C&P Towing, Automotive, and Body Shop – Dangerous, Dishonest, and Completely Unfit for Business
I’m leaving this review to strongly warn others—do not take your vehicle to C&P Towing, Automotive, and Body Shop under any circumstance. What happened to me wasn’t just unprofessional—it was dangerous, negligent, and borderline fraudulent.
I brought my diesel truck in for repairs. After weeks of silence, they finally told me it was ready. I picked it up and, trusting their word, let my wife drive it. While driving on the highway, the truck suddenly lost power, creating a serious safety hazard that could have resulted in a fatal accident.
I immediately had the truck towed back to C&P, expecting them to make it right. Instead:
The truck sat for weeks with no updates.
It was left unlocked in an unfenced lot along a public road, with my personal documents still inside.
It was missing the fuel filler cap and once again non-operational.
After finally giving up, I had it towed to a professional shop—Zimmey’s Automotive—who discovered 1.5 gallons of water in the fuel tank, likely due to vandalism because of C&P’s total lack of vehicle security.
Zimmey’s diagnosed and resolved the actual issue within four days, with clear communication the entire time.
To make matters worse, C&P requested cash payment—a red flag suggesting they’re dodging accountability (and possibly taxes). No receipts. No documentation. No professionalism. Just delay, deflection, and damage.
They misdiagnosed the problem, failed to fix it, risked my family’s safety, and left my truck vulnerable to further damage. Then they disappeared refusing to do any work when the truck was returned to them.
C&P is not a business you can trust. They are negligent, evasive, and flat-out dangerous. Save yourself the risk, the expense, and the potential tragedy. Zimmey’s Automotive was everything C&P is not—honest, fast, competent, and professional.
I called this place @ approximately 11:30 am today to have my vehicle towed I was told the driver would call when he was coming. It is now5:57 pm… not a call text nothing I will absolutely not do business with this company, they showed me all I need to know.
Just recently moved to Linglestown from Florida. I typically do all my own work however I needed a wheel bearing pressed on my Saturn S series and did not have a press. Kenny answered the phone promptly and politely when I called and was able to accommodate me next day. I dropped off my knuckle and he called me 30 minutes later to tell me it was all done. Very nice mom and pop shop hard to find these days. Keep up the great service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ looking forward to doing business again in the future. Thanks again. Cheers. George
This towing company was suppose to take a BLACK vehicle from a car lot but took our car instead. Our car is BLUE and was in the process of being fixed by the mechanic shop they got our car from , and by them towing our car it made our car Undrivable and now they don’t want to be responsible for the damages they cost.
This place is not like your regular automotive shops, the owners Kenny and Tammi treat their employees like family and are actual role models to workers. This shop is one of the best in that area with outstanding work and very reasonable prices. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a shop with integrity and professionalism

Being left on hold for 15 minutes listening to the owner and his employees chitchat about Pomeranian and husky dogs, which ultimately ended up with their phone being left off the hook so that no other customers can call in for the rest of the day.
But the ultimate reason why I would say don’t go here to waste your time or more importantly money is that the will price gouge you on parts.
I called up to get a new exhaust system for my diesel truck… He gave me a quote for a banks exhaust system downpipe back $800 plus installation totaling 1100+ dollars. He told me he would get me pricing on a lesser expensive and a more expensive system… I Waited a week and received no contact then tried calling to no avail. I left three messages after being given a ridiculous Excuse once of him being out on a test drive and never got a call back… but what should really keep you away from this place is that the most expensive exhaust system that banks makes for my truck is $450 bucks and shipping sure, as heck is not $350 so if you want to be gouged stop on by this place and talk to this guy. I’m not gonna waste my time though I’ll turn a wrench and keep money in my pocket and turn to fleet pride when need be.
What is up with mechanics thinking that there holier than all holiness God‘s gift whatever you wanna call it without the time or concern or care to have any level of customer service. Let alone common sense as to what is up certainly out of line to charge. It’s just a diesel truck if you got a charge that much bank for a production exhaust system and charge installation you all got problems.
I had to do the work myself to get my truck running as my emissions had my truck in limp mode.
I’ve never touched an exhaust and it out and replaced with a straight pipe in 2 hours in my driveway on cardboard with no jacking up or complaining.

