What clients say about Armstrong Valley Winery in Halifax Township (PA)

There was something weird going in with one of the wines—it overwhelmingly smelled and tasted like a rubber tire. Also, my party of 5 people agreed it wasn’t just me. I attempted to tell the staff assuming maybe the bottle was bad but they were very rude and dismissive. I got 2 flights and overall the wine was mediocre.

From baby showers, to weddings and friend gatherings and festivals and just plain coming for a quick glass of wine or wine tasting and enjoying the quiet this is a one of my favorites for many years!

Our second time here, we drove two hours with our travel trailer to utilize our Harvest Hosts membership and stay on their property across the street. The tasting room is very cozy with several tables to sit with a flight or a bottle. You can also bring your own food, or try their charcuterie-style menu. The staff are very friendly. And the overall atmosphere of the winery and surrounding areas is peaceful and laid back. We really enjoy coming here for a weekend getaway and bringing back home a case of wine.

This winery is truly special—not only for its outstanding wine and warm, attentive service, but also for its powerful history. Each glass is crafted with care, and the staff (❤️Joanne) makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. What sets this place apart is that it was once part of the Underground Railroad. Standing on the same grounds where people sought freedom adds a moving layer of meaning to the visit. It’s rare to find a place where excellent wine, genuine hospitality, and such profound history come together so seamlessly. A must-visit for anyone who values both great taste and great stories.

Stopped in for a drink and to cool down after a day at the zoo. The hostess was very nice, wine was tastey, tasting room was cool and comfortable. They were out of the self-guided tour guides, but the host let us know where we could wander around. Would definitely return!

Exceptional wines! The Cool Cat Rita and Kitty Colada… *chef’s kiss*. We stayed here using Harvest Host and will absolutely be staying here again.

We stopped in Sunday June 8th and each had a wine flight along with a charcuterie board. The wine was delicious and the charcuterie board was the best we ever had with a variety of snacks to please everyone! We would highly recommend anyone to give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!

They have the best wine around. I literally come from across the US to buy their wine. It is amazing and I will always adore their wine!

The wine is spectacular. They have high quality wine for every palette. Caleb was so kind and knowledgeable. The ladies in the tasting room are so kind. It’s the coziest atmosphere. Highly recommend for your next special event, wedding, or just a Saturday afternoon girl’s day out.

Came here for a date night with my honey & it was an exquisite evening thanks to our wonderful server Kayla who made our tasting room experience so memorable. We each ordered $15 3oz flights, & charcuterie boards. Looking back we could've ordered one charcuterie board though. For my sweet wine people, the polecat is amazing. If you're into spicy, I recommend the fired up; it kicks a sweet & spicy punch. The blackberry merlot was a nice semi sweet wine, perfect to split for folks who prefer sweet or dry wine. Back to Kayla--she was attentive to our needs, offering water, popcorn, and at the end, sweet treats. She truly made this experience so wonderful & the environment would not be the same without her. Overall, 10/10 recommend this beautiful vineyard. They have a tasting room, patio off the tasting room with live music, back patio with cute hanging lights, and extra outdoor seating with additional space for another music act. Oh, and I love their pond, which is filled with 500 gallons of rainwater that comes off the roof.

First time at the winery to attend a coed baby shower which was located in the top of the renovated barn and was accessed from the back side of the main building. The space was very clean and maintained many of the large timber framing tobreult in a really neat surrounding. The winery had many different seating and event areas that could be rented for parties and events. Small parking area in the front and large parking areas in the back. Comfortable store and tasting area in the front where you can sit and enjoy a bottle or a PA craft brew or try a variety of wine flavors with a wine flight. Lots of wine varieties to choose from and ended up leaving with a number of bottles. They also had nice and comfortable seating areas for relaxing with a glass or bottle in front or to the side of the front. They also have RV parking accross the street and there were some electric hook ups providing power if staying the night in your RV.

We love this place! We checked out Armstrong on a whim on our way home from something. We are so glad we checked it out. It is gorgeous, had live music, and the prices were decent. We got flights to try out a few wines, which were excellent. The staff was kind and answered our questions. They offered us popcorn and oyster crackers to make sure we had something to munch on between wines. I was very happy with our experience!

Yet another gem tucked away in Halifax Pa. This was our first visit to the Armstrong valley winery. We'll definitely be stopping back to do some more testing, I'd have to say my 2 favorites today were kitty kolada and late harvest. Awesome atmosphere, beautiful setting. Definitely a must to visit.

The place is amazing. Was here for a Charcuterie Board Event and we had a blast. Calb was one of the 4 owners of the winery and he was very personable with each person at every table. You can’t find customers service like that anymore. I can’t wait to come back.

Amazing wine and atmosphere! My family and I stopped on an RV trip, and it was the best wine we had on the trip. The Rasberry wine is a MUST!

Absolutely great place! The winery is scenic, charming, and a real hidden gem. Great for a causal afternoon of wine tasting or large events. They have a wide selection of wines and many dry wines, which is hard to find in central PA. The indoor areas are very nice and the outdoor areas are beautiful. May want to bring bug spray if you're planning on being outside.
