I wish I could give 0 stars. This trash company is a load of garbage. COUNTLESS times they have missed pick ups. I'm not talking about forgetting a section of the route by accident, I'm talking about picking up a while street but then intentionally driving past 3 or 4 houses and just skipping them. My husband has literally chased them down the road before and they ignore his request to come back and get the trash they missed. We have a large family and cannot afford a missed pick up. I often call to schedule a pick up when they miss and they never come. On top of all of their other insanity, they double charged me this last billing period and won't give my money back and just said they will credit me for the following billing period. Ridiculous. Maybe I need my money now. This company is trash. Any township considering this company-please don't! I'm on the verge of just taking all my trash and dumping it infront of their office doors.
I have never had such bad service as I received from republic in the last couple of weeks. Totally understandable with the snow storm we had 2 weeks ago the trash would not be picked up. Was told that there would be no service the next week. I was told to put the excess trash beside the can? Who would be picking it up since an arm comes down from the truck to pick up the can. So I'm sitting on almost 3 weeks of trash. Called republic today to customer service was on the phone anout an hour, was told there is not a pickup/can scheduled for this address even though they can clearly see my account. I have had service with them for several years. The customer service rep stated I would get a call by the end of the day with a resolution. No phone call received from them. Customer service skills definately need improvement....
I am so disappointed in this company. They are the WORST. We have had 2 weeks in a row of missed trash pick ups. They were supposed to come yesterday. Couldn’t pick up during to “unforeseen circumstances”. Was supposed to be picked up today and the entire neighborhood still has full trash cans at 6:00pm. This is unacceptable. No follow up communication, no credits to our bills. Horrible service.
Trash can is never empty fully, when you request missed pick-up they never come. When I called to file a complaint I was told I would receive a return call and never did. I had to call back again which I did. The new guy they had on our route has trash dropping all over the street. It's just ridiculous!!!
Hands down the WORST trash service/company I've had to deal with and I'm half a century old.
They lose payment records, occasionally just don't show up, bulk item pick up is a nightmare and they lie about picking up yard waste - they do not have a yard waste truck even though they say they do. Even the recycling men have advised just to hide yard waste in the recycling bin cause republic services won't be picking it up. After sorting out a 2 year long debacle w them, they started targeting me - refused to take my trash cause "it needs to be on the curb 3-5 ft away from a car".... well in a townhouse w parking directly in front makes that impossible. Leaving stickers on my can saying they wouldn't take it cause the lid was left open (the wind blew it open), dropping and leaving trash all over the street, then to top it off, ya gotta go exploring down your street to find the cans that belong to you.... I cant say enough about the horrible service with this company - stay away if you can (<--- see what i did there lol).
Republic services has not picked up my trash repeatedly. I have to call them. On top of that they raised the rate 7 dollars. I can't even get them to pick it up much less pay more. Tell me your thoughts.
This is the WORST !!!! Company ever. I just moved to Middletown and 4 week went by without a pickup. So I set video to record pickup and guess what? They picked up 1 can with auto pickup then 4 more bags. Worst
3 times in the last 5 months our recycling hasn't been picked up. Even after scheduling a "recovery pickup" no one showed. Very unreliable

"Reporting missed pick up" online is a joke. The link sends you in circles and is useless. Our pick up day is Friday and their office is only open till 5 so their customer service is nonexistent
Was involved with a hit and run with this company. Garbage truck hit our car while making an illegal right turn and took off. Company doesn’t seem to care no return phone calls.
Very convenient location in Highspire Pa. Watch out for The Motor Carrier Division of the police department. They are always patroling for the big commercial trucks but will stop and fine the in town users as well. Highspire's Motor Carrier officer stopped me pulling into the lot because it looked like my ladder was hanging to far in the rear. They pulled out a tape measure and climbed up to measure it. It was 12 inches too far and instead of letting me put a flag; they issued a $400 fine. Republic services is great but you may get caught up in vehicle inspections at this location. Make sure you're vehicle is perfect when coming here. They will also fine you for being overloaded so make sure your truck is within its weight rating. They watch the scale.
