Do not buy any of Carquest alternator or starter is a literally junk . Is wasting your money and your time i bought rebuilt starter for dodge dart not even one day and blowing up . I bought alternator for five different cars all they doing the same thing charging the car for some time and then when it got hot stop charging the car make the cars shut down. Last alternator broke the record after two hours stop charging can you believe it bought alternator remains a last for two hours. I complained the store several times they never blamed themselves they only care of rapping the customer . Replace an alternator from Napa auto part it work fine . Hopefully the headquarter manger see the review and can find out a better quality.

I already knew if I bought coolant that they would put it in my car for me because I have gone there many years ago but the young man that was working there was very polite but I could clearly see he didn't want to put it in my car by the way he was acting. I was asking him some questions to see how he would answer because I already knew the answer. I could see as I was driving away he was talking about me to the other associate. This younger generation is a whole different breed. LOL! Don't think I would go back to this location

One of my favorite places to shop, considering a job here, if I knew about cars.. but alas I'm just Chef Vin. seriously this store Rocks ,always buy older make vehicles, Chevys, and love upgrading and painting etc. This staff is great, thanks guys for making my hobby easy -er! Chef Vinni

Absolutely awful service every time we go in there. Slow service, not knowledgeable, and not friendly at all. We've started making a point to go to literally any other store than this one, which sucks because this one is so close to our house. Today, my husband went in for oil and stood at the counter to check out for 5 minutes while the staff just stood around and stared at him. If I could give zero stars, I would.

New people and the young man didn't seem to happy to be there and we ordered off line and they did t have all of it and it was not pulled got it the next day

Always a pleasure ans only place I buy my car parts unless its a dealer part only. 99.9% of the parts I require they can find or suggest a place to find what is needed even if its for a odd vehicle.

Every time that I visited Advance Auto Parts, no matter what location, I have had a truly wonderful experience!!! Not only do they have every type part for every type of car and SUV that I ever owned, but they also deliver, they have on-line ordering that comes with extra savings and super deals, they have curb side service, advice and the best customer service that I have ever seen. I highly recommend stopping in and shopping at Advance Auto Parts!! Don't forget to order on-line before you go and your part(s) will be waiting for you!

The customer service at this location is above and beyond, I mean these guys were so friendly, so helpful and just in general deserve a serious shout out for their kindness and professionalism. I will always choose this location for my car part needs.

Did not have the part I needed in Lemoyne. Was told the Steelton store had it in stock. They gave us the wrong part and had to go back a second time. Not impressed.

Luis was so incredibly helpful. If you need help go to them! Skip Paxton St and Union Deposit. Before coming here, I sold over 18 wrong parts between 5 different stores in the Harrisburg area. I spent an entire day driving around parts. The original part they sold me was making my engine misfire. Luckily it didn’t damage my engine. However, it did double the labor taking apart the engine to switch out the parts twice. Sigh… plus my gas and time running all over. That same wrong part was sold to me three times from different manufacturers. Instead of sending me around to a bunch of stores like previous places, Luis had everything brought into his store for me. He took the time to make sure that I had 100% the right part. He caught the previous stores error by going the extra step to check the cross reference description. When this was done he could see that my model of vehicle was not listed in the matching applicable vehicles. He listened and went above and beyond to get the right part. Excellent service and professionalism. Thanks for helping me finally get the right part. My vehicle is running excellent. Thanks

Went to see if i could run a test on my check engine light, they said they arent running tests right now, which is fine, but the worker was an miserable jerk about it. Ignored us when we walked in. Attitude. He couldve been friendly about it, but his failure to do so resulted in this review 🙃

If you would have your order delivered to you, you would need to wait for ever. Their delivery drivers are talkative and slower than turtle. Good luck to have your part delivered.

Richards Great and gets a 5 star but last time I was there the front clerk "L" was extremely rude he gets 1 star It was not the first time either. That guy even tried to tell me once that my battery was old and could not possibly be under warranty "because it has a flat top". It was under warranty.. .was less than a year old and he almost had me buy a new battery. The manufacturer actually replaced it free. He doesn't know what he is doing and he is terribly rude. It's shocking.

The Steelton store is a helluva alot better than the Paxton St location. In the Steelton location employees at least give u a chance to talk and treat you like a normal person. It took me a few months to even go back into an Advanced Auto Parts after my issues with the employee's and how they treat and talk to you when your at the Paxton St location. All in all after my issues with Paxton St I'm still not happy having to go to A.A.P.'s

So in the website I order the wrong battery reading and trusting the easy refund notice and why does the manager warns me.that once you buy you keep electronics. Can anyone explain this bigotry to me please I would really appreciate it . I had my receipt and order online . Just not the right brand I now learned of which anyways they do not carry.

Was there 2 days ago and had an amazing customer service, I had a couple questions about my car and Ms.Coco went above and beyond to help me and make sure that I didn’t leave the store until I was satisfied, she greeted me with a smile and offered to help me in any possible way that she could. Brian Mehaffie has always gone up and beyond with any issue for my vehicles. He takes the time to make sure I am ordering the correct part, and he makes sure if the part needs a loaner tool that I pick it up as well. I went there looking for help because my battery had died but instead I got the worst customer service ever they don't know what they're talking about they have no knowledge of cars at all is what I feel all they know are the car parts they actually here named model everything but they can't help you with your actual car they have no knowledge at all you can ask them for advice you can ask them to look and maybe help you and the customer service there is really rude I only liked it the one guy everybody else look like they didn't even want to help you they weren't even doing anything but standing there behind the counters and not one of them came up to me I waited there for about 10 minutes and then finally this one guy came up he was super nice but not knowledgeable at all about cars I feel like if you work in an auto place or sell any type of audio equipment you should know something if anything about cars

Drove off the highway with the battery light on and got there 7:50. Even though it was close to closing the staff came out and evaluated the battery situation for me. Saving me from breaking down on the highway! They advised me to a repair shop ASAP because my alternator was malfunctioning. So I was able to get to the hotel and then to a repair shop the next morning. Some shops will close early or avoid a problem close to closing so I appreciate these folks going the extra mile.

Best Advance in the area. The parking lot can sometimes be quite full of people hanging out or working on their car, but the service has always been pretty good for an auto parts store.

I came here when I was in a bit of a bind (the week of 9/5), but the staff here was amazing! I'm a college kid out here from New Jersey and my car battery gave up on me. After receiving a jump in the city, I drove all over to find a battery replacement, as my car only takes one type of course... My mom (back in NJ) was calling AAPs all over Harrisburg as I was driving with the last charge my battery could get! The employee who helped me was Juan. The computer said the installation should take 30 min since it's a Cadillac, but he had it done in 5 minutes while on the phone! I thank him so much. My roommate and I have no idea about cars and we're 200 miles from home, but he was so reassuring the entire time. He even applied our NJ membership discount for us. Thank you so much, Juan!

It knocked my socks off how amazing the staff was. Sure, another Advanced Auto Parts may have given me the wrong part, but when I went to this AAP the staff went above and beyond to make up for it. This is the place I will always go to for car parts.
