My husband and I just got cut off and ran off the road by this driver . He was speeding in a shopping area cutting anyone in his way off . If I owned a company I would not want people driving like that representing my company. Beware. There are much safer towing companies to use.
If you have check engine light issue don’t come here. I wish I could give them -100. They know nothing about check engine light issue. They wasted my time and suggested me something very wrong thing which cost my money and time. It just needed some cleaning but this guy wasted my time and money for not identifying the correct issue. I would suggest pinehollowdiagonostics (Google it) for check engine light issue and they are super good and efficient.
I've been to many vehicle maintenance shops across three states in my time owning a car, and this is the first the mechanic actually explained what they found and why they wanted to change certain things. Took my car in for a check engine light, and Graham's had me in and out in half a day. I will absolutely return the next time I need maintenance in State College.
Broke down on I80 ...Grahams was dispatched to tow me...arrived quickly and got my van onto the flatbed truck quickly and us off the shoulder of the road on a curve and exit area..
.whew...never so glad to not have to look at the rear view mirror at 70mph+ traffic coming at me..

If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic, then Graham's is the place to go. Been lucky to have these folks as my go-to mechanic for 6 years now. They are friendly, accomodating, and honest. They take the time to answer questions and cover all the details. It's affordable, too, since they won't ever try to upsell you. Highest recommendation from me.
My daughter was able to get an appointment about 6 days out and they were so kind, helpful, respectful and honest. Braking sound she was hearing was merely a missing bolt, so they reattached everything and got her fixed up for a whopping $60. Many shops would take advantage of such a situation, but not Graham's. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The towing service was amazing! I have a 1967 Plymouth Fury III and I went through AAA to have it towed via flatbed, and honestly, I would never choose anyone else to go to. The driver was very friendly and professional and made sure my vehicle was 100% secured and I felt more comfortable allowing Grahams to handle my vehicle than I have in a long time!
I have an appointment with them for repairs/inspection so if their mechanic team is as friendly and experienced as the drivers, I will be extremely pleased and take all my vehicles here in the future!

The entire staff, both towing and mechanic, have been outstanding and wonderful! They are very fairly priced and I would trust them with all my vehicles. The work they do is amazing, and they have connections with some of the best people around town. The person they sent my radiator to for repair (as its the original and can’t be easily replaced with the same version) was also fairly priced and did an excellent job. It honestly looks like a brand new radiator. They got my vehicle back up and running and it has never purred like it did after getting it back from them.