We broke down the day before Thanksgiving..
Called them up they were willing to take a look and had us out of that garage the same day... highly impressed.. Can't say enough good about their service..
I can only say the price seemed a little high ???? Furthermore, I was charged a credit card surcharge that they did not inform me about at estimate.. I added this because I specifically asked if they took credit card, cuz I planned to use discover card... And I looked around while we stood there waiting on the estimate to get done and didn't see any signs that said there was a charge for credit card use... Otherwise, I would have gladly brought cash and saved some money..... So save money - bring cash

January 2020, I took my car in for service based on referrals to this garage. The sensor for my right rear tire needed replaced. When I picked my car up, the mechanic told me "you lied to me, the left front tire sensor needed replaced". (In so many words, he called me a liar to my face). I told him I went by the indicator and that is what I expected to be fixed.
Since he had the equipment to check the sensor, I took him at his word, even though I suspected he was wrong and the car indicator was correct.
Driving the next day, my right rear sensor light came on again. I took the car back and this time the correct sensor was replaced. I was not happy with the entire incident and was discussing that with the mechanics when the owner walked in.
When I expressed my unhappiness, he offered to waive labor when I bring the car in to have the other two sensors replaced. That is not compensation for the $300.00 plus I spent when I should paid for one sensor!
I sent the owner a letter, detailing once again my unhappiness with my experience. I wanted him to be fully aware that his employee called a new customer a liar and did unauthorized work.
An apology phone call would have been appreciated but I have heard nothing. I will not return nor will I recommend this garage. Poor customer service and unprofessional treatment of a customer.
Update May 2021: The right rear tire sensor, which was "replaced" in January 2020, had to be replaced again 16 months to the day.
I find this unacceptable and now I wonder if a new sensor was installed or did they use a refurbished one?
Incidentally, as noted in my previous post, the wrong sensor was replaced. When I cross referenced the invoices, in 4 days the cost of service, parts, and sales tax had increased.
If anything, I should be been given a discount or refund for their error and my inconvenience.
The competitor who replaced this sensor did give me a discount and it was not their error! That speaks volumes to their customer service ideals.
While many others may be happy with C & P Auto, I am not and if anyone asks, I will advise them to go elsewhere.
Seems to be getting more and more expensive there. I do think they do good work, but about time to find another mechanic. The price for a brake job the tree seems quite high.
Scratched my car in a parking garage - not only were they reasonably priced, they did an impeccable job! Accurate price and time estimates, and they even washed it for me! I'm very pleased with the results, my car looks as good as new!
I needed a new air-conditioning pump and belt installed. My van was towed in there on Friday late in the evening and on Monday they had it repaired for less than the price that they had quoted me. Will be taking my van there to get all my repairs done because they do reliable work in a timely manner at a reasonable price.
Very knowledge and friendly staff. Showed me the old part and what was wrong with it. Explained exactly what they did. They even looked at something else small for me without an extra charge.
Brought my girlfriend's beetle here for a radiator service and coolant leak fix. Not only is the coolant leak still not fixed but her a/c is not working now. Definitely going to Tire Mart next time.
These guys have yet to disappoint me- I am one of those people who tends to ignore "small issues" until they turn into catastrophic mechanical issues which I need fixed immediately. They give me the obligatory speech about keeping up with regular maintenance, then they give me a straightforward, realistic estimate of time and cost. On MORE than one occasion, when they've called to say my car is ready, I have been pleasantly surprised to find out that it turned out to be significantly less work than they had guessed. I continue to take my car to C&P and no one else, because the fact that they aren't interested in upselling, overcharging, or taking advantage of an opportunity to get over on me, makes them a rare gem as far as I'm concerned. I highly recommend this place.

These folks are tops. Very knowledgeable, honest, and pleasant to deal with.
My son turned me on to this place . I think they're my mechanics and body work specialist for LIFE . I know a good thing when I see it their totally capable of everything under the sun from slapN a motor or tranny in to body work they can and will get er done ! I'm fortunate to have ran into a bunch of guys such as them. In the process of purchasing a Dodge truck from them and i'll use them for all my automotive needs cause I TRUST THEM and now a days that's as rare as finding a honest Politician other than Trump !
