On Saturdays there is always a long line. It moves quickly, everyone is courteous and it is the best place in the Waynesboro,Greencastle and Chambersburg area to take bulk items,and refuse.
Been going there for years now . The drive from Fayetteville is worth the trip . The prices are just right compared to the local landfill in my area that's charging $120 per pick up load lol . Friendly and helpful staff.
I moved to this area from another state where trash & recyclables were done differently. The paid trash & recycling service I signed up for didn't take any yard or tree waste like my previous did so things started accumulating for a couple years before finding this place. My first year I was able to get rid of yard waste & logs. I cleared my whole home of broken furniture, things left behind from my kids, collected junk without having to pay tons to have someone else pick it up & charge high prices to do so. Good affordable services with an awesome friendly staff always willing to help. I don’t claim to be worlds greatest backup driver & they notice & help guide me back. I’ve been coming here for about 4 years now & never had a bad experience. It’s also very liberating for me, as a woman, to have a place where I can just throw my stuff in the car & haul it here without having to rely on some big strong man to do it at their convenience & their high prices.
Nice place to go dump but the pricing is outrageous I ask the person at the check out how much they were charging per ton, he said 165.00 ave fee at other landfills is 65 per ton!!!
Good place to dispose of, leaf, gress, building materials, steel, and so on. The list is long. Some stuff you have to pay minimum fees. I use it every second weekend. Recommend
I couldn’t wait to sit down and write about the experience I had at this place. So professional and polite. They saw that I was new and showed me around and what to do. Another guy actually came and helped me unload everything I had. The fee was affordable and even on the way out I got a smile and wave goodbye. I promise you that was the greatest service I’ve had in that area. A lot of the other places are very rude and particular. Not this place. I suggest this spot to everyone. Thank you to the whole team there for being kind and helpful
Now I'm use to a open landfill but this was cool af, the nice gentleman who cashed me out was very professional and informative, he had that no nonsense boss look to him which is cool to see these days. Run a tight ship and it'll always sail. No foul smell and gangs of seagulls that'll rob you at gun point for the french fry that fell on floor from earlier that day. Priced well, pull in empty out and pay. Badabing badaboom easy peasy. It's actually pleasant, not to say I'm surprised but it's the dump lol. Something fulfilling about goin everytime.
The employees are helpful, polite, & cool. The only issue is that the authority/mgmt decided to stop recycling (over supply) which is shortsighted; recycling should at least occur at landfill by separating from refuse so that in future like materials can be easily recovered when it's economical.
The people here definitely keep busy but always have friendly words to say in passing. The process of lining up, weighing, dumping, weighing and paying is as streamlined as it can be.
I used to like this place. Very organized. Then they told me I could not buy a recycle permit because I do not live in Washington Township. Which is wrong. I do.
They need two scales should have one to way you in and one to weigh you in the weigh you back out its way to slow being weighed twice on the same scale
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Great place to recycle, throw away some bulk items, get rid of your scrap metal, or even toss those dead shrubs or broken tree branches. Might have to wait but never for very long.
