Looking around for a shop to diagnose a fuel system issue, after being given issues from other shops because I couldn't prove i knew what I was talking about i found these guys.. took my car in and got it diagnosed, got the parts ordered, and then found out the main part was on back order. They found one at a local dealership and got it for me next day. Waiting for parts was the longest part about 2 weeks from diagnosis to fixing it, but they went above what they had to to make sure my car got fixed. I very much appreciate the professionalism, and not brushing me off when I went to them and told them what I thought the problem was. I will 100% be using them for my car needs from here on out im beyond happy with my experience here.
These guys came to my rescue. My reason for saying that is because this past Saturday, I had an appointment scheduled with an auto repair shop in State College. When I took my car to the place on North Atherton they turned me down. The mechanic complained that the part is hard to get to underneath the engine. This news was upsetting, and I felt let down. Not knowing my next move, I decided to google auto repair Shops near me. After being turned down from five auto repair shops that Saturday morning, I finally came across TVC Auto Mechanic & Body. When I called them, I told the guy the problem with my vehicle and they took me in right away without an appointment. My 2013 Lexus GS 350 was repaired the next day. I’m very satisfied with their auto mechanical skills.
Extremely helpful and honest. Lee was very patient and helpful, taking time to answer my questions and communicate about my car over text and phone. As it ended up, my car did not need the work we thought it did, and they ended up refunding the full amount for the diagnosis. I see that as going above and beyond to put customers first!

I was driving to Harrisburg when my tire suddenly blew out, about 40mins from State College. I had never changed a tire before and didn’t know what to do. I called several auto shops, but only TVC could come.
They arrived quickly, replaced the tire efficiently, and even helped me contact a nearby garage to arrange a proper replacement. Their professionalism and willingness to help really stood out. I truly appreciate their quick response and great service. Highly recommend TVC.
Overall service is okay, but poor management and weak diagnostic skills. I went for a state inspection; they fixed the rear axle and issued the passing stickers. The same day, the mechanic pointed out a differential seal leak and asked me to return after ordering the part. After replacement, he found another major issue with the differential itself. I’ve already spent over $1,000, yet new problems keep appearing, which raises doubts about their diagnosis and communication.
I came here today for an oil change and state inspection, and the experience was great! The staff were professional, friendly, and worked efficiently. They explained everything clearly and finished the service faster than I expected. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely come back for future maintenance—highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest and reliable service!

I had an issue during PSU move-in weekend and I needed help so I could make the hours long trip home. I thought it was a bad alternator but was incorrect. TVC helped me at the last minute and spent a lot of time diagnosing and trouble shooting the issue. They were very kind, honest and reasonable. I made it home safely thanks to them. I highly recommend this auto repair and detailing shop.
My car made a squeaking sound when driving. I went to TVC after the first shop I went to suggested a repair that did not make sense. The owner worked overtime to diagnose and fix the issue. He was knowledgeable, careful and thorough, and was honest with the repairs that were needed. Highly recommend taking your car here!
