I had came in on valentines day, excited to go to this vineyard, wanting to try a flight and maybe take a bottle home. I had came in talked to the employees, they told me they were having a special and busy so it might be a minute. I told them to take there time, little did i know that I be at this vineyard for an hour. With 3 other walk-ins, coming in after us. They serve them all, except my non white boyfriend and I. The guests that came in after us didnt have a reservation just like us, and we're served before us. Feels like a waste of a valentines day.
My sister took me here for a wine tasting and cheese and salami board. It was my first time doing anything like this, and I loved the experience. My favorite wine out of the four I tried was the Mountain Sunset wine. It was a great experience, and I would gladly go again if I was in the area.
I stopped in for a wine flight with some cheese and crackers. They have very tasty dry wines. Others in my group said the sweet wines were good also. I ended up leaving with a few bottles for home, which i thought were at a good price. They have a nice selection of cheese and crackers. The staff are very friendly. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. Plenty of parking. Family friendly. Overall, I would recommend.
I visited July 4th weekend and enjoyed the wine very much. I have traveled to a lot of wineries in the US and Mt Nittany wine is my favorite so far! I can only speak for the reds as that is what I had this time. The staff is great and very helpful.
We went to the winery with high expectations. We had no sooner been seated, and given a flight list, when we were asked if we were ready to choose. Pretty rude in my opinion. After we chose our wine flight, I like sweet and my wife dry. I only liked one of the wines. Another couple who was in our group also only liked the Mountain Mist, as did I. My wife didn’t care for any of the dry wines. Which was quite surprising. Imagine our surprise when we paid for a flight of wines, only to be told that the only one we considered buying was sold out. If you can’t sell the wine, don’t charge me to try it. No one on our party will ever go back there again. I gave them one star because that’s all they deserved.
This is place is so good that I visit it every year. This year I went there for third time, but a lot changed this year. They denied to serve flights to my group, saying that it will be difficult to serve a group of 12. Also, when I went to buy the bottles they asked all of my family to come one by one to buy just one bottle each. It caused a lot of inconvenience. Maybe it was because heavy crowd. They also asked my group to leave the seat after 1.5 hours, even though we were still ordering. Idk why they changed there methods. But, it was a lot cool previously and now it has become overcrowded which has ruined the experience.
I love your wines. Chardonnay is my favorite. We live in Florida and order a case of a variety of wines. I saved the Chardonnay Reserve for last. I was ver disappointed in this one. It may have gone bad. I had one glass and couldn't drink anymore. Also, it's very yellow. Even though we're in a typically warm climate, it was in the 40s when it was delivered so I don't think temperature was the issue. Still, we love Mt. Nittany Winery. We'll be ordering more next winter.
Not impressed. We were out to have a relaxing day of wining. We had a chauffeur for a small group of couples. We made our reservations with multiple places in the State College area. This was by far disappointing! The staff were rude, unaccommadating, and unwelcoming. This is truly too bad, as the location and wine were beautiful. As a result of this awful experience we didn't make any additional purchases and will be spreading the news to all of the wine lovers we know. Be more professional Mount Nittany Winery.
Last week, I visited there, and having tried other vineyards around State College, I can say this one is my favorite. Not only is the location incredibly beautiful and cool, but the staff and the taste of the wines are also exceptional, all at an affordable price in my opinion. I can't describe it in words because the entire drive to this place is stunning, and the vineyard itself is extraordinarily beautiful. You should definitely make time to visit this vineyard in every season.
My sister and I each got a wine flight to taste several different wines. Fun experience and delicious wines! Guests can bring their own snacks or purchase food there. Staff was amazing— welcoming, kind, helpful, sweet ladies. Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, we sat outside on the covered deck even on a rainy day. We’ll be back!

I just googled 'Things to do near me', hit the 'Directions' button on Google maps and landed at Nittany Vineyards.
Apparently, you need to reserve in advance, but since I was alone, the nice lady somehow arranged a seat for me even though they were super busy.
All kinds of locally produced wines, cheese, salami and crackers. Perfect!
Definitely a must-visit attraction in Penn State.
Great atmosphere. Service was great. We got there before it got really busy. They offer different tasting types. And have food on hand to try with them. Would recommend for sure.
We were visiting from Chicago and loved this winery. Such a gorgeous location with fabulous wine and friendly service. Their staff is very knowledgeable about their varieties with helpful recommendations based on preference. They also have a great selection of cheeses to pair with your wine to make your visit perfect!
The staffhere is nice and helpful. The views are beautiful. They have some delicious wines. I like their system of handing you a paper to select your 5 wines for a flight, then you receive the paper back with the flight so you know what you're drinking.
There is plenty of seating inside and outside and around the pond. I really enjoyed being able to unwind in the beautiful scenery.
Very cozy a spacious winery with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tons of room outside the tasting room to spread out with some friends and not be so close to everyone else. Every wine that we tasted with excellent and the cheeses were great too. Would definitely be back if we ere travel back up to State College again.
Beautiful winery tucked into the hills of Mt.Nittany. The wine tasting was a perfect event for our family. You can bring your own food or they have a small selection available.
Great little winery with beautiful rural scenery surrounding a pretty but modern building with a comfortable interior. Staff were delightful, and the Linden Vale rosé was my absolute favorite, followed closely by the Chardonnay Reserve from 2020, Moscato (with honeysuckle notes), and Cabernet Sauvignon. Didn't find a wine I didn't like - and tried at least 15!
A handful of customers at 3:30 or so on Thursday, but can't vouch for the weekend. Reasonable priced small size flights of four wines. Hope to be back soon!
Beautiful area tucked into the mountain with a pond and nice places to relax and enjoy your wine. The wine was great and the workers were kind!

100٪ Recommend!!! We had a large group visiting for a tasting and the staff were absolutely phenomenal. We rented the pavilion and upon our arrival the fire pit was lit and cornhole was ready! The grounds and main building were stunningly beautiful. The staff made the process of ordering bottles and food so easy for our large group. We will definitely be back!
We were in State College for a wedding last weekend and found this winery listing. We didn’t have reservations but they fit us in. Not only fit us in, but made us feel so welcome and comfortable! The staff was personable and attentive, answering questions and offering area suggestions. We loved our time there and will be back!

Mount Nittany is currently unable to do tastings, and you must buy food to order wine. We ended up ordering two flights of wine to try all of their dry reds and a few other wines too. We liked several of their dry reds, but bought a bottle of the 2018 Vermelho Port Style wine which was very smooth. They have a lot of nice outdoor seating areas where you can enjoy the wine if the weather is nice, and some covered seating too.
