Was told I could recycle oil with this particular retailer in this location was told to go around back and I could empty my containers myself at the back dock there were no signs indicating oil recycling. There were no tanks to dump the oil into.will head back to location to ask specifically the location of recycling tanks .
I ordered an online order for SAME DAY DELIVERY, the confirmation said I would receive it between 11am and 8pm well no part showed up to my house and still has not shown up as of 4pm the next day ! So cancelled the order and getting refund ! Do not order online same day delivery because they charge you for it but don’t bring the parts ! Do not offer the service if you don’t want to do your job a deliver the parts !!!!
The other night I had to stop to get a new battery. Trey was super kind, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful! Having a great team that is always willing to assist is a huge relief. This store has been my go to for a few years and will continue to be.

The employees are nice and willing to help, however the reason for 2 stars is the store was closed at 7:43pm on 9/30/22. The website and tag on the door says store closes at 9pm, but that wasn’t the case.
I bring a oil filter tool for return, which it wasn't fit my car, the tool is not even used, and just tested the size, the store staff tried to refuse my return because there is a very minor sign of touch. They said according to their policy, the tool is not returnable, and after I check advance auto.com, there are no such policy, then he took it back.
Went for help finding a blown fuse, the employee was extremely rude and condescending. He refused to help me. I went down road to auto zone, and they were extremely helpful and replaced the blown fuse for me. I’ll never go back to this advance.
The store associates are so nice and helpful. Any time I have (stupid)questions they have been patient and I really really appreciate their professionalism.
One of the most well stocked auto parts places in state college. If they don't have it. They can get it pretty quick. But they have had almost everything I have needed so far in stock
Rude employees that wont help you. They say you need a part number to look up products to buy. Even though they can look up make and model to give a list of parts, just like you can online. Going down the street to autozone, I'll never give them my business again.

Counter guys and gals are polite and knowledgeable. Love the online purchase discount options. Also, adding Carquest to the fold perhaps pushed Advance past Autozone in my opinion.
Some of the employee customer service skills are lacking, definitely far behind other advanced auto parts locations. I wouldn't recommend this particular location.
It was sooooooo great to buy auto parts here. I bought a battery yesterday, the buddy patiently explained the problem of my battery and helped me replaced it.
Ive been going/ordering from advance auto parts for 2 years and everytime I come in the staff is friendly, well knowing and quick. They got my business look online for great deals!
The guys there a really nice and willing to give advice and recomendations. Just be aware that what their computer calls for may not always be correct. Overall good place to get the parts you need.
I was asked how I knew my car was dead. I may be a woman, but when I say "I've had my battery since 2012 and my car wouldn't start this morning, my husband had to give me a jump" I expect help acquiring a new battery, not asking how I know my car battery needs replacing.
