Always helpful if you are in need of help when unloading, There is always someone in the yard at all times if you have any questions, concerns, or if an issue has occurred. Open 7 days a week, No load is too Big or too small for them to purchase from you, their yard operators while doing their jobs, also are keeping an eye out for you to make sure that you are unloading in a safe environment so you won’t feel uncomfortable or worried about your safety while you are unloading your cargo. And, as always, they are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful there at Ben Weistmans of Scranton.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If treasure hunts and metal mountains excite you, welcome to the ultimate scrapyard wonderland! This place isn't just a recycling center—it's where lost nuts and bolts find their second act, where old car doors become modern art, and where you can channel your inner raccoon without judgment. The staff? Absolute legends. They treat scrap like fine wine, assessing each rusty relic with the precision of an archaeologist uncovering ancient artifacts (read: a lawnmower from 1993). You walk in with a trunk full of junk, and walk out feeling like an environmental hero—or at least like someone who got paid to clean out their garage. Every visit here is a journey through time and metal, with an ambiance somewhere between “Mad Max” and “extreme decluttering.” Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? If you enjoy turning junk into jackpot, then yes—yes, I would. 10/10, would get rid of my scrap here again.

The people/staff are very nice, but it appears they added different/sub categories to certain metals to lower the prices at this posting & since the last time I was here ,aluminum is not (in my opinion)worth saving ,,but clean, easy place to go to.

Just recycled a bunch of metal sitting around my garage and shed! Very nice people (e.g. scales, shop, yard, etc.). Easy process to follow, even for a homeowner (non-recycling professional ). Did something good (recycled) and made a few bucks!

I was just dropping off tin he seen that I had a can full of aluminum cans in the back of my truck I told him I was only getting rid of the tin I take my cans two fieglemans on the Morgan highway. I ended up taking everything to fiegel men's I guess I didn't speak clear enough English for him.

There scrap prices are decent, and the staff are very helpful and kind. The only big thing I have with them is there yard is managed by slobs. I’ve never been to a yard with so much glass & metal shards everywhere mixed in with dirt and gravel. The only time you’re not gonna catch a flat is if you have foam filled tires or sum tank treads. I just caught a flat in there yard today & all they had to say was sucks to be you. If you like keeping your scrap money for the things you want instead of new tires do not come here waste of money, nice staff, but nice staff don’t keep your tired from getting stabbed by there slob yard.

They claimed nearly everything I had such as a circular saw blade and pliers were all made of tin, I don't really know how to properly separate metals yet and they seemed to take FULL advantage of that. Either learn as much as you can about separating metals properly or go somewhere where they won't say the majority of the things you bring are tin.

They always have had the worse prices for the scrap metal you bring in I'll have to take my business elsewhere from now on.

I've been coming here for 4 years now. The people who work here were very helpful in teaching me how to separate metal properly. I was very ignorant like most people. When they said something about dirty metal I originally thought they meant dirt , like most people . Dirty metal is actually anything with 2% of another metal on it. So if you bring in aluminum lawn chairs that you want to recycle they will not be considered clean aluminum if you have not taken out every nut and bolt that are iron. When you first arrive you must drive over the scale and stop right in front of the windows and be weighed. And the green light comes on you can drive on into the junkyard and unload your tin in the far yard short steel closer up. You are expected to be courteous to other drivers in the yard and give fully way to any of the business trucks that belong to the junkyard there that may be sorting or loading. Your are expected to unload your own vehicle. What are considered finer metals are taken down to the shop on the right as you enter loaded into a cart and you take it into the building or wait in line for your turn for it to be weighed and looked over by the people who work there.

The workers were friendly and helpful, clean yard, inbound and outbound scales with functional lights to tell you to stop or go. I was 150 miles from home and if I’m ever in the area again I will stop back and use them if I have scrap metal!

Get to the gate with a dump trailer at 220 on a Saturday and it’s closed. Called and asked if they were using the one scale and lady tells me they close at 230 then proceeded to tell me it was 238 at time of call………. It’s 235 at the moment. If they can’t tell time I’m sure they can’t count…… good luck

Well the wait wasn't too long to get into the yard, but the wait getting into the office for payment was a little longer. All in all it wasn't too bad. Prices seemed reasonable.

Personally one of the best scrapyards that I have ever gone to we're going to very professional and very clean yard very clean yard and they are very fair in their weights and what they pay... I have been coming here since the 1st day they opened and I've always been treated fairly

Always happy after dropping scrap off here however, the front office could maybe use some help you make business move faster. The lady at the front desk is very nice, although, it seems like there's too much for just one person! Always reccomend them tho when someone asks for a good scrapyard. Thanks guys, you've helped my family through more hard times than you know!

It's was a good trip to see the understand of collecting unwanted junk. I had a small load and access was confusing but made it through with little "what do I do??".it is easier than thought. Just get out of vehicle and ask. People very helpful. Clunk your junk to Weitman's scrap yard.

Recycling 2020 everywhere you go here no matter what you recycle you get to see how much it weighs there’s no ball about it no hidden scales however you have to educate yourself on what you’re cashing in. I am impressed The only thing they need is instruction on their website and how to bring things in and sore thumb so you can get the most value for your scrap

Brought my aluminum cans in and when I went to go pick my money up they deducted $5.00 because I had a a couple of tuna fish cans in the pile. Do you know how many aluminum cans it takes to get $5.00. Really a couple of tin cans and you deduct that much. Done with Weitsman!

I only gave a 1 because O wasnt an option These people are liars and thieves .. I took 41 lbs of aluminum in today and they gave me $4.00 for it .They should be ashamed of themselves. When i questioned it , they had the nerve to tell me that it was tin . First and last time there.

They backed into our parked truck with a loader January 25 and are still jerking us around, not wanting to pay for it. The people at the yard are nice but hope you never have to deal with John.

My first and last time at this scrap yard. I should have known and questioned why I was to unload Aluminum patio chairs on a light steel & tin pile. The chairs were considered dirty aluminum do to screws left in the seat's cross brace, OK I understand that completely. Here is my issue Today's price clean alum was .46 cents per pound, dirty alum .14 cents per pound on 100 pounds that's a big difference for literally a handful of screws, as the chairs were welded construction except for said brace. I get the impression they are set up for big industrial accounts who don't really care or don't pay attention, not the little guy trying to make ends meet. They got me don't let them do it to you!!!
