I had such a great experience at the O'Reilly store in Girard, PA on Thursday 1/29/2026 and this guy, maybe late 20's or early to mid 30's was absolutely fantastic! I'm just really bummed I didn't get his name though but I still wanted to give a shout out because he deserves it. I walked in and was very embarrassed about not knowing much about oil changes and he made me feel so secure! He showed me how to properly check the oil, the color of it and even the feel of it to get a better understanding and told me I was good till my appointment next week. I highly recommend this place because first impressions matter! He was so friendly, helpful and the best part of my night was ending it with a fist bump haha!
Last night, I discovered I had a headlight out. I get it, it was 8:30pm (they close at 9), and cold and snowy out. But I had hoped the 2 young men behind the counter could help myself and my elderly mother, install the headlight. The men refused to do so. They were annoyed and said "It's 8:30 and we close at 9." So they don't accept customers past 8:30? Maybe change your hours then. Or just admit you're lazy and don't want to be bothered because you might get a little cold outside. Or better yet, find another job. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this was very rude and terrible customer service. I will never be back.
I had a great experience at the O'Reilly store in Girard, PA and the store manager, Chad Snyder, helped me so much! My wiper blade flew completely off of my car on the highway when I was driving to visit family. I had actually never been to an O'Reilly before, but it was Thanksgiving and it was the only store open. Chad went out of his way to help me. He was incredibly cheerful and pleasant the whole time! He walked me through the different wiper options that would fit my car, and then came out in the freezing cold rain to install the wiper for me. Part of my wiper arm was bent, and the wiper I picked out initially didn't fit. He went above and beyond to fix it and get the wiper securely attached. The whole time, despite the rain, the holiday, the bent wiper arm and its trickiness, Chad was so kind, professional, and friendly! He saved my holiday and did everything he could to help me! I also noticed him greeting other customers in a very welcoming manner too. It was a completely different atmosphere from other auto parts stores. After this experience, I will be going to O'Reilly from now on!
Just giving my honest review.
I have to give this store 2 stars. Not because I want to. But because I have to. I love the tools and equiptment, its just from one younger 20 year old kid working 2nd shift weekday marking up the prices on items and selling them beyond tag price bc he needs tip money. I wasn't the one buying the parts of course but I was directing these two individuals that needed parts, to oriellys and I guess this is how they get treated?
I mean I get it. But at the same time I don't.
Words were exchanged I pleaded for both parties to remain calm but at the very end of picking out the right parts the Two needed.
He through on an extra 2 or 3 dollars per part, to pocket , I assume. Kinda sad. But hey we a gotta make a living somehow. Even if it's 2 or 3 dollars a part a day..
They are by far the best auto store around. I genuinely love them the most. Every employee is beyond helpful caring and do their best. There is multiple auto stores in my town. Actually 2 right next to O'Reillys and they beat the competition with ease.
They actually had some detailing tools for the inside of your car! I've looked everywhere, trying to find a set and they had them! Also I ordered a air filter and it came the next day as some places it would've taken 3 days,even bought a cabin filter which was cheaper than anywhere else! I'll go here again for hard to find things.
Very friendly staff and always eager to help even if they don't know the answer to things they do their best to help one of my favorite places to buy my auto supplies
Went in for a simple pack of gloves and all the workers were sitting talking in the back. Even yelled back asking if anyone was working, with no respond. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Great place to buy my parts. All the employees are very helpful and always nice. They also give military discounts also. They parts in stock when i need it. This is the only place I will buy my parts.
Great staff! Matt and Sara went above and beyond for me when I had car trouble. Ended up needing a new alternator. Thank you so much for what you both did to help me out. O'Reilly's are lucky to have great employees like you both!
Great staff, great prices, quality parts. If you want the right part the first time go here. If you want the wrong part 2 or 3 times in a row go across the street.
