Update March 2024. Incredibly rude people. The price varies extremely from store to store. Sometimes you can drive an hour and save. I was researching a battery for my car and it was $189 here and $142 in Mill Hall at Napa
I do like NAPA for vehicle parts. I don't like it when the guy behind the counter ask me what size engine is in my vehicle or if it has an automatic transmission when I am buying wiper blades!
The Nittany NAPA had the part I wanted while others were out of stock. It is easy to get in and out and I always felt NAPA parts were a little higher quality then many auto parts stores.
Ive been here several times over the last few years, every time i stop in they never have what I need. Today I ordered a simple set of brake pads online and it said pick up today. I get there and the guy seemed bothered to help me and guess what, no brake pads, said they would be there after 3.30. No sale and no further business from me.
Used this place 4 years in a row for inspection. I was never thrilled with the service but after this latest experience, I'll never use them again. Here's what happened: Called and got an appointment for a Friday. Dropped the car off the night before as instructed. Called twice during the day to get progress report. There was no progress but each time I was told they would get to it. The third time I called (around 5:45) they told me that they weren't going to get to it that day. Keep in mind that they never once called me to tell me anything. I told them I wanted to pick the car up and they said sure, we close at 6pm. This is about 5:45 pm. Remember, I don't have a car because they have it. By the time I arranged a ride and get there it's about 6:15 pm. The facility is closed and nobody is around for me to get my keys so I have to wait until Saturday to get my car (and it's still not inspected!). When I get there this little troll- of- a- man acts like it's my fault. I laughed in his fat little face and told him what I thought of him and his operation. Never again.
Decent parts and easy enough to pick up an order, but not the friendliest of folks. Eye rolls and deep sighs don't really help your customer support rating, but in the end they got the job done. I guess it could have just been a few bad days for them when I stopped by.
Seems like a standard Napa. Everytime I've gotten parts in there, I go in with a clear description and usually get a part immediately with no issues.
The parking lot is really tight to turn in though. Watch out if you have a long vehicle.
Gave me the wrong paint color and didn't even tell me it wouldn't be the exact mix. It ruined my car's paint and now I have to redo the whole car again!
