A few weeks ago, I received a flat tire on the side of 83. I was coming from one wedding and trying to get to a second wedding which I was a bridesmaid in, cutting it very close on time. I called H&S towing and they were literally there within minutes, I couldn’t believe how fast they arrived to my car. The gentleman got right to work and changed the tire so quickly. I was back on the road so quickly that I barely lost any time at all. I cannot thank H&S Towing enough for their service. I highly recommend!!!!

Last night, I had contacted AAA Roadside Assistance for help jumpstarting my battery. Not only did their battery tech fail to jump the battery, but their dispatcher also failed to notify the truck driver that I was parked in a driveway so they wouldn’t have been able to tow me out.
After waiting about an hour and a half, the tow service from H&S arrived. Jared the driver may have nearly drove away (my fault, I wasn’t outside of my car), but once he came back around, he got to work immediately. Jared was professional and provided me with exceptional, personable service. He not only jumpstarted my car with a powerbox instantly, but also diagnosed the problem for free.
I provided 5 stars despite not having the battery also replaced there on the spot, but the issue was due to the key fob battery being dead, not the car battery itself being at 16% post-diagnosis. Since we got that key fob replaced today, no issues thus far. Can’t thank you enough Jared for all the help! We hope to call H&S directly for our service needs if we have any more car problems locally in York in the future.
My husbands work truck tire popped on the Pa turnpike. H & S sent a tow truck driver to change the tire. He got there and didn’t have the correct tools to even change it. After my husband sat out there for 5 1/2 hrs. they sent a second tow truck and he got the tire on , put a little air in the tire and told my husband, I’m sorry but you’ll have to drive slow to the next service station and get air. After he paid $1300.00 WOW just WOW! Bad BUSINESS H & S TOWING..
Car was locked out ALLL DAY, dealt with 2 other towing companies they both couldn't help me. They said there was something toasting the connection between the battery. I called H & S and Jared came out and figured out to jump my car it needed a small unique tweak. Boom in a few mins he got it jumped, juiced, and towed to the service center. He dropped it off at the dealer for us and signed all the paper work for us like a legend. Saved the day!!
Jared was so incredibly helpful and helped figure out how to get the car started again after two previous tow companies tried earlier in the day. He explained every step of the process to us and reassured us that our vehicle was cared for.

Almost a year ago now, Dan D. basically saved my life and was incredibly quick when “contracted through” AAA. Cylinders misfired and he was even kind enough to run a diagnostic and give me his best advice. Saved us a massive headache. Picked me up on a dangerous side of the highway where there was a blind corner and he swiftly got my car (and mother) out of the way where we were safe. Great conversationalist too as he calmed my nerves on the ride to the shop. Was pretty late at night too. Amazing service and am still thankful to this day (was just moving and saw the business card I forgot in my car)
The worst roadside service I have ever received. Lost a tire and rim on Monday June 23 at noon. Placed service request shortly thereafter. Assignment was not complete until Tuesday June 24 at 8 pm. Numerous commitments were made and not kept. Charged me $3,000. Stay away. You have been warned.
When my wife and 3 kids broke down on the pa turnpike hours from their destination, to the rescue came h and s towing. They made a very stressful and harrowing situation into a comforting experience. They didn't gouge us as they could have but rather were fair and reasonable. They went out of their way to make my family comfortable. With my wife alone with the kids on the side of the ride, instead of a nightmare we had a very positive experience. I am very grateful for the right people in the right place at the right time.

BEWARE!! 1 star is too much. Contracted through AAA to take my van back to dealership north of Philadelphia (Grace Auto Group) for work. Vehicle was dropped at the wrong place. Missed a call from the driver in the middle of the night because heaven forbid I was sleeping, driver left no message or anything indicating there may be an issue & only attempted to call once. Tried to return the call when I woke up, no answer.
Called dealership, van is not there. Called towing company which said they had pictures from the driver proving it was in the correct place, that the dealer is lying. Hung up to check the pictures and the pictures with my van are in front of an entirely different name dealer and address than where it was to be delivered to (shown in the pictures attached).
Called back and spoke with a different dispatcher, a female at H&S Towing this time. Originally told me they would get it taken to the correct location, put me on hold to come back and say that its over 3 hours away from them & told me it was not their problem. I asked how it was not their problem, they dropped my vehicle off at the wrong address, that something needs done to rectify the situation. Tried to work through a solution, maybe a refund of some sort, them get someone at their expense to make up for their mistake. Her response... I should have heard my phone ringing in the middle of the night, and hung up on me.
My van is currently stranded north of Philly with me now having to pay more money on top of the money I already had to pay, to get taken to the location I already paid to be dropped off at.
Makes a lot of sense right?

