. Just in time for them to close. Thanks for the great team work. You guys rock in my world of scrapyard Art.

I took a washer and dryer there and told them that the magnet stuck to it. It was the very end of the day and when I got my $7 I was taken back as to why it was so little. Here they paid me the tin rate. Last time I checked a washer and dryer are NOT made of tin. First and last time I will go there.
Can't really ask for better people to deal with. True family business that treats their customers and vendors like family members as well. Ron and Dan both have always been up front and straightforward, and great to do business with. Always fair when it comes to pricing, and keep a nice clean yard. Happy to recommend Sahd Metal Recycling to anyone in the Columbia, PA area that wants to be treated like family, not just a customer.
Took in 4 wood/coal stoves a while back and they only paid for 3. When i confronted them at the office they said 1 of the 4 was steel, not cast iron ,therefore they didn't pay for it. After a few smart comments from me they said i would have to do a separate transaction and weigh again. I decided not to and just won't ever go back. There are so many other scrap yards that are friendlier and pay much more its not worth dealing with these guys. From the looks of the other reviews this seems common practice to try not to pay for as much as possible. If I could give 0 stars it would still be to good for them.
I came in with a lot of scrap copper cable of different gauges. I expected to get copper prices. Instead I found out I got low voltage cable rate at the payout machine. My buddies told me I got half the rate they usually get in Lebanon. If someone at the yard would have communicated that they weren’t giving me the better copper price, I would have sorted my cable by gauge. Instead I got very ripped off. Part of that’s my fault, but I will not be going back. It’s clear they are content to just say nothing and take your copper for cheap.
