I'll spare you the long story of how Pep Boys on Jonestown Road purposely broke my car to make more money from their contract with Carvana / Silver Rock (If you want to know just go read their reviews). What I will say is that Pep Boys on Jonestown Road is scamming Carvana customers and I highly advise taking your vehicle to Gary Coke who is a dependable, highly skilled and trustworthy mechanic. He worked with Silver Rock to get my claim approved and he fixed what Pep Boys purposely broke in less than 45 minutes.

Excellent, Excellent service! I received Gary's number from a young lady that had her car serviced by him on many occasions and he did not disappoint. Gary came to my house to diagnose the issue that was going on with my car (my alternator went out) and he kept me up to speed about everything. He is very knowledgeable about his craft and explained everything to me in a way that I can understand it. He fixed my car in record time and got it back to me quickly. Gary is a really nice gentleman and I highly recommend him for your auto needs/repairs.
We were hours into a roadtrip when we noticed something was suddenly wrong with our engine. We were too far from our destination to continue without solving the problem. Did an amazing job for me and my work van! Rebuilt the motor and engine 2012 Ford transit with over 210,000 miles. Took it to the dealership i purchased it from new. I’m glad I was able to come across Mr.Coke for my auto repairs. After getting bad service from Costa repair services, Mr. Cokes was able to fix my all problems and clear my engine codes. Replaced my oxygen sensors as well as my flex fuel sensor along with a free oil change. I couldn’t have asked for more excellent service in my time of need. I appreciate him and he gained a life long customer as well.
Can not say enough good things about Gary. Took my car to a trusted mechanic for pre inspection and was told it needed control arms, inner and outer tie rod ends as well as rear shocks. I bought all the parts and talked to Gary who quoted me a beyond reasonable price to do the work. I planned on having to get the car aligned after he was done with all of the work. Dropped the car off early on a Saturday morning, he called me quite a few hours later on his way back from having it aligned ! I never even asked him to do that and he charged me NOTHING extra to do it. To top it all off he informed me that neither the inner or outer tie rod ends need to be replaced. So I can return those parts. I would recommend Cokes to anyone and everyone. Great guy !

Gary came through for me with some very tight timelines. He did an incredibly thorough inspection for me of a car I am considering buying the same day I called. His inspection was supported by a number of pictures and videos and an informative phone call report. I'm from out of town and was unable to have my local mechanic inspect the car, but Gary made me feel just as comfortable. Great service and great prices....highly recommend.
I met him at an event back in 2011 and sent him a message when my vehicle broke down,not only did he respond to me immediately, he reconstructed it for half the price his other competitors offered me and he was done in less than a week.
Updated July 23rd 2024, I called him yesterday about brakes he installed in my vehicle last and he checked and verified that I had 2 years warranty on them and he saved me over $843.00 in repairs, I will never let anyone other than him touch my vehicle any time I am in Pennsylvania.
I took my car to a well known shop in the area. Paid them much money to resolve an issue that they never resolved. They had me come back 3 times for the same issue and because they didn’t have the man power to work on my car. But than had many family and friends tell me about Mr. Coke auto. Gave him a call he got me right in and only charged me half of the total i paid for 3 trips to the well known shop. He even cleaned out my engine after they looking over how i had a whole nest in my filter that they were supposedly fixed

Sooo happy i found Cokes Auto for a last minute mobile repair! I wasn't sure if mobile mechanics were still around. I had gotten in a collision and was looking for a mechanic close to me. Gary happened to be one of the closest ones with the best reviews and now I see why. He came out and checked the car free of charge and pointed out everything that would need done with explanations as to why. He was super friendly and had lots of jokes. He helped me take care of things with the insurance company and kept me up to date on everything that was happening with the car. Gary Coke is a God send! I was bullied by my warranty company and told nothing was wrong with my car when in fact it needed a new transfer case ($3,000 fix) Gary was able to look at it and diagnose it in less than 10 minutes. He helped me deal with the warranty company helped get it covered in full! He took care of everything and took all the stress away. 100% would recommend, and I will not be going anywhere else!
On July 11th we came to harrisburg from 2 hours away to check out a vehicle. We really liked it so wanted a mechanic to look it over before buying it and make sure it was good. Gary got us in quickly and was very understanding to our situation. He checked it over and found issues with the vehicle. He explained everything thoroughly and even showed us the issues( like the rusted bumper). It would of cost us additional money to fix it had we bought it. The seller didn't bring the price down so we didn't buy it.
Thankfully Gary helped us by finding those issues! Now we can put the money we saved for a better vehicle thanks to him. If we lived closed, he would definitely be our mechanic to go to.

Always there at crunch time, my coolant tube exploded on my while driving. I was in the middle of nowhere and gary was very willing to come and help me with the problem once I called him but I told him I was to far and had a tow truck coming to deliver the car and just that fast he fixed my engine coolant thermostat....the funny think is the day before I went in to get my 2 valve cover gaskets replaced and once he openedy hood he instantly said he smelled my coolant leaking but I didn't listen lol. Im just thankful to have a mechanic locally whose always willing to help his people without a hassle
