Excellent service from Kyle when replacing my battery. He noticed my shift bushing was damaged and went over and above to search the store for the part. He found one! He was very patient while I replaced it and assisted in every way. So glad you noticed that and were concerned for our safety. Thanks again Kyle!

First let me say the folks that work at the Mill Hall and Benner Pike locations in State College are always very friendly and helpful but the inventory is never correct. Just drove from State College to Mill Hall for 2 bolts that they showed in stock to get told when I go there that they only had 1. My phone number is on the online order not sure why they couldn't call.
Was there last week trying to find a replacement battery. Had the old one with me so they could try to match it. The kid that waited on me was NOT helpful at all. I left and went to Auto Zone where the lady was very helpful.
Went in to get fix a flat for a leak that had just started, was about 50 miles from home. The kid told me to let some air out of the tire, as I had already pumped it up, so I did. Then I tried to put the stuff in but it came out of the spray nozzle instead of going into the tire. So I took it back into the store and told them it wasn't working. The kid said it's because the tire wasn't completely flat. So I asked how am I suppose to drive it somewhere to get air when it's flat. He said the can has air in it!!! Yeah,I'm sure that 12 Oz. Can has enough air in it to inflate my tire to 36 psi. He must've thought I'm as stupid as he is. I asked for my money back and they said no because it was "used". By the way, the directions state that the tire does NOT have to be completely flat. This place is a joke.
Kyle provided a 5 star service when they tested and replaced my battery. They talked through every test they ran, gave great instructions when they needed me to turn on/off the vehicle and rev the engine, and advised me to keep my battery receipt handy to ensure I am honored the 3 year warranty, in case something were to happen.
I went from feeling panicked that my car wasn't operating to feeling confident that it was expertly resolved.

Dysfunctional staff. Get it together guys. You would have thought it was everyone's fist day. I needed a switch. That I found myself. Then it took the guy 7 minutes to ring the girl in front of me out. She got one ac charge can. That she picked out her self. Disappointed I probably could have done it all faster at Wal-Mart. Including the mile walk around the store and a self check out!
I needed new windshield wipers and I got great service! I was shown where they were located in the store and which ones I needed. After attempting to put them on myself and failing, two of the employees came out and helped me put them on. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Thank you!
You're lucky if you can get one of them on the phone, and when you do, it's either the grinch or a clueless thing 1/thing 2. In person, they're pretty much the same. If you go in there, you better know what you need, because they don't. They seem to have rehearsed the lines "I have no idea" and "Google it" to the point of not missing a beat. It's less hassle to drive twice the distance to go somewhere else. If you just need a readily available part, it's fine. If yoh need an employee for anything at all, it's worthless.
Today March 14th 202210:15 ish AM. Stopped in for wiper blades. Asked "Grumpy" Behind counter silver hair and grotee. About wipers for my vehicle. All he said between 6&7 and pointed.. I took a few steps to and turned around to ask what do you mean. Loudly says between 6&7....At that exact time someone else asks about wipers...he barks...between 6&7. AYF 'n KIDDING ME? No may I help you. No let's find what you need. Any other Advance Auto Iever walked in the help you immediately and ask what price range you would like get them and install them.
Management...pull the surveillance tapes. & identify the problem. Won't be back...have a camp in your area. I am a business owner for 28 years, my wife also self employed. You deserve this review.
It's cool cuz you can go there and they'll change your wiper blades for you and I just check your all kinds of stuff in your motor I'm not sure what I never had them check anything in my car but I did ask him for help and show me where or how to change the headlamp in my vehicle and I was very impressed because instead of helping me he was truthful and says that most people take him to a dealer to have them done and he wasn't kidding there's so much to do on it but I'm just glad that he told me that instead of trying to accomplish it that he maybe could have broke a wire or something but no he was very kind and very polite about it I appreciate advance thank you
Good place and they will put your windshield wipers on your car for you, they have a great selection of products, but some of their prices are really really high
I went into the store seeking help and guidance on what tool to use to remove a cap on a Subaru Forester low beam headlight. From behind the counter without skipping a beat Andrew tells me to Google it ;Andrew states this as he is standing in front of the store's computer with all sorts of information at his fingertips. I find it hysterical that part of their store signage states we have loaner tools - guess one has to Google for those too before Andrew can help you out. It was the last time I ever spend a dime in this store.
This place seems to get worse everytime I go there or deal with them. There is one older guy out of all them that knows what he’s doing. The rest seem to have no idea. There has been a countless number of times I’ve called for parts and they have no idea what I’m talking about or it’s not in their computer. Or they say they have it just so I drive there for them to say “ oh the computer said we did but it’s not here, we can get it in at 2:30!!” Yeah so instead of going to the back to see if it’s actually there I’ll just drive 20 minutes back home and wait around till 2:30 then drive back…. I just ordered brakes and rotors on the 3rd of this month, spent a couple hundred dollars for them and also paid extra for the fast shipping because I need them. It’s now the 11th and it says they’re still being processed. I kind of blame myself for this because I forget that Napa is like right down the road from this place.
They pretty much have everything stashed into a little store that you need. If they do not have it give them 30 minutes and it will magically appear. The staff at mill hall pa has always been decent.
Do not expect anything from this place anymore. I've tried ordering from this place multiple times and was told a guarantee date for different parts and when I called about if my parts showed up they said they had no idea when they were coming if when I was told they would be there on a certain date. If you actually want to be told when parts will show up then go to State College Benner Pike Advanced! The benner pike store has yet let me down when I order parts. When they say the parts will show up a certain day I can guarantee the parts will show up. DO NOT SHOP AT ADVANCED MILL HALL!!! WORTHLESS.
My husband and I had some warning lights come on in our Subaru, we don't know much about cars.
We brought it to Advanced Auto to see if someone might be able to offer some advice for what was needed.