Truck broke down Monday at 1pm. He finally showed up right before dark, just in time to take my wheels to get tires replaced the next day 1st thing in morning. He wouldn't pick up his phone or call us back. Had to reach out to the managers to get him to call back. After a full day of empty promises. He had back together 32 hours later. Gave me an invoice with no break down of pricing. Then told me he would impound my truck and trailer if not paid. I was forced into paying a $3000 invoice for 2 tires and a trailer hub. He is a crook and a wannabe mechanic. No one at the facility cared either. I'll attach a copy of his invoice that was sent to me.
Michael Murchall and H&S helped me out of a tight spot by towing my classic motorcycle. Michael was super professional and efficient and didn't get a single scratch on my custom bike. I really appreciate Michael's expertise and H&S ensuring that it's employees are well trained. Will definitely be using H&S in the future!
Dispatch Failed to provide quote. Would not give me their hourly charge, would not give me service call fee. Dispatch said Tech will provide quote when onsite. They sent a tech out and he replaced the tires within 30min without notifying our driver. Then charged a ridiculous fee. Again no quote, nothing. They then threatened to call turnpike police to tow us because we didn't even authorize the work..
A bunch of scammers, DO NOT USE.
This place is a joke. I'm a business owner too. And I would never treat a customer the way they entreated me and my customer. Called for to have a freightliner towed back to my shop i gave them exact locations and addresses.They quoted me $920 when they got to my shop, they demanded over 2 times that much and then told me they were gonna inpound it if I did not pay. Do not use these people they will rip you off
Daniel Dishong towed our ‘53 Sunbeam Alpine on his flatbed truck to our home garage, up our very winding, and ultimately steep driveway with absolute grace. It was a real pleasure to ride with and experience such a professional

H&S Towing saved the day!! My daughter is a commuter college student and her car broke down in York. After waiting for over 2hrs for another tow co, my daughter had to call AAA and they said H&S would handle the tow. AAA said it would be an hour and Jared showed up within 30 mins and towed the car back to the dealer in Harrisburg!

I was parked outside a vets office when I realized there was a huge piece of metal causing my rear tire was to rapidly deflate.
Daniel happened to be in the parking lot and saw my issue, and he volunteered to help me out. He had all his tools in his trunk, and helped me get my car jacked up, the popped tire off, and put it in my husbands car. We then drove to another body shop where they were able to patch and fill the tire, while leaving my car in the parking lot of the vets office. Daniel had to run home for something, but gave us his cell phone number so we could call him when we were back with the fixed tire so he could come and help us get it back together.
Just an awesome guy and experience. What could have ruined our morning turned into meeting a great neighbor and a good story. Thank you Daniel!
Blowout tire on turnpike safety patrol called H&S since it participates with AAA. Managed to happen during the windiest evening and Jared still got it done FAST! Awesome experience highly recommend for flat tire changes!
Had a tire blow out on the PA Turnpike on my way from a work trip. Dan from H&S Towing was dispatched to help. He got to my vehicle within 20 minutes and had the tire changed in 2! The guy busted his hump, did a great job, and recommend a place open late to patch the tire. I was able to make it home the same day. Can’t thank Dan, and the team at H&S Towing enough.

Tonight I needed my car jump and this nice young gentleman. Brian Gonzalez was very helpful. He came right away got it started. He made sure everything was fine and he was very nice and I barely come across people that actually care about situation when it’s dealing with your car and he was very concerned and he was very helpful and I really appreciate all the help and I think this is awesome company You guys have a great employee. First time I’ve ever been stranded on the PA turnpike and H&S saved the day. Specifically JASON!!!! He was the absolute best. He was extremely quick and efficient in getting my car on the truck and safely drove me to tires plus to get a replacement belt installed. He was so kind and funny and i was extremely comfortable the entire time. I hope this never happens again but if it does Jason from H&S will be my first call. He was a real lifesaver and I’m very grateful!
I flew into Harrisburg to pick up a 30 year old military truck and made it about 25 miles before breaking down. H&S dispatched Leroy, on a Sunday, who while relatively new to towing did an amazing job of making sure the truck was towed carefully/safely back to their job (even though we were only going 2 miles).
Monday morning Kyle called me to chat about what had happened and I explained what I thought the problem was, but they diagnosed the actual issue very quickly and had the truck running great the same day!
They did a thorough inspection of the truck and didn't find anything else wrong, although I expressed concern about driving ~1700 miles back to Colorado on 30 year old tires. Although there was nothing wrong with the tires (no cracking, dry rot, etc) I didn't want to have a blowout in the middle of nowhere so they were able to get new tires sourced and installed quickly to get me on the road (for less than they quoted)!
Even while I was in the waiting room I had several people check on me asking if I wanted a bottle or needed anything else while the new tires were being installed.
The one final thing that really makes H&S special is that Kyle called me 3 days later to see if I made it back to Colorado safely!
How many other businesses nowadays would follow up once they were paid and you were down the road and out of sight? I don't know of any shops here in Colorado with that level of service!
Honestly, I can't say enough great things about H&S Towing as they truly went above and beyond. Plus the final bill was more than fair to boot!

We broke down on the turnpike, on our way to our honeymoon. Within minutes a turnpike utility check was there to assist us. After discussing the situation he called H&S for us. They were there within 10 minutes. The driver for H&S, Dillon was very knowledgeable and professional at the scene. He has us loaded up quickly and drove to our requested destination. He was very personable and kind on our trip and helped us out once we got to the dealership. He greatly reduced the stress of the situation. Overall a great service!
