Absolutely amazing service! We broke down just ahead of a massive snow storm that was closing all the highways in the state. Not only did they move quickly, but had plans in place for what to do in a whole miriad of circumstances to both get us moving as fast a possible and keep us safe when the storm did hit. Andrew and Tracy were amazing and I can't thank them enough. On top of everything else, they realized I had left my headphones in their truck while I was warming up and got them shipped back home for me.

I was stranded on the highway with a fully loaded nine car hauler & the situation could have easily gone very wrong. Thankfully Harry from H&J Towing & Recovery showed up & completely turned things around. From the moment he arrived Harry was professional calm & extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to walk me through every step of the process explaining exactly what needed to be done to safely tow & transport a car hauler carrying nine vehicles. He carefully inspected the setup checked weight distribution secured everything properly & made sure all safety procedures were followed before moving anything. What really stood out was how patient & informative Harry was. He didn’t rush the job & made sure everything was done the right way to avoid any damage to the hauler or the vehicles. In a stressful situation his confidence experience & friendly attitude made a huge difference. Thanks to Harry’s attention to detail and expertise the car hauler was safely removed from the highway and transported without any issues. If you ever need reliable professional towing especially for heavy or complex loads I highly recommend H&J Towing & Recovery & ask for Harry. Outstanding service from start to finish.
Absolutely horrible! They were the first 24 hour towing company that showed when I googled. My husband hit a deer at 4am. I called HJ as I was on my way to him. Spoke with a woman who put me on hold for awhile. (Not a huge deal) But after all information was given she told me that it'd be about an hour till someone showed up to pick up vehicle for 500$ (pretty expensive) but it's 4am wasn't sure I had any other choice. After an hour goes by she called me back to tell me that she called the police and they are on their way and a dispatch guy is just now leaving to show up! Why would you not tell me you were going to call the police when I originally called and why wait an entire hour before letting me know that's what you did?! Was the point to try and hem someone up?!? She waited to tell me till the police were literally pulling up behind me. It was a deer that was hit? Not anyone's property or any other vehicle. I was clearly not leaving the scene as the car was disabled and needed towed. The car had a safely feature that will not turn on once any air bag is deployed. I was sitting there waiting for an hour with two kids and my husband for absolutely no reason, Just to be told we had to wait another hour. Why would you not say that when I called for a tow truck. You do this every day for a living and you don't inform that? Absolutely insane. Once she told me that info, I cancelled immediately and found an amazing small business who answered the phone right away in the middle of his sleep( you could clearly tell). And was there in 45 minutes! Shout out to Hirt towing and recovery!
Brian was absolutely fantastic, he was super kind and very efficient and quick! He made sure I got into my apartment before leaving and showed genuine care about myself and situation. I can’t recommend him or HJ towing enough. Truly a fantastic experience after and very unfortunate accident.
My truck shut down on a turning lane off 52 exit on I-81 S but Jake and Jacob came and saved me from that crazy situation. They were very professional , and came at a fast pace. Call for these guy Anytime you need roadside assistance!!

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. They are the shadiest, most unprofessional business I I have ever encountered. Go through and read the other 1 star reviews and you’ll see they do this frequently. They will tell you one price, charge another. They also refuse legal US tender and will only accept cash. I have filed a suit with the BBB as well as the US attorney general and reported them for violations against GAAP principles. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. The lady in the office is also extremely rude, argues, talks over you to not let you talk. She should not be the voice of a business in any manner. I have reported them to all the proper agencies with documentation.
Hi Everyone, I had a air dryer purge valvel leak on 10/10/2025.Logan showed up in 45 mins and was able to bypass that leak.He was professional, knowledgeable and quick to put me back on the road.The charges for their labor were very fair also. I really recommend them to everyone. Sorry for writing this review very late Logan!!

Logan was super helpful when I had an issue with my car on the turnpike. He got to me quickly and took a look at my car before towing it to see if he could fix it on site. He ended up figuring out the issue and fixing it for me super quickly all while explaining to me what exactly had happened and how he was fixing it. He even had me drive my car around the parking lot to make sure the problem was fixed before leaving. He was super helpful and quick and I was very grateful!
Quickly and easily came and towed my semi truck driver was very informative about the the semi truck that I purchased and knew nothing about I appreciated his knowledge.
Jacob, Harry and Logan are awesome!!! These guys definitely know what they are doing, along with being very professional. They got my rig out of the roadway and towed back to our company yard. Would definitely recommend them!!
Harry was all around. Great guy couldn’t amend somebody with more knowledge. I heard that he. I heard that he is the Oracle of towing and every superhero has to have a sidekick he had Pat with him. Nice guy too.
Driver for giant company and I lost steering and they sent out Tracey to bring me and the truck back. Very professional and great guy to talk to on the way back. He arrived quickly for being a late night call. He arrived and had the rig hooked up in about 15-20 minutes and we were on the way shortly after that. Definitely one of the quickest hooks ups I’ve EVER had. Definitely was a pleasant guy to talk to being a younger trucker and him sharing some of his stories which made the 2 hour ride back go quickly and for me to understand more of how it was.
Jake was awesome! When my rental truck broke down on the side of the highway at night, he got me off the road quick and towed to a mechanic. He came a lot faster than the rental company told me. Much appreciated for the help!
I am a flattened trucker that needed assistance loading booms and Jake showed up quick and loaded my trailer fast and safely. Thanks HJ towing for helping me out they have great service ! Not only towing trucks but picking up booms too.
I had to call these guys after burying my 28,000 pound camper and truck to the axles. We had to get creative on how to get it out, since their heavy duty wrecker was sinking in the field too. They went back to the shop to get a skid steer with a winch box, and that did the trick. They had to drag me about 60 yards back to the main road. They initially gave me a range of cost and said it varies depending on how difficult and time consuming it is to recover the vehicle. By the time we got it out, I expected the price to be close to the top end of that range, but they kept it close to the low end and didn’t try to screw me on price. You people who complain about price need to realize they have hundreds of thousands of dollars in equipment, expertise, and insurance to pay for, and they are there to help when no one else can. Jacob and Nick Crain were very professional and helped me out big time. I highly recommend these guys.
My truck went into d reg and Harry from HJ showed up with a spare tractor. He was friendly and had the spare truck ready for me in no time. The service was fast and he was extremely professional and a good guy to talk to. I would highly recommend Harry and HJ towing
I had a fuel leak under my engine Peterbilt 579. The amount of fuel i was leaking is outrageous. I could not see where it was leaking. I took my truck to HJ Towing. In less than 30 minutes. A tech went under my truck and was able to find the leak. I was surprised be cause the day before i took the truck to TA and the tech told me sorry he cannot see anything. HJ Towing ordered the parts. I got it fixed the next day. They found that i had a leak on my water pump and i was called by Mike and got it fixed. Alex at the front desk is amazing. She make me feel welcome and listen when she patiently wait for me to deal with the bank to pay the invoice. I had a great experience with the team. They have a friendly staff and respect is absolutely the best out of this place. We want more place like HJ Towing. Ps. They have a hotel next door that make very convenient for drivers with breakdowns. Thank you to HJ towing Staff. I did not feel alone the whole entire time i spent there