Dont ask any questions you can't answer yourself. These people are nothing but trained monkeys to run a register. I've never seen such lazy kids. Price I and proximity are the only reason they're in business. It's not intelligence.
Collin was very rude even after the manager said they will make the mistake right. If the wiper was wrong why didnt they guy from last night know that. Never in my life have I gone to an auto parts store and have someone argue when it was on them. Manager was awesome Collin needs a customer service check.
Every time I went to them they either didn’t have the part or it didn’t show up in the computer, when they did have the part it was double or triple the price of it online. I had two people look at my vehicle for something I already told them about and they were still confused. Not happy with their service. Only good thing is some of the small gadgets like light hook ups and switches and they can hook up a reader to you’re car for free other then that, go on line and save yourself the money.
My husband and I had a problem with our headlights working. One of the gentlemen that works there stepped up and went above and beyond to help us find our problem. It was cold and snowing, but still came out to install the parts that were needed. Unfortunately we did not get his name. Thanks to him my husband will be able to drive to work at 4 in the morning.
I love advance Auto, however this particular one we visited on Saturday for Motor oil for our GMC pickup, they were not very nice. 3 men, not doing anything & were rude & couldn't be bothered with my questions when I asked a question about my oil light showing "low oil". ! C'mon staff!! Get it together! Without US ( patron's), you wouldn't have a store. :/
Bought a U Scan bluetooth OBD diagnostics scanner that is linked to the smartphone. At 90 dollars it was a waste of money, coded 2 things that ended up not being the problem in the end . Better off using the 5 dollar Torque app with a 20 dollar bluetooth adapter, would have gotten the same results and have real time gauges and saved 70 dollars, even better Advanced should step up to the plate and ,do what autozone does and come out to your car and plug in a scanner for Free but, what should they do that when they can sell you something.
Great way to not save any money on just what you need! I been there several times in recent months an haven't saved a penny from Google search code offers!! Great way to spend money on your Auto needs!! Manager is about as frisky like friendly as a alligator when it comes to codes from Google or his own store's website alleged Savings!!
