I had a 2001 blue Chevy S-10. The police impounded it and after I tried to get it back by calling them several times I finally get a letter in the mail this guy has it and I have 30 days to come. So that tells me he had it for a while until I bugged the cops enough and then he sent me the letter which I responded to immediately. When I go to pick up my truck the next day because he wouldn’t let me pick it up that same day… I noticed there are some parts inside of it that don’t belong and other small abnormalities. My keys don’t work in the lock on the passenger side door. The hood doesn’t shut right. And then later on down the road, I find out that my whole four-wheel-drive assembly was all ripped apart. I also found out later that the passenger side door had been swapped with a Chevy blazer door along with my hood. After I confronted the owner about it, he told me the police did that and that’s how he got it which I don’t believe for one second. Why would the police swap out body panels that only salvage yard would profit off of? Some shady business between the state police Newport and this business owner and unclaimed vehicles/ vehicles that were under investigation and held and not released, even though they had no evidence for anything and then they sent it to a salvage yard after I continuously reached out to them. And then when I get it back the salvage yard went through it and took a bunch of stuff. Real shady corrupt business.

I've been going to them for over a year now for all my spare parts for my vehicles, they always have a good selection, and are great with my kids, even letting the one "help" collect metal from buckets with a magnet while I looked around at some of the junkers. They even like to say hi to my dog! He usually offers me better prices if I pull the parts myself, but his prices and speed if they pull them beat anyone else I've gone to by a long shot. Fair prices for scrap, a little less than what I'd get in Harrisburg, but reality is i'm saving time and gas that more than makes up for it, and dealing with great people. In fact heading there this week and for less than $200 am finishing the rebuild on my truck i want.

Saw an add on Craigslist for used GM parts and I called them (Be Green Recycle, Inc.) and asked them if they had any 90 Chevy 3.1 engines and that I was actually looking for a good block (for my son's car that has a cracked block and is loosing coolant but the motor ran great) to swap his parts into, they said that they would check it out and call me back. On March 6, 2016 they called me back and said that the had a engine that it would be $250.00 and that they would need a $100.00 deposit before they would pull the motor out. I asked $250.00 for a core engine? and the woman replied that it was a drop and go motor (which leads me to believe that it was a good running engine) so I said that I would take it (that was going to save me a lot of work). I paid the deposit with my debit card. That weekend on a Saturday, I went to pick up the motor and they had me pay for the motor first then they told me that I had to go up the road to their other facility (Marysville Motor Cars Inc) to pick up the engine. I went there and back my truck up to the garage door where I saw an engine hanging on a engine hoist. Johny the owner was standing at the hoist and pushed it up to my truck. I saw that the upper intake was loose and the fuel rail and injectors were missing. I said "this is not a drop and go engine like I was told". Johny said that he personally knew all about the engine, because he had installed it into one of his customers cars and reassured me that it was a good running motor and that it was a Jasper remanufactured motor with no more than 50k mile on it. I took the motor on his word and brought it to my shop where I took the lower intake off to make sure nothing fell into the intake (before I could compression test the motor). I saw that there was 2 inches thick of sludge in the valley of the block. I cleaned the sludge out and found that # 3 cylinder's lifter was blown apart which would of caused loss of oil pressure. The motor has several dead cylinders (no compression). I put the motor all back together and returned the motor and also demanded that they refund my money back to me, but they said that they have a no cash back policy, that they would replace the motor instead. They had me listen to one particular motor and from what I heard it sounded good enough for me to work with. I've been calling and calling these people but they keep giving me the run around and a bunch of excuses why they haven'the pulled out my replacement motor. Here it is June 15, 2016 and I still have no motor (no money or motor, they have it all. If you ask me, I consider this theft by deception, and that is against the law!). These people are chronic liers and thieves. So now my son can'take get a job this summer because of these people. I am no dummy when it comes to the automotive industry, I have been a certified technician for over 30 years and currently a technician for Hoffman Ford. 01/01/2019 Update on my dealings with Be Green Recycle, Inc. It has been well over over two years now and this company has failed to contact me to make good with a replacement motor for my son's car (which is still in my shop without a motor and still my son has been unable to go to work due to not having a car) nor did they refund my money back to me. I don't know how these crooks can stay in business they way they dishonestly operate. I hope by posting my review that I can help someone to avoid the headaches associated with dealing with these yahoos.