Grahams are the most honest repair shop I've had the pleasure of working with. We had brought our car to them for inspection after being told by another "reputable" shop that our car needed 1000's$ repairs. They walked us through what was needed and saved us so much $. We bring our vehicles here for inspections and repairs and have never had an issue!
DO NOT GO HERE!!! Took my car in asking about the check engine light, some wobbling, and for an oil change. They charged me like $50 to read the engine code even though I told them which code it was giving when I dropped it off and said it was the catalytic converter and asked them if they could see about changing it. All they did was tell me the code I already knew was on it and tell me they didn’t work on catalytic converters and to go to the dealership. Wasted $50.
My oil change also was leaking which I noticed a few weeks after I got the car back. I changed it again myself and noticed they cross threaded my oil pan plug bolt so I had to buy a new one and do the oil change myself anyways. When I called and asked about it the owner got mad, said he’d call me back, and never did. They can’t even perform a basic oil change right and when they screw it up they won’t give you a refund. Wasted $50.
They also charged me flu whipper fluid without asking which was just annoying cause I could have bought a whole jug of it for what they charged me. The only thing they actually did right was diagnose my wobbling problem which was just that my rear tires needed changed.
TLDR: Bunch of lying bums who can’t even do a basic oil change.
My daughter drives in at 6pm to see if someone could take a look at a slow leak she had in one of the tires, mind you she's 4 hours away from home and after my daughter explained that she had gotten the tire fixed before she left home after the Easter break, that today the tire was again losing air and if they could possibly check it for her since the tire pressure was going down even more. They close at 9pm yet he tells her to come back tomorrow.
And here I am looking for a shop she can go to if any issues while she's away at school with her car. Thanks for nothing and best believe she'll tell her friends to avoid this shop at all cost.
This company is absolutely fair and honest. I’ve had many issues with an older car, needing a new alternator in a short amount of time and they did an excellent job. Inspections and oil changes are very fairly priced. This is a great service center for college students. Highly recommend.
Grahams Exxon towing is the best towing service in state college by far. Their drivers are polite and courteous. Professional and respectful when getting ready to tow equipment or when they’re providing a jump start service.
Grahams was amazing! I took my car there this afternoon after experiencing a slow leak and they said they’d call in an hour. Almost an hour on the dot, they called to tell me my car was all fixed and ready to go. Everyone was super nice and their prices were more than fair. Highly recommend, especially to Penn State students
My son needed help with a flat tire. They were honest about the repair when they could have tried to sell him a new tire. This is the second time we have used Grahams. Pleased with the customer service.
"We’re the most friendly, honest auto repair team in the area.". That's what the web site says. That's crap.
I purchased AAA for my daughter so that if she had an emergency, she would be taken care of. At 2:30 p.m. she realized that she had lost her keys and was unable to drive the hour and a half home. She called AAA to have them tow it back here. 3 hours later AAA called and said that the towing company was not coming out. That towing company was Graham's.
I went on the app to set up a new request. It again showed that Graham's was the provider. So after getting confirmation in the app that they were on the way out, I called to make sure. I can't tell you how rude, dismissive and uncaring they are.
When I asked whether they were going to pick her up he said no. His guys were too busy. I said, but we called over 3 hours ago. He said simply, yeah. I said so you guys just decided not to do jobs if you don't feel like doing it? He said yep. I said my daughter is stranded right now and you're not going to do it because you just want to make more money towing stuff in town. He basically said, that's the way it is.
So two things. I've been a member of AAA for 30 years. That's probably going to come to an end. But before I canceled that membership, I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that those uncaring jerks lose their affiliation and that everyone knows what they really care about.
I accidentally locked my keys in the car and gave Grahams a call. 25 minutes after I called them my car was unlocked, and I was on my way. The tech was fast, friendly and professional. I would definitely use them again in the future.
Larry the owner of Graham's Service Center is a top notch great guy. I have a Nissan Pathfinder and I accidentally pulled over a cement barrier in a parking stall at a local restaurant.It caught on the corner of my front bumper cover and pulled it loose when I backed out of the parking stall. My friend recommended stopping to see if Larry could put it back in place since I had over 1 1/2 hour ride home that included traveling I-80, I agreed. Larry came out and put the cover back in place like nothing had happened and wouldn't accept any payment for his time or anything else. If I were in the area, I would use Larry and Graham's Service Center for all of my automotive needs. If you're looking for a reliable,honest mechanic I recommend Larry and Graham's Service Center.
Great people, quick service. Perfect place to get an inspection as a student. Just found out 3 months after getting an inspection+tire rotation that they way over tighten tire lugs, which is not convenient when you need to change to a spare on your way to work. Would still recommend just keep that in mind.
I always choose these guys to get my cars towed. Always arrive super fast, and willing to deal with whatever unfortunate spot my vehicles might be in. Haven't ever had anybody show up in a bad mood. Can't say the same about other tow businesses taking aaa calls.
Great auto service and full service fuel station with professional staff. I’ve been dealt disappointment with many of the big chains over the years like Firestone pep boys etc. totally different ball game at grahams. They are efficient and do the work that he needs done without trying to rob you. Unlike big corporate these small companies rely on the vision of the boss to make good or bad decisions and Grahams obviously care about their reputation.
I couldn't find any other towing services around State College. Fortunately, Graham's was helpful, easy to work with, and fairly priced, so it was all good. They were not offended that I wanted my car towed to a different service station. I left my car key at Graham's, so they could pick up my car and drop it off to my preferred service station at their convenience, which they did without me having to be there.
I researched a lot of garages in the area and the positive reviews at Graham’s Exxon were promising. My daughter has our well-maintained (but 18-year-old) family vehicle on campus and it was time for inspection. Graham’s provided exceptional, honest service and was a pleasure to work with both in-person and on the phone. It’s comforting to know there’s a professional, reliable garage close to campus to rely on in the future.
Ever since I moved into the state college area, I haven't really had good experiences with people working on my car or responding to roadside assistance calls. Grams is now my go-to for roadside assistance calls whenever I am in the area. They took my call at 6:00 p.m. on a weeknight They arrived in less than 30 minutes. And had the job done and me on the road in less than 25 minutes! Thank you thank you thank you!
My daughter has the Jeep out at school and we needed a ‘local to her’ trustworthy shop to look at it as it had the “death wobble”. Graham’s was highly recommended on the PSU Parents Group so I called & they got the Jeep right in. They were honest with their assessment & fair with pricing. Since then we’ve also had new wheels and tires shipped out to them and they put them on and are now our go to for all maintenance & anything else that may pop up! Highly recommend them!
They are literally the most accommodating and helpful people! I had a tire depressurize on me right before a weekend trip so I called them in the morning today (Friday) to see if they could check it and they had it resolved by noon. Super reasonably priced too. I would go there the next time without a second thought.
